The U.S. State Department needs to seriously modify its immigration policy and STOP this madness! Somali people are universally HATED no matter where they live: Ethiopia, Kenya, Sweden, Netherlands, Norway, UK, Canada, and especially here in the U.S. Americans have ni interest in accomodating you or your pathetic culture or perverted religion. Heed the warning, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!
@obscure9369 Clearly you're obsessed with Islam & it's pple in a perverted way (ur viewing history says it all), if you're interested to learn what Islam is pick a book up & stop believing what your junky-media feeds you... trolling isn't the right way. And hate isn't a better way to attract supporters either. If you are craving for an attention, you may not get the kind you looking for. Be careful of what you say and how you say it, it determines the kind of a person you're or trying to be....
@Ayan716 I think you should consider studying up on some basic history. I could provide you with specific examples, but I think it should suffice to ask yourself: "How could Islam become a major world religion without the use of violence?" The Ottomans invaded Europe SEVERAL times, pillaging cities the size of Vienna. Muslims are so peaceful that their individual denominations, including shia and Sunnis, have resorted to murdering each other.
We do have some dispute going on within Islam but we the muslims care for all of humanity thats why we love for anyone who is not muslim to join us in living under the law of Allah as Allah is the God of all of creation not just the muslims. If you love your neighbor you wont the best for them and the best is Islam. Violence is inevitable when the cause is greater sometimes it might even be justified. ethiopia and somali never had a religious conquest and we remain muslims +1400yr
With that being said, my fellow Somali friends, it's not wise to speak discontent of the Jews or Christians....America has many of reasons to speak ill of Muslims, but I do not, so please don't speak ill of me
you know what its people like you with your type of mindset that can really make a change even if the change might be small, keep it up, because we got comething in common besides beeing humans, and that is, allways never stereotype or ect, use common-sense and never generalise, since no1 is the same nor think the same....
@beginjp3 wht does america have on muslims...no mean to be rude..but what??? dont say terrorists coz dat has absolutly nothing to do with islam if it does tell me how?...Americans on the otherhand killed millions of native americans...please just explain how we compare?? you guyz are Europeans yes or??? and then also the aborigines in austrailia yall killed millions of them two...tell me one country muslims have gone and kicked them out of there country by killing women kids men??? explain?
I am a white Frenchmen, as white as they come...and all you frickin idiots telling these people to "go back where they came from" is complete bullcrap. I was lucky enough to be a first generation Frenchman back when our nation was still growing...I was never disrespected. Get to know our new friends instead of bashing them. This is America, if you don't like it, you get the F out. Bon soir
@LeighTheGenius its soo obvious you are neither black nor muslim, its stupid to think people would fall for your attempt to exemplify a muslim on a rant, specially with the association betweein islam and ur crudeness, disgusting!!!
Im fasting so will not be engaging in juvenile dissing matches.
Its well decumentry and thank for NPT and others who contribute on their time,After that somalis who immigrated in the world are welldone think in order to help back one's in our my beloved country and its incriable job to survive our people and the land aftermath we need to do more like how to make peace our home land and we will insha llah
be strong we can do it!!! and forget what happened in past what was it!!!
I am going to be completely honest and admit that my view of Somalis was not the greatest. I just always associated them with piracy, civil war, and just sheer anarchy in their country. Now I know that the people are just as kind and loving as most other African nations. If you guys liked this documentary I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest one called "God Grew Tired of Us" which is about a group of Sudanese boy moving to America (called the lost boys of the sudan). It is incredibly moving, funny, sad, etc.
@KATOMATE01 Thank you (: I just wish more Americans (&people of the outside world) would take the time to learn about us and the struggle it is to find out who you are in a place where your considered a "parasite". I will check out that doc.
The conflict in Somalia is affecting the lives of Somalis in the western world. If you have to worry about sending money home to feed family members in need things like education and progress falls on the back burner. I am proud to see Somalis working toward a better future. Good jobs and keep up the good work.
OMG the guy with the white shirt talking @03.00 about his full name, shit we are family ...LOL takar ayaa kashaa abtiriskaada, manshallah.. i am 3rd generation of takar family too,, am from New Zealand.. nice to see one of my cousins here
@Conspiracyknowledge LOL takar is my great grandfather...thats his nickname, his real name is muxamed muxamud, he is very known and he has like 3 generations of children, whch makes me the 3rd generation...its not a tribe or clan, just blood related family
for me if it was between stayin in somalia n dying or movin to the US, i would have chosen death n somalia walahi. but am proud of my ppl livin that hateful country,,not big fan of US or Israel but i aplaud my ppl. atlst they r workin hard n r independent n dnt need any hand outs...Dont forget ur roots, inshallah we will go back soon
@WellConditionedChimp its not meant to be hateful, its meant to speak of the truth n reality... lets face it, in todays west...thy r afraid of chnge and seeing ppl like these stil stickn to their culture...am noit attackin or pickn on US,, i got families that live there, and am grateful thy took them in wen needed..
@WellConditionedChimp welll yeah thats truth, off course the US is afraid of change,, who is not afraid of change? Theres no need for u to take every statement to the heart or personal... i am just sharing my opinion and am not hurting any1.. if i did,, i am sorry mate... btw im nt a dude,
@Falisia11 My apologies. I use the term "dude" loosely. You are living in Somalia now? Are you Somali? What a fascinating, frightening situation there. I hope the best for it. Regardless, your words are still written above: you'd rather have died then gone there...the country is hateful....the country is afraid of change. There's no need to hide your distaste for the US - I'm not proud of it either. I just hope that you don't generalize those feelings toward all Americans - that would be racist
@WellConditionedChimp LOL trust me i got nothing against all of the americans,, there r the few black sheeps in every race and countries,, i got heaps of family n relatives down there...hahaha LMO i am somali but Goodness gracious No aint living in somalia right now. i left in 1993, never went bk.. anywho i was just pointin out my point of view,, nothin racist towards any1...

This documentary was very inspiring. I'm sure it's very difficult to leave behind everything you've come to know and start all over else where. I am very proud of the group of people who were shown in this video. Like the saying goes "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade," these people have all applied that concept their situations, however unique it maybe.
