That is just awesome...That dog is as loyal as it gets.... The wife has total control over every MOFO in her family...I have a Malonise and he get loud when my husband hugs me...I would never allow my dog to act that aggressive because my husband would take a shovel to his head...That is unreal !
It looks like fear-aggressive behavior. Dogs are more likely to exhibit this in enclosed areas, such as the inside of cars; while standing next to their owners in the yard, on a bed, or even while out for a walk. Pointing, and the owner's soothing voice, of course, encourages it. Some dogs will growl and bark on cue if you point so much as finger at them. And running from a fear-aggressive dog can trigger a chase instinct.
Actually the smaller one died first Sasha she was 17. Pretty old she also had the hip issues. The king shep ( he was just called a king shep because he was giant and was a police rescue.) The king shepherd was about 17 maybe 17 1/2 I think died of old age. Big dogs dont live long. My collie mix is 15.
@DogSoldier011 I'll do you one better than a damn book, I own a German Shepherd and you will never NEVER see my girl act in such a naughty way. Yes German Shepherds are warriors WHEN TRAINED CORRECTLY! NOT WHEN THEY ARE ENCOURAGED TO GROWL AND BARK IN SUCH A WAY AS YOURS. What is your dog being a "warrior" in this video from? Are you the enemy because that's exactly what it looks like. From the outside looking in.
@gillette888 ive read many books on them & im also getting one soon. this dog was trained to show teeth and gorwel if you didnt read the captions at the bottom of the video ! i also know many people with these animals! GSd's are the most vesatile dog breed in the world !
@DogSoldier011 No dog should be allowed to show it's teeth, GSD or Chihuahua. You should only see teeth in a form of work (police, Shutz., military) or protecting their family. Yes this dog has been trained to show his teeth, but that doesn't make it right. Yes they are versatile but in the hands of someone who needs an extension of his manhood this dog can be a dangerous weapon waiting to go off.
@gillette888 only if the Owner were in Danger this dog would act out his horic side, do you even have a GSd ? a family comapion is capbaple of doing anything its owner teaches him or not. the GSd is very loyal. i have dogs that are capble of fending off unwanted vermin, but their not police dogs ? pet or not he can defend his owner without being a a service dog.
@HedgieDiva Thank you! This video makes big dogs look mean and dangerous. When they are the sweetest smartest dogs ever, WHEN TRAINED CORRECTLY. I have owned two German Shepherds, a pit, American Bulldog, and a Boxer and none of my dogs ever acted this way. They were happy to see and and they would talk to me but bark in my face and show teeth, hell no!
well well well.... someone doesn't like being on film i see...that was funny as hell.... he jumps in the car sees the camera and gets pissed. lol love it! love those big bat ears too. nice video.
He's not angry. He's just communicating his discomfort. He WANTED her to help him in. He just had to say something about it, and then he was probably just sucked into the attention he was getting. (you can see his tail wagging) Lastly, the dog would rather go and have a little trouble getting in and out of the truck than to be left behind.
my shepherd is 13 and needs help getting into the car as well. not in pain just weak although we go to the dog park and she'll walk around all day. slow going up and down stairs too.
he looked pissed off to me. im in school to be a dog trainer, and those are one of the signs of a pissed off dog, but you know your dog very well...so i would assume you would know when your dog is pissed or not but if it were me in that vehical i would have backed away very carefully.
@MickyDSmileyFace You have my sincerest sympathy. Mine died June 30, 2006. I cried more for him than when my mother died. The pain of the loss becomes easier, but he will always be in your heart.
@countrybabe561 Yeah, my German Shepard is a sweetheart toward everyone, but she's my shadow. Even though I go to work for 8 hours a day and she's mostly around my boyfriend, when I leave she cries, and when I get home, she's always by my side. I wouldn't give her up for anything. (:

Well bred GSD's dont bark or show meaningless aggression like that. And neither are they that scrawny. Look at his face, its pinched. God knows whats mixed in his blood line. Its not a GSD, its a trailer trash GSD.
@TheAmericanDesi They are on vacation so some of the junk in their car should be excused. The dog is old, so his scrawnyness should also be excused. The woman looks just fine, she's clothed properly and she just came back from being outdoors, so of course her hair might have gotten blown around. His legs hurt when she did that, which is why he showed that aggression. Well bred GSD can show "meaningless aggression" if they aren't well RAISED. They love their dog, which is most important...
the shepherd probally is very protective of the lady and for one doesnt like the camera and too probally doesnt care for the man. but she also might be hurting due to her legs... either way a dog should learn its place and shouldnt be like that to any one! im only 18 and have sucessfully trained and raised 13 beautiful dogs, mutts and pure breeds, all by my self and only one has that issue, which is being delt with.
Oh yeah... I predict That dog will rip your throat out in a defensive action... As to because you are right in front of his mouth and he probably doesn't want the camera there dumbass!
i think he sees his reflection on the camera lens, and thinks its another dog. my dog does that when he sits in the front seat and looks out the window and sees his reflection in the side mirror. XD
Alright check this out. Here's a breakdown of this psychologically.
The dog knows that it's not as strong as it used to be, and out in the while, that means certain death. He's just growling and barking to show dominance as a "preemptive" measure to being picked off by their own tribe in a brutal act of cannibalism.
.......or he's just a vocal dog who likes to hoot n hollar.
Lizy that is very very true my parents had one when I was only a baby and she wouldn't let anything that could even possibly hurt me anywhere near me :)
He's an older dog, note the "his legs don't work like they used to" in the description box. He did seem to begin to struggle when he got to the truck. When she lifted him... it probably hurt. She grabbed him by his back legs, which already hurt and used them to push him into the truck. His growl and snarl began when she lifted him. German shepherds often have leg/hip problems as they get older, his hips have probably been crippled due to arthritis. Also he's graying so yeah.
@mjfromga89 I may or maynot of hurt, we had a dog that was the same way, not of old age but since see was so big it was hard for her to get into the car....so she would get her front legs in, then wag her tail and look back at me like "come on, help me!!!" and as soon as I did, she would start growling!! But she wanted to be in the car, and she always waited from me to help her up....I never understood tha, but I think she was just playing around or something...I know it never hurt her....
@mjfromga89 MY dog is 8 months and sometimes my dog doesnt want to jump so she would do what that dog did, so i can lift her, thats because she's acting lazy for this dog its probably just a bad habit
@mjfromga89 cant believe this comment has 26 likes, wot a fucking retarded thing to say, he looks at the guy and walks up snarling and being aggressive, he is just badly behaved due to lack of discipline, not because his legs hurt, i fucking h8 how people make lame excuses for a dogs behaviour and this daft bitch relishes in the fact her dog is aggressive because its protecting her awwww
@TheAArmstrong You're excused. I don't try and make excuses for dogs behavior. On videos of chihuahuas behaving badly, I always call out the owners for being bad owners. I really do think that this dog is acting that was for that reason. I have a good dog and he'd never do this.....
@TheAArmstrong It's not even that he's badly behaved. He's probably been positively reinforced when showing this behaviour by being rewarded with sweet talk and laughter.
@Bilytkid he most likely is older, considering he's a german shepherd, and his hips have probably went bad already. it's common in them, so it's nothing unusual, although many people just choose to put them down instead of having them suffer until they die of natural causes :P
wow haha u can tell when a dog is play barking and when a dog is ready to attack barking. play barking doesnt include it snapping its neck at you nor has a erective tail playful barks usaully are followed by waggy tails
@MuzicMum no kiddin, my shep would playfully gnaw, not a bite, just a little pinch then jump back, ive seen him bite, not something you want to happen, we trained him to be protective, and he is definantly protective
just like mine- there are some things that just sets them off- meanwhile as owners we know they wouldnt harm us- just naturally protective. best dog i ever owned they are selfless.
what got that dogs goat? You can't let your dog pull those stunts on you without putting it in its place. It'll start thinking its top dog and you're second class. Always have to maintain dominance.
Not safe to be the person operating the camera and another thing if that dog was like that to me he/she would be muzzled by the owner no questions asked.
It's funny how my 27month old male German Sheperd doesn't bark at all excpect if anyone tries to go to him while he is attached to a rope outside the house.
He looks like a "Great White". Heathy looking teeth. I agree njfromqa85. I would never let my dog carry on like that, unless it was for real. He looks like he has his insecureities..
@boscogump That's because you do not understand dogs. These are NOT signs of aggression. The aggressive dog would have bitten him around the throat without any warning. This is a defensive stance. He is letting you know who's boss and who he is protecting. Learn what canine body language means before you assume anything. I'll take any bet if you pull out a piece of steak this guy is a big ball of putty.

@MuzicMum no kiddin, my shep would playfully gnaw, not a bite, just a little pinch then jump back, ive seen him bite, not something you want to happen, we trained him to be protective, and he is definantly protective
snowyphil65 5 months ago
What are u doing to him to make him growl like that?
bluestingerborg 5 months ago
just like mine- there are some things that just sets them off- meanwhile as owners we know they wouldnt harm us- just naturally protective. best dog i ever owned they are selfless.
efthimios 5 months ago
You should not allow him to bark and growl at family members like that.

what got that dogs goat? You can't let your dog pull those stunts on you without putting it in its place. It'll start thinking its top dog and you're second class. Always have to maintain dominance.
alderaforall 5 months ago
@alderaforall Exactly the back seat of a car is just like a den to a dog, and this GSD seems to be defending it.

so THATS what the inside of a dog's mouth looks like...

Not safe to be the person operating the camera and another thing if that dog was like that to me he/she would be muzzled by the owner no questions asked.

If my Shadow ever barked or growled at me like that, I'd spray apple-bitter in her mouth and put her in the kennel for a timeout.

@boscogump i would that dog looks sexy
360PATCH 3 months ago
@boscogump That's because you do not understand dogs. These are NOT signs of aggression. The aggressive dog would have bitten him around the throat without any warning. This is a defensive stance. He is letting you know who's boss and who he is protecting. Learn what canine body language means before you assume anything. I'll take any bet if you pull out a piece of steak this guy is a big ball of putty.
