Are those Jools Holland's hands on keyboards as the lack of camera movement around the band made it impossible to be sure. Talk about minimal camera work.
One of the best 'intros' of its time! And the BREAK in the middle is great too. something Donna Summer's producer Giorgio Moroder wouldn't have minded claiming for himself!!
This is a PERFECT POP LOVE MARCH wit super guitar solo and synth backing, and crisp A1 drumming!

Altough I agree with you, you really can't exspect much since their is really nothing new you can do with this world since just about everything has already been done.
Takes me right back to the 'Checkmate Club' in Caerphilly. Wonderful memories, the teenagers today are not lucky, the music is generally poor and not memorable.
I don't say this just because I am getting old, I like classical, folk and lots of early 20th century popular music, its just the music of the last 20 years has mostly lacked originality or style. Boring...
@canopus101 I'm getting on a bit too - but I must disagree with your assessment of the last 20 yrs. Music is still just as vital and just as great as it was in our youth. Dig past the radio, internet and mass trends and you will find just as much originality and talent as you remember from days of yore. This applies to all genres. Peace!
I do agree with you, I always liked 'underground' music best, bands like Jethro Tull did not make much of a splash in the singles charts but were superb. The point I was making was that the mainstream stuff, today, is not good. In my youthful days chart music often had some great sounds, such as 'Take me I'm yours.'
I go and see local bands at the pub and have a good time but it is noticeable that most of them cover old music. rather than do something new.
Iwas one of those bands going up anddown pubs for years, the reason their own songs are not played is becaus ethe pubs and venues don't like it or encourage it. To say it is annoying and frustrating would be a serious understatement.
Tilbrook and Difford without doubt the best song writers ever.

Thought this was the Glitter Band when I first heard this song on the Radio. Not necessarily an insult.

Criminal to cut the guitar solo at 1:40. It's the best part of the song.

@aussiness74 Yes, you are right, originality is not encouraged these days. Times have changed but without progress.
