  • man i would never take a folder out in the wilderness

  • Your an asshole for calling hunters stupid. Call yourself stupid for walking in the woods during hunting season without blaze orange. That is common sense. NOT STUPID HUNTERS.

  • I always pack my tv and ps3, with 25 games, on a day hike, I mean just in case u never know. I dont want to over do it and bring all 50, cause, come on guys im only 15mins away.

  • Maybe if you "IDIOT HIKERS" didnt wear so much brown and earth tones, you wouldnt be shot by those "IDIOT HUNTERS".

  • @nledouche69 Only stupid hunters shoot at targets that they haven't properly identified.

  • dam thats a lot i take my knife a swiss army knife and a fire steel and a water bottle and a camle pack

  • how did the dajo survivor knife hold up ?

  • All this for one day?

  • All this for one day? Insane.

  • now....keep in mind....lol

  • you have a lot of options.

  • way too much crap

  • Do you keep your shit trowel with your food prep stuff?

  • Great Video...Congratulation from Brasil!!!!

  • are you going on a hike or living in the woods it looks like your going to restrat civilzation

  • how much does your pack weigh with all your gear +water and food?

  • thats alot of gear for just 15 minutes away

  • If u got a good knife, u onlu need that one knife..

  • I would probablly only bring 3 or 4 of those items..cool video though. the orage vests are a good idea. i prefer a orange sweatshirt so it serves more than 1 purpose, and a metal container to boild water, a knife..no sharpening stone..maybe some 550 cord.. but thats all i would bring for a day hike. cool vid though

  • Umm, are you going on a day hike or invading Poland?

  • @aussersein Poland

  • @QuietBearr Bring it on Bear. We're ready for you. Be sure to wear those hi vis vests.. you'll be easier to shoot.. ;)

  • @aussersein Hahaha 10 months later.

  • My first time watching your videos. Well I watched your med kit one too. I really like them. Like you saying to be over prepared since you never know, even in a day hike, if you will get lost or whatever. Very good tips thank you.

  • As always, you are prepared. Good video as usual!

  • JESUS I HIKE, AND ALL I NEED IS A FIXED BLADE AND LEATHERMAN OF COURSE

  • For 1 day hike you realy dont need a sharpening stone...

  • @Luccian22 I think that depends on how much you use your knife and what the objectives of the hike are dont you? Would you rather have it and not need it or need it and not have it?

  • Comment removed

  • @Luccian22 Yeah, but its good to have one to insure that your knife will stay sharp even if you get lost and stay multiple days

  • @Luccian22 That's the whole point of being prepared man, what if he gets caught in a storm and then gets lost and has to survive, having a sharp knife can be the difference between life and death. Better to have it than to need it and not have it, think ahead man...

  • this my favorite vid u did awesome 5 stars!

  • What's the song?

  • Look back in the comments, I have answered that several times, its a free beat.

  • Found it and downloaded it. I love the drums. I also love that it's free.

    thanks.

  • Yea man, its free commercially as well, meaning its free in all uses, even if you make money or whatever. You man want to look at other stuff on the site, or check for other beats site, there is like 100 free beats sites on the net.

  • Ah, cool.

  • where did u find it? i wanna dl it 2

  • Again, look back at the comments, it is already answered.

  • If I'm going somewhere familiar for a ~4 hour hike I take a water bottle, snacks, an extra layer of clothing and rain gear if there's a chance of needing it. If the worst should happen, my emergency kit is my cell phone. 5 different ways to make a fire is a bit overkill for a day hike IMO, especially when the list doesn't include a lighter.

  • 5 different ways? Its just my firekit that I take everywhere on any hike, because I like to practice primitive ways.

I think you missed the part where I said I was knife testing and having a cookout up there.....

    Did you watch the video?

  • do you think hunting is bad

  • No.

  • great voide bearr, its cool to see what you take on a Hike.

    Mike

  • thanks man

  • you need a proper flashlight, check out Fenix or Quark, you can't go wrong

  • I need a lot of things, need some proper money first, lemme know if you wana send me some and I will hapily replace the maglight

  • Can't wait to see how that Schrade SCHF1 knife holds up in your day trip.

  • Dont have to wait to long, I will be testing it tomorrow morn, should have the vid uploaded by the day after or so (editing)

  • wow that intro beat is sick. what is it?

  • just a free beat

  • did u make it or is there somewhere i can find it and listen to it?

  • Probangers, I forget what the track title is. I think its Keep On Keepin On.

  • I sometimes trim and refine my packs. It's so easy to over pack. I find myself carrying x-tra into the bush just in case I want to test something out. I usually head out with a few ideas that often change when I get out there. You never know what's going to come up. Always something.

  • I do as well, but the things I am going to test out (knives) are not optional, they are the entire purpose for this trip.

The food stuff is because my sister and her husband are coming and we are cooking out some steaks up there.

Not really much else to take out.

  • Awesome Pack, Great video to,

    5/5

  • thanks man, I try to make the video as good as the information.

    Entertain and informtain!

  • Nice overview, have fun on your hike

  • thanks man, I will, you guys will see some of it in the video

  • Excellent video my man. I'm loving the intros.

    Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks man

  • You can hike or trekk with me anytime dude. Looks like you thought of everything. I like the little swedish mess kit, as it is just a bit smaller. I'm like you with my knives though. Leaving one at home is like leaving behind one of the family. lol. If I use two knives, I will pull out the third one and cut some rope, JUST so it isn't missing out. lol. Enjoy your hike bro. Love and War, watch your 6, vote, and stay frosty.

  • Knives and medical, the two things I overpack, everything else, I just about underpack lol.

Normally I dont even carry a mess kit, just that little cup, but this hike is special! is special.

  • I wonder if that stove is still made? Haven't seen it around here.

  • That little fold out one? It is, I have seen it, Duane Myers a while ago on his old account got one new, I think Colemans makes some... I have seen them around, you use them with the fuel tablets, they are not the best ones, pretty much you can make them yourself, all they are is a baseplate to put the fuel tab on, and two sides that fold up vertical to support a cup.

    Thats it. lol

  • Just searched, found a ton of them, search "esbit stove" and they are like $10.... Guess I should have searched before I comented just now lol, would have saved me the time of explaining it! LOL :P

  • i always love your music choices... do you make them? or just find them?

  • Find them, some are royalty free and some are obviously not. I am trying to watch the non royalty free stuff now as I heard that Youtube is going to implement this new thing soon that will basically delete any videos with copyrighted material in them....

But this was a free one that is royalty free as well. Dont know where I got it, google something like "free beats" or "royalty free music" or something.

  • that looks like alot of stuff for a day hike...

  • Did you miss the part where I said it was for three people?

  • i went off the title and was like hmm thats alot of gear to take for 1 person :p

  • Yea I say several times that it is for myself, my sister and her husband, and I say it in the description...

    ;)

  • A whole heck of a lot more that I would take for three people on a day hike. Add sleeping and you are set for 72 hrs. However, divided between the three, not a whole lot, and better safe than sorry.

  • What would you remove?

  • Seems to be a lot of cooking items could go, toss in some powerbars perhaps. Is the shelter really needed?

I am a minimalist on Day hikes...but like I said better to be prepared.

  • I am as well, normally I dont build a shelter of course, but because I am doing knife testing one of the best ways I have figured out to test a knife is to build a shelter and a fire. Pretty much uses all aspects of a knife.

The cooking things is because we are having a cookout once we get up there, we are taking some elk steaks and some potatoes and stuff to have a cookout...

Powerbars dont cut it when you want a meal out in nature of elk.

  • Well, hell...You didn't mention the cookout! And mea culpa on the shelter. I forgot you were going up to test the knives, Will you be filming in the field?

  • I will, the camera and tripod will be coming as well, plus a digital camera to take stills. So that is more weight although not much, taking the tiny aluminium tripod and my camera weighs like nothing, the digital as well.
