Ok a lot of people are asking why I did this video. When the rapid strap first came out it was shit! The quick release on the clasp was coming off and I did not know it until my brand new 5d rolled down the stairs while shooting an assignment. The product now is much better designed now and I would support them but there customer service was horrible. I lost a 2500 dollar camera because of there product and they just said (in so many words) to bad.
@jkdphoto Come on you just didn't loose $2500 because it came off the strap. You could send it to canon and get it fix or did canon charge you another $2500 for fixing.
This style of camera strap is great. I got the UK version, the Pap Strap. Better value for money and does the same job. I haven't taken it off my camera yet. Bought mine online from the website papstrap couk If you are in the US then I guess it's the rapid strap, but if you are in the UK definately the Pap Strap gets the thumbs up.
I still do not understand. I can see you made some changes that look like a really good idea. Any chance of a video showing a closeup of what you have done?

Can you show or explain how you modified the clip? I'm looking to do the same thing. Or just linking to the forum post would be great.

Charlie, It was a demo for a forum I belong to. I had to change the clip on the strap so it would not release

Plus when you use the clip it comes with it loses the vertical grip. I connected it to a key ring and I got both views
