I’ve problem turning the sail when it's time, it is heavy &wont turn by itself/by the wind! Can some body tell me what wrong I do? I’ve my hands on right place!
instructors will always pick flattering conditions. Those who can't jibe well usually have the wrong sequence of motions, re-learning a solid foundation is essential. There are literally a few hidden details that make or break a jibe. Don't think about it when it's happening, visualize each step before you get on the board and then try it in one motion, with feedback from the board and an idea of the mechanics of the turn. Start planing through your jibes and make windsurfing look good!
oK very well, but then we go to an over chopped sea like we sail in 99% of spots, or/and with strong over powered wind, and then we think... "whats that of the clip?"
why they always theach in a unbeliveble super glassy chop condition??
@fmesquita78 its the same technique in any condition. The trick to a big sea is planning where you are going to turn and glide over the chop by flexing your knees as you would while blasting around.
the most important thing to take away from the video is to do the foot change first and sail flip second. the boomshaka is important because the sail's rotational point is the mast, not the harness line area. carve through the downwind point of sail and power back up on the new reach. the sail's power is weakest when going straight down wind!
Este video es solo un trailer de 6 minutos. El DVD original contiene más de 1 hora de didáctica desmenuzando los pasos para hacer una buena trasluchada.
Listen to the important things and look good how he walks over his board and the boom chaka!! it realy helps! i looked this sample a few times and i practise on the water and now i can jibe perfect!!

that's a fantastic dvd, thank you Cribby! But HATE you for making such flawless jibes... :)
for me the "twist" and "boomshaka" were top tips, really made a difference.
