Awesome Troubleclef! I love the melody in the middle register. And the intro. I have a version but I like yours better :-) And I like B min. Awesome!
Maestro, you are a continuous source of amazement and versatility, sweeping from classic rock to bossa and now to my fav Italian crooner through this superb Joao Gilberto's version... Chapeau, maestro, sei il migliore :-)
I have hit replay 9 times in a row and I'm still loving it. Such a beautiful song. I like this version without vocals better than the original. You, Monsueir Clef, are a music master!!! Do you listen to or play any Gypsy jazz ala Django?
thanks. I took some Django lessons a while back but I'm not much at soloing, picking or comping. I do have a version of the one Django fingerstyle thing I know of (Tears) and you'll find it in my channel. thanks for watching.
I play Calos Jobim style guitar. You have a nice touch. You video would really enhance your music if you used a chromakey effect just as a green screen to block out the background and then superimpose your image over a nice beach background.
So...how does he play the melody and the accompaniment at the same time? I play Bass and Piano and I can't figure it out.. Second guitar? Pre-recorded Melody? No matter... almost as beautiful as Joao's... I specially love the harmonics.
no overdubs. it's all live. i just try to jam it all into one guitar. certainly could be done better, too. Also, there's always ways to trick the listener into thinking they hear more than they actually do.
João é magico na execução. Foi (é) incansável na procura do acorde mais delicado/perfeito/desconcertante/emocional/sonóro para harmonizar uma canção. H.Silva
hmmmm, i don't think so. :) Have you? i'll give it a try sometime when it's not so blistering cold out as it is right now. But no Pina Colada...Caipirinha! hehe
maravilhoso.... one of my favorite tunes from joao. If music was a religion...Pat Metheny is the truth..the life and the only way to heaven. Where Joao is God.
Thank you so much for this. I was introduced to this song through the music of the late Shirley Horn. This has always been one of my favorites. Thanks again.
Oh well, very very nice****** you even play the Ogerman intro, how did you get the notes?
please listen to my "ce est septembre*

but during "Estate"
In front of the ocean maybe? or under a tree?
drinking Piña Colada?
