  • this video made my cat sit on my lap and start biting me

i was playing before and she kept coming up and bumping me

  • i thought mine were the only ones too! i have two girls though, i donno, cats are crazy.

  • this is hilarious!!!! i did this not even ten minutes ago and got the same results from my cats.

  • lol my sister tried to play the harmonica close to our cat's ear and he turned around and attacked the harmonica. when she was practicing he'd jump and try to bite the harmonica. we had a blast playing the harmonica hidden behind a wall. he'd come running into the room at which time we'd make a lot of noise and he'd go crazy running around not knowing what to do. my mom would yell at us for jangling his nerves. rofl.

  • Terrific! A thought though, aren't tortoiseshell cats *supposed* to be deaf? Or is that white cats..? Thanks for a lol anyway.

  • No - Tortoishell cats aren't deaf. It is white cats but only white cats with blue eyes which are invariably deaf --or if only one eye is blue, the cat will invariably be deaf only on the same side as the blue eye. Tortoishell cats are perfectly fine, but mostly female.

  • thanks

  • Make tortoishell cats are infertile though

  • Male*

  • Maybe the high pitched note is irritating them, have you tried to play an actual song or just that high note?????

    Well?????????

  • They go nuts when I play songs, too

  • hahaha - prove it ;)

lol...play a real tune and not just those high notes. try the one or two draw and do they react the same way? ;)

  • you're not getting it...what it's doing is triggering their 'mating' impulse. :) Ergo..harmonica makes male cats horny.

    What?!!!

All kidding aside, if you notice, each time the cats' ears twitched first...then they took it out on the nearest 'object'..their companion. They aren't necessarily fighting..just feeling the need to express whatever emotion the sound is causing in them. Watch again. MY cats don't react this way. They love my harmonica playing. Try an actual song next time. :)

  • My cat humped my boyfriends arm when he played! It totally thinks its a mating call!

  • My cats (and I currently have 7) - don't mind my harmonica playing at all - but when I sing - one of my cats used to get on the counter and bite the ends of my hair while meowing loudly - I never knew if she was critiquing or not...she'd purr at the same time. ;)

  • .

that the best lol i have had all day! thanks

    .

  • My cat never seems to mind it when I play. He just lays around.

  • This is the funniest thing ever!

  • What's the cat sitting on? It looks like a space invaders table or something.

  • Close, it's an Arkanoid cabinet.

  • That noise would make me cranky too. Looks like they're friendly fighting though...I think.

  • You have really beautiful cats. They're both very healthy looking. Not too fat, not too skinny.

  • Shoot! That's even hurting my ears.

  • Dude do you have any idea how painfull that sound is to those poor cats? shame on you

  • LMFAO That's great. I'm going to buy a harmonica tomorrow to see what my cats do. Too funny!

  • I just started playing harmonica and noticed my cat (female) didn't like it. she even tries to bite me.

why is that? ma I playing so bad?!

  • I was wondering if mine were the only ones. My male cat HATES the harmonica! Are both of your cats male? Because only my male seems affected by it. He automatically walks over to the female and bites her on the neck.

  • Yea, they're both male.

  • O_o

    XD

  • wow. o_o that is so creepy lol.
