  • Hi, Mr. Night Flyyer or Dave, how are you? My name is HERBIE. Is it possible to make a whole CONTROL set including remote control that same as your video for my Air Swimmer and USPS to Hong Kong (postal code 852)? I will responsible for the production cost and postal charges, please say YES to my email address "hn22ahe@yahoo.com.hk", thanks for your attention.

  • you remeber that when you press the buttons down the fish goes up and if you press up the fish goes down? well i put the pod track the other way around which resulted in button up going up and button down going down

  • hey nightflyer di you ever have the problem of the fins or pod fall off your swimmer after several fils?

    how can i fix this?

  • it sounds familiar

  • whats the background music?

  • very nice mod, looks like it really has an effect on its balance, did you ever think of using a gyro to maintain balance? have it work like a segway and just allow you to do slight corrections up and down?

  • DUDE YOU SHOULD TOTALLY CONVERT THAT THING TO BRUSHLESS!!!

  • ...hehehe you put the nozle up his butt...hehehe

  • Your voice is awesome.

  • how are they outside on a windy day? lol

  • Can you tell me how to fix a rip in my "Air Swimmer"

  • how much extra did it cost you to do that?

  • hahaha i want one!

  • can you refill these ones after the helium has gone away plz answer me.

  • Hi. I LOVE what you've done. Just what I was looking for.

Are you using a ESC or are you poweing direxctly to the Orange Receiver?

    Thanks!

  • So please NightFlyyer!! Pimp my fish!!!!!!!

  • Nice job on this ..I enjoyed viewing..Tim

  • thats really cool!!! how much did it cost! cya!

  • You just made my day. thanks for another great video Dave. (No need to reply hi)

  • How long does the helium last when you fill it up to deflate?

  • I will now try to convert mine to a futaba.. Hope i succeed!! Now to think of a way to actually fix just my receiver and battery. I will try not to mess with the motor.. Haha

  • Dave, you're awesome!!!! Have you messed with the rc kites yet?

  • good work.

way to make a cool product even more cooler!

  • That is the most awesome thing I've seen in a long time. I've always wanted to add biplane wings to an RC blimp, just to see what would happen :P

  • I'm looking at your video is inspired. However, the failure was my first convert. I disassembled the servo servo neutral and find one adhesive has been fixed. The continuous rotation servo was possible. Remove the servo and the servo was originally the Mount has been removed. Mount the servo in place, and had prepared a new servo motor is stuck some. The operation of a newly connected servo motors have been successful. Your video showed me the possibilities, thank you.

  • awww

    itss so cute

  • well well i never mmmmmm COOL

  • It must be fun to control these!! I also make RC videos but I´m a beginner I´m learning to do foward flight now. If you want, you could take a look at my videos it would be awsome!

  • If you haven't already, then couldn't you set you dive/climb control on the throttle stick so that you it would stay wherever you set it? Anyway, great improvement and video!

  • ive heard that when it starts to deflate just add some of ur breath and it increases the life of the helium inside it u should try it

  • BTW I heard that we are running out of helium, any thoughts on what will happen then? Should I start stock piling helium to sell at a later time?

  • Thats really cool! Unfortunately it wont fly here in Colorado Springs :(

  • Hahaha! I KNEW you would do this! LOL! Nice job!

  • Why not use the battery as the weight for the CG balance rod? You would save weight by getting rid of the dead weight of the lead shot.

  • @n8smith777 Good idea. Thanks.

  • @NightFlyyer your awesome

  • help!!!!!! air swimer dose not work shark dose not respond help!!!!!!!!

  • Nice work Dave..Great mods...Call it Flying Nemo...LoL.

  • try cutting the valve of and replace it with one of those ones one beach balls and air mattress' and glue it on with epoxy and tape

just a theory i don't have one so see if anyone else has done it and if you are the first could you recommend my channel

  • Like to see a re engineering of the so called valve.

  • What a trip! Another genius project, Herb.....congratulations. I love all your stuff....even the lawn mower snow plow. NEVER grow up, my friend......I refuse, also!

  • I thought these RC fishes were brilliant, but this modification is ingenious. I have the RF version of this fish, and it is a significant improvement to the IR ones.

I have DX5 system, but I have not used it for over a year now, so I would like to build the contraption of Mr. Herbert.

Thank you sir for the nice idea. Simple as that...

BTW, love the cat scene. (Just like the sales video)

  • @vibosoft Thanks so very kindly for your comments. I appreciate your long time loyalty.

  • You are my model when it comes to making these awesome videos of yours. Great work!

  • I thought for sure you were going to put 2 EDFs on the sides of it! :) (fastest fish ever!) great vid Dave!

  • Ailerons please!

  • I'll bet if Trudy see's this, she'll be rigging her fish up with a ducted fan unit!...lol

  • Good job of the refit. Now does your wife say when dinner is ready get that fish out of the house :-). Now you can have a rematch with Trudy. Did she beat you at the last fish race.

  • @photobart1 Thanks very much for your comments. Yep, she beat me....3 times. LOL. We are going to have a big rematch with lots of fishys next time, so stay tuned and thanks again.

  • Dave, I think you have come up with great idea to get Ellen swimming way ahead of the rest of them. I can see where the filler tube needs to be improved next. Leave it up to you, you will solve the issue. Maybe a better designed filler valve. Tom

  • i suprised you used spectrum! i would of just put a crystal in it... but great job!

  • @allen2688 Hi thanks. All of my crystal receivers were heavier. And the difference of flying or sinking is only 15 grams, so I cut weight as much as possible. Besides, some other fliers use RF radios indoors and I didnt want interference. I am also spoiled with short TX antennas, so went with $8 Orange Receiver to try it.

  • That goes with "If you think something is stupid but it works, it ain't stupid" So how do we replace that valve? How about adding one from a beach ball or kiddie pool?

  • All right, now you will have to rig up a filler valve fix!

    Go Dave!!!

  • go fast, turn left.

  • Haha! That's awesome! XD

  • That ceiling fan looked very ominous! Dave you are brilliant !...thanks for the video

  • Awesome mod Dave! I purchased the shark to let my grandkids fly when they come for Thanksgiving. Can't wait to watch them fly it! Maybe after they all go home I'll try your mod as well. Looks like a big improvement. cheers, jb

  • @bakerrv Great. They will love it. Thanks for the comments.

  • well that clever!! great video mr herbert, you keep on flying that fish! lol

  • Nice job, I sell these guys at work (in stock trim lol)

  • @Ispintechno1 Great. Talk to me...Do they sell spare parts yet? .......like the balloon?

  • @NightFlyyer Not yet. There are only active sku numbers for the whole kit, either the shark or the clown fish complete. To be honest though from store demos the IR radio equipment only last about as long as the balloon, at least in a retail environment where we let everyone abuse it. I'll email the buyers and see if in the future spare parts could be bought (Balloon, tail assembly, IR transmitter, ballast & RX, etc.) I think that is a fantastic idea Dave.

  • Lol!! Dave did getting beat by a girl make you soup up your fishy????

  • @BESTBBQDUDE HA HA. No way. I simply was not getting the control I am used to with a transmitter and sticks. She is used to push button game controllers, and I am not. I feel way more comfortable with those sticks in my hand, you know. Thanks for the comment.

  • @NightFlyyer lol, Ok Dave you stick to that story Ha ha ....

Yes I do know about the junk controls that come with many toys, as a matter of fact many of these toys could be considerd hobby grade rather than toys with better controls.

    Hello manufactuers are you listening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice Video. Are there any replacement ballons for the Air Swimmer?

Maby you could try to modify the valve to get it more tight if there arent replacement ballons.

    greetings from germany

  • @TheMoritzHoffmann I wish I could figure out a better valve for sure. These things have no real valve. Just the two pieces of Mylar self stick together when you let go. Works for a while, but not more than 5 refills and mine is leaking. I will fill it for the race and put tape over it to see if that works next time. THanks for the comments.

  • i think the girl with the other shark is going to lose now, haha

remember that rq-1 reaper you got back in 2010, well i just got one and im building it!!! your vids kinda help!!!

  • @flyingchimp99 Thanks. My reaper folded the wings in a tight turn...That aluminum rod should be carbon fibre if they hadn't changed it. So good luck, but watch those high speed turn outs.

  • @NightFlyyer ill keep that in mind next time i visit my hobby store.....thanks!!!

  • nice idea for balancing, great range and lots of lipo power to win the next race :-)

  • @beverke7 Thanks kindly. It will be fun.

  • makes me want to make my own but I don't have any big balloons or helium.

  • wow, now you can swim up to 1/4 mile away with 2.4 ghz

  • Great video. Do they sell replacement balloons for the AIr Swimmer?

  • @flamingosunlimited Thanks. I dunno. I think I am going to need one too.

  • Now when your racing you'll have to run in the modified class lol, good job being creative and outside the box

  • That is just too cool! Cant get over how much I enjoy seeing that thing "swim through air!"

    Thumbs UP~~John

  • @WORRO01 Thanks John. Yep it nice, quiet and relaxing for sure.

  • Cool now you will surely win the next fish race :D

  • I was wondering how long it would take you to improve it!! :) Well done Sir!

  • @erikdravn Thanks very kindly.

  • love to see the next race

  • @8alakai8 Thanks. Stay tuned.
