i frikin mad... i had crysis on my windows XP, then it crashed so i loaded windows 7 adn installed Crysis... then as i was activating it i forgot... i had to use that stupid serial code to activate it and since i installed it once already.. i can NEVER play it again... so now if i want to play it EVER again, i have to go out and spend ATLEAST $30, which as of right now i cant not afford.... UGH!!!!!!! i hate the way they set this game up!!!
@F1sTDaCuFFs I have to disagree with you about the graphics.. MW2 graphics are solid as a rock! No texture pop ins, realistic colors and terrific textures. Plus MW2 came out in 2009. Crysis 2 looks awesome yes, BUT the colors are a little more cartoony and there is a ton of texture pop ins not to mention there are dips in frame rate.. to be fair. MW2 has no dip in frame rate whatsoever. While both engines are fantastic I will give a slight edge to MW2. Just my preference. Happy gaming!
cool vid, but you've benn miss informed a bit...... this is the cryengine 3, not the cryengine 2, which was the originals crysis engine, as far as techincal prowess goes, the cryengine 2 is better than that of the 3, which was designed for consoles, also, and this might be from the date of the video, not your fault, the recently updated frostbite 2 engine looks very good and has a much better physics engine than that of cryengine 3, not sure about the 2nd one though.
This game is amazing but I don't find myself playing for hours. Personally I thought this would replace my black ops addiction (god bless that horrible game) but sadly no due to the game being something new with cloak and armor. Plus the connection is just horrible still, I also find myself having a hard time joining rooms which gives me the impression that the community is low =(
@xenonzx - damn i havent played this since just after launch but was hoping that the p2p lag issues were fixed. its a shame that the inconsistent black ops p2p netcode puts it to shame. was still fun but completely unacceptable that it wasnt fixed promptly or even by now. great way to ruin a franchise and a company name
@TheFreshPeddler yea, No the connection is still pretty bad. The only time I find myself with a great connection is if I run host. Black ops, being another connection based game as everyone by now knows, is better connection based atleast for me. I can get full bars on black ops host or not =/
Crysis needs to improve -.- with the recent update they just proved that their community is low. they got rid of all the sub-modes (classic, Fast rounds) in an attempt to have more players in one area.
@xenonzx - yeah the host/full bar connection even seemed to be fairly inconsistent, for me at least. i mean i was getting host a lot but i didnt usually feel like it helped as much as i saw it help others kill me sometimes. i really think it just need some local matchmaking, but i guess with few people playing it thats not likely. black ops had a better/ more consistent connection most of the time but when its bad it seems to go through periods of a few days or more that r fucked.
@xenonzx - last time i played bo for about a week and after getting my nat type to open it ran pretty well then turned to shit for almost every game that i played one day. it got pretty bad on ps3 a few months after launch as well. dont know how it can seem to vary like that besides the obvious game to game p2p issues. thats a shame with c2 as i liked fast rounds, though nobody played classic so thats fine but i dont know how much that one will help pool people together.
@epic1assassin killzone 3 community is still going strong, people are not playing this as much as they were, different gameplay though. However because killzone 3 is optimized for PS3 it looks better than this on ps3 and has a better frame rate.
@Fredrix95PSN crysis 2 brink is well altogether campaign and multiplayer are all combined and it gets confusing cause you dont know if your playing online or off (sorry is my spelling is wierd in tired)

@OmnipotPrime They were thinking that there's a larger market within the console community. Last I checked, there were over 100 million Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles sold world wide. Now I'm aware that there are way more PC owners, but only a small percentage of PC owners are gamers. 100% of Xbox 360 and PS3 owners are gamers. As a game developer, I'd want to create something every gamer can have access to. Not sure if that makes any sense. Still haven't had my morning coffee.

This game is full of bugs and glitches and was delayed 8 months...and it's absolutely not the best looking game on the console, best lighting engine sure up close everything pixelates, even faces in campaign look terrible compared to mw2 or even black ops which i hated. it needs a massive title update to fix the numerous bugs and then it will be a good game....btw why are you reviewing a demo....

I hate crysis multiplayer, I cannot bring myself to play it anymore. It is completely unbalanced by the fact that I have unloaded a full magazine from the SCAR into a guy who isn't moving and had him turn around and kill me in three shots from the same gun. Maybe its better on PC but so goddamn bad and frustrating on console. Single player is pretty good though
@Sniperz14x i can give u a couple of tips if u don't mind! : ) try kepping ur energy bar kinda full, and mix ur abilities, i mean like try crossing high traffic areas with cloak, and keep in mind that the armor ability is a huge advantage so every time u see a guy use it. thats gonna make less frustrated trust me! ooohh btw never shoot when cloak cause it will fully drain ur energy, shoot with armor always....... sorry for my bad english lol

Stop, stop, stop! Everybody quit saying this game is bad on consoles! This game is amazing no matter what platform you own it on! PC owners are just jealous because console owners don't have to buy a $2,000 gaming rig. I know the game had PC roots, but Crytek did the right thing by spreading the love to all platforms.

Great clip. I would disagree that Crysis 1 was the best engine for the PC as that category is rated on a few elements.
Crysis 1 was the best looking engine on the PC but no other studios used it due to its high system requirements 'bottleneck'. Epics Unreal Engine wasnt as good looking, but due to its scalability it won the engine race in that era (based on developers using it).
I don't get what you mean about the minimap. How do you draw a correlation between being right handed and the way your eyes look at a screen. Surely it's just as easy to look at the lower left as it is to look at the upper right, they're both the same distance from the centre of the screen. Crytek left it in the lower left cause that's where it was in Crysis 1. Also, Crytek aren't really money whores like Treyarch/Infinity Ward/Activision. There's only going to be one more Crysis after this one.

Half life 2 engine or Quake engine is the best for first person shooters on pc Crysis 1 was loved for its graphics and single player and not its shitty multiplayer that fucking sucked ass compared to Counter Strike or Quake or Unreal Tournament.

another thing that scares me about it is no big publisher reviews. usually a big title like this has a review scale a week or so prior to release. to hype the product. and usually when there is no reviews early that means the devs have told reviewers to wait until release..usually because the reviews are sub par. i hope im wong and i only had a poor demo multiplayer experience but i doubt it

totally agree with u im halfway through the campaign right now and havent tryed multiplayer yet but its a really good game, graphics r amaising. i hope people buy this game and i hope it explodes into the most dominate fps ever. {getting bored with blackops}

This game is full of bugs and glitches and was delayed 8 months...and it's absolutely not the best looking game on the console, best lighting engine sure up close everything pixelates, even faces in campaign look terrible compared to mw2 or even black ops which i hated. it needs a massive title update to fix the numerous bugs and then it will be a good game....btw why are you reviewing a demo....

@IRONMAN255550 ya seriously i finished the campaign and it was alright i mean the graphics were orgasmic at some parts like the light house scene... but the ending was so corny and i did not like the ending at all because all it basically said in the ending was... "we dont wanna finish it because we can make so much more money so Crysis 3 here we come" and WTF no sandbox i know its such bull thats why i loved Cyrsis 1... but NOOOOOO they had to fuck it up....

I hate crysis multiplayer, I cannot bring myself to play it anymore. It is completely unbalanced by the fact that I have unloaded a full magazine from the SCAR into a guy who isn't moving and had him turn around and kill me in three shots from the same gun. Maybe its better on PC but so goddamn bad and frustrating on console. Single player is pretty good though

@Sniperz14x i can give u a couple of tips if u don't mind! : ) try kepping ur energy bar kinda full, and mix ur abilities, i mean like try crossing high traffic areas with cloak, and keep in mind that the armor ability is a huge advantage so every time u see a guy use it. thats gonna make less frustrated trust me! ooohh btw never shoot when cloak cause it will fully drain ur energy, shoot with armor always....... sorry for my bad english lol

Stop, stop, stop! Everybody quit saying this game is bad on consoles! This game is amazing no matter what platform you own it on! PC owners are just jealous because console owners don't have to buy a $2,000 gaming rig. I know the game had PC roots, but Crytek did the right thing by spreading the love to all platforms.

Ok i have to say, graphics are amazing and all on the pc, but the game sucks ass, it's way toooo linear.
The gameplay is fine but it is just shoot and shoot and keep moving.

no mate you are wrong, you love your PC too much and then call your self a Crysis fan, games are not for one specific platform and if that is what you think then you dont really understand games. these people are not idiots and as a company they need to make profits and thus they took the decition to target a WIDER audience which could not get by only targeting Extremely High End machines.
I dont know what the gameplay is gona be like, but hopefully GOOD, if not then bad for crysis2.

MUST SELL EVERYTHING!!!!!! I'm 20 bucks short and this comes out tommarow. I might even take gamestops $3.50 for a 2010 game deal. ( Seriosly gamestop, you wont take a sealed AC2 and will dish out $5.00 for it used. I took it to sams and got $60 even though ACB sold for $40)

Great clip. I would disagree that Crysis 1 was the best engine for the PC as that category is rated on a few elements.
Crysis 1 was the best looking engine on the PC but no other studios used it due to its high system requirements 'bottleneck'. Epics Unreal Engine wasnt as good looking, but due to its scalability it won the engine race in that era (based on developers using it).

I don't get what you mean about the minimap. How do you draw a correlation between being right handed and the way your eyes look at a screen. Surely it's just as easy to look at the lower left as it is to look at the upper right, they're both the same distance from the centre of the screen. Crytek left it in the lower left cause that's where it was in Crysis 1. Also, Crytek aren't really money whores like Treyarch/Infinity Ward/Activision. There's only going to be one more Crysis after this one.

Half life 2 engine or Quake engine is the best for first person shooters on pc Crysis 1 was loved for its graphics and single player and not its shitty multiplayer that fucking sucked ass compared to Counter Strike or Quake or Unreal Tournament.

another thing that scares me about it is no big publisher reviews. usually a big title like this has a review scale a week or so prior to release. to hype the product. and usually when there is no reviews early that means the devs have told reviewers to wait until release..usually because the reviews are sub par. i hope im wong and i only had a poor demo multiplayer experience but i doubt it

not impressed with this game at all. the textures are very nice..theyre also the laziest easiest textures for a dev to render. it looks to clean to be realistic..its a polished call of duty with worse servers. there is better looking console games(not gonna say which ones or which console they are on dont wanna start shit) crytek made a bold statement when they said consoles are maxed out from crysis 2, because if they are they werent very efficient with the resources. because there is prettier
