havnt watched this for a while ,no disrespect but it makes me smile ,thanks for sharing kev keep the faith ,ps i have spoke to you im robs mate, take care happy landings.
@poweredparagliding Your right on. Im a fixed wing ultralight pilot. While this video is funny since he didnt get hurt it may also save someones life. And i have a big respect for him posting it. Keep it in the air man and i appreciate your honesty in this guys defense.
I can't believe people would try this without knowing how to control the wing. I am thinking about getting into this and if I do I am going to take an 8 day training course from a world record holder.
@TheNovaAxon I wasn't trying to bash the guy, it just seemed like a crash that could have easily been avoided. I really have no clue what I am talking about because I have never flown one. I should keep my mouth shut until I learn whats up. It was not my intent to be offensive.
This looks familiar, I did something similar myself, though not quite as dramatic. Ended up in a hedge on landing... A useful experience to help one appreciate the value of being able to spot-land. Good to see you retained your sense of humour!
Oh, the para glider seems to control the pilots way though he might be experienced. Flying near the ground is risky and the wings might fail. Solid wings are a part of a pilots life assurance.
this is a 5 star classic! it would be fun to travel overseas and fly with you gentlemen... they really know how to do it, and have fun across the pond..
You need a little bit more power....You couldnt clear any obstacle with that much thrust...Then again skill will make up for power is some situations....Obviously not this one!
Greevsy, Indeed lesson learned, could've been tragic and not funny as hell. Good to see you weren't hurt. I've had a lot worse and not got hurt including stalls down Isle of Wight Cliffs into cow fields full of shite and cross wind landings whilst self taught. Ah the laughs.....not! Reckon I was lucky and glad you are too! No old, bold pilots etc.
In my experience the vast majority of folk seem to carry one, FLPHG guys as well. Only met one or two who didn't. Maybe things are different outside of the UK.
I laughed too. Been there done that. I love the "decided to cut my losses today..." comment. He who crashes & runs away lives to fly another day. Nice to see the gear looked as good as the pilot after the encounter. Fly Safe, Fly Again.
Another smart guy ... Whay is wrong with these people who want to fly so low??? Paraglide is no football: you need to go to flying SCHOOL or you'll get SERIOUSLY hurt soon or later.
@midrix The best way to learn things cheap is to learn it from other peoples mistakes;) Paraglide is indeed no football. You gotta have a plan B in mind. But going to a SCHOOL means nothing. I learnd like everything from selfstudy. With sum tips from my dad in beginning. Never had an accident yet and im not planning to have 1;) Never do things where you aren't rdy for. And keep ya mind with the flying ofc.
haha this is funny! Glad that everyone is ok! that makes this video good especially the sense of humor

Next time stay up longer after a bad launch so you have time to calm down and compose a good mindset before landing.

You could also have crashed while taking off. You leaned forward which is very unefficient, and you used too much braking !

This comment has received too many negative votes show
This is what happens when idiots and paragliders meet.
Obviously has never trained properly, and obvisouly has never learned to fly first 'without' the motor.
People like this ruin the sports reputation, luckily nature has a way of clearing out idiots from this sport rather quickly.

that's why you shoudl probably start without the motor first. back to basics and then once you know how to contorl the shit you can add the motor

The purpose of the engine on a parramotor is to get the parraglider to the scene of the crash quicker.

When shit hits the fan, you need either altitude or speed. Flying low'n slow may look cool but is not healthy.
