A fantastic movie with a gorgeous, moving, closing song, what I loved about "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" was it's willingness to explore and be open to stepping out of your box/paradigm. The message is that all truisms are worth questioning, and your life might just be the richer for it.
The connectivity that we all share is beautifully portrayed in this gentle satire.
I have to put this in my top 10 list of all time favorite final moments in film. The song, the hand held camera work, actors and actresses expressions and movements are like a crazy visual poetry to me. I think Mazursky is in the crowd at the end walking with the very large gent. It takes me back fondly to 1969. THANK YOU for posting.
Although the song came out long before the film,it was the perfect ending song to mazursky's satire.Great film and great song by Bacharach/David/DeShannon
A perfect ending to a perfect film, very subversive in closing with a clarion call to traditional values. All four stars were fantastic, especially Robert Culp, who was just coming off his three-year run on I SPY. And was Natalie Wood ever more beautiful?

I haven't seen this film but I'd like to know why Dyan looks so upset in the elevator?

@jmstudio That was Mazursky. The large gent walking next to Paul was Larry Tucker, who co-wrote the screenplay.

O que o mundo precisa é de amor. That's portuguese for "What the world needs is love"...

Natalie Wood was at her absolute best in this film. So young, fresh, and beautiful - her death was such a waste.

Mazursky was/is still so under-rated an artist. What a great song, sentiment, final ending for a great film.!!
