  • hey, i was going to switch from trumpet to baritone, and i was thinking about buying my own, because the schools really are crappy with a ton of dents and everything, so i was wondering if you could point me in the right direction as where to get a *relatively cheap euphonium, or expensive i guess, just hopefully not over 2,000 if you could..... thanks for any help

  • I AM IN EIGHTH GRADE AND I PLAY BARITONE BARITONES RULE.

  • @goghstman445 ive been playin since 6th grade not very long considering in the 7th lol and yes they do rule

  • @goghstman445 so am I! Play colonel Bogey, one of the most fun baritone solo songs I've ever played. You don't get the melody, the the counter melody you play is just awesome

  • @roeckerchic of course it does! if it was played on a trombone!

  • @bobshowers ha.nice try

  • Fucking awesome.

  • your so damn good and it sounds amazing !! :) how long have you been playing?

  • @michael10655 I started on trumpet when I was... 10? Then switched to baritone at school at 12. Just kinda screwed around until middle of high school. After I got serious about it and really started practicing it wasn't too hard to shape everything up nicely. So I guess that means I've been playing for 14 years almost now. eesh.

  • @nhjansen I started baritone when i was 7, then 2 years ago they needed an Eb Bass/Tuba so thats what I play now.. and i am 13 :D

  • OMFG I wish I could get a sound that nice, i would hit a high F and it would be a bit wronchy, any tips anyone? They would be SOOOOOO greatly appreciated :D

  • @Oronoras

Air is your best friend. Large amount of air per breath, and don't be afraid to take as many breaths as you feel you need to fill your lungs.

  • @xxDoesitmatterxx Dude thanks, I can hit high A now :D soooooooo happy :D:D

  • the 1 dislike is jelous!

  • I learned how to play this on trombone about a month ago. I had to take some things down an octave so i could play with a good sound.

  • REALLY COOL!!!! ^.^

  • way to rock the 8-bit nostalgia ! only advice, invest in a beta 52, and a tall heavy stand, if you haven't already.

  • @Whitleb2 I have a Heil mic now. Run it through an apogee duet into my laptop. it sounds fantastic. I've been recording a ton... just not video. yet. :D

  • awesome, i play the euphonium at my church

  • sir...CAN U PLS TUTOR ME IN DA ART OF EUPHONIUM PLAYING (or at least make a tutorial video on how to improve tone quality in high ranges (: )!?! i just luv ur tone and...well...ur just beast! datz all i have to say bout dat. lol

  • Dayum! Im really impressed on how you make that horn ring! Nice job. :3

  • thts sooo cool! i luv the harmonies

  • You have a very nice tone, and I was very impressed with how you were able to keep in sync with all three recordings. Great job!

  • i love your tone and tuning. thanks for puting so much work into it!

  • Niiiiice. I play a four-key euphonium, been playing it since 7th grade. I'm hoping to get Zelda sheet music soon. :)

  • NICE!

  • thats freakin sweet!!! im a euphonium player too and i think thats so awesome

(no i have not posted any vids. of me playing yet

  • Great playing... What video editing program do you use to do this? I need one like it for my own videos.

  • amazing !!!

    congratulations (y)

  • have you got the music sheet of this :)

    nice ;)

  • So I take it you used a metronome and a very good program to do this. Your tone is incredible and the arrangement/transcription is very very nice. Overall I'd say superb job. You should do other songs as well

  • I DO do other songs... check 'em out >>>

  • I'm not gonna lie, I've never subscribed to anyone, but your musicianship is formidable, so I am going to keep up with any of your new works. Keep up the good work

  • Thanks! I really do appreciate it :D

  • i do do xD

    sorry lol...

    Very good job o:

  • What type of recorder do you use?

  • can u tell me how do you do this?

  • This is AMAZING...if you used sheet music fior this...is there any way i can get it? And also...do you have finale notepad? because i was writing zelda songs for a quartet with my section at school...i havent gotten around to recording them but i wanted to see if you could run through them whenever you get time...id have to find a way to send the music to you though..thanks in advanced...happy playing :D

  • by the way, this rocked. i can play banjo kazooie songs, (gruntilda's lair/pretty much every good one), but i wish i could record them as well as this. you played this very well, and from a very good song from a very good game!

  • well.. on monday i get my first instrument.. and its this :)

  • congrats, the euphonium rocks. practice a lot. you'll end up just doing it for fun, and once you become skilled with it, you'll be thankful.

  • Good choice lol

  • god.. so cool. um.. i need to know, which should i get, a euphonium, or baritone horn?

  • Get a euph, they have a much richer, and fuller sound then the baritone.

  • thanks :)

  • No Problem.

  • what euph do you play on

  • The baritone!~ My very first instrument! Well.. my only instrument pretty much. xD I have been playing for one year, and have been told that I am making excellent progress. I should post a video with this. But I only have audio equipment.. Sadly. v v;; If I DO make one, I'll post a response to you.

  • nice glove...o wait...ahhah nice tan

  • if you think that the euphonium is too easy try the tuba i thought so so i switched to tuba

  • Great stuff! You have a very nice tone! :)

  • Where can I get the sheet music in bari treble?

  • I used to play trumpet and just recently switched to baritone, so I don't really know what a baritone/ euphonium is supposed to sound like. However, by the sound of it, you are scary good!

P.S. I absolutely love this song!

  • AWSOME!!

could you show us the sheets... please :P

  • can someone please tell me the diffrence between a baritone and a euphonium i cant see it..... the there a difference in the sound or what?

  • They are literally the same i just has two different names duh..

  • You are wrong. They are not the same instrument. A euphonium is conical bore and a baritone is cylindrical bore.

    duh... :P

  • Wait what? My band teacher said they were the same? I just switched from trumpet (today), and I have only played a baritone/euphonium once in my life, so what am I playing?

  • get a new band teacher :D haha. nah. Your band teacher was probably just saying that to avoid a real explanation.

  • @joelscam ill save you the trouble baritone sounds more like a trombone and euphonium sounds more like a tuba

  • @joelscam a Baritone can be either a Marching Baritone, or a Concert Baritone. a Euphonium can have 4 valves on top, or 3 on top and one on the side, plus, theres concert, Bb, and Eb baritones and euphoniums as well

  • @DeadlyRuler007 Eb horns are usually alto saxhorns which are pretty much only used in england.

  • if looked the bottom the whole video then you have low standards if you looked the left 1 u like a little challenge and if u looked the right one u set ur standards high please this is not a chain letter just a thought and opinion and please dont change just higher ur standars -15 year old rashaad

  • Euphonium for the win.

  • LOVE it. I play Euphonium in my schools Wind Ensemble and I can play all 4 C's, for a short time in the upper octave, and I'm only 15! I also play Trumpet in jazz band.

  • everyone tell me they're total range on a euphonium, its meant to be 4 C's (pedle middle high and top C) i can play all 4 but cant get lower than pedle c (and im 16)

  • Well. The lowest "real" note would be the pedal B natural. That's the one just shy of an octave below pedal Bb. On the high end, it's worth it to strive for the really high Bb. That is, 8 spaces above the top of bass clef. Most band music never goes over the C below that (5th space above the staff).

Keep at it and your range will get there.

  • nice. i play euph. 2 and i love playin fun songs

  • i play euphonium to and i have to say nice job. I'll try posting videos if i ever get a camcorder....

    Nice job though

  • Well... I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at, but yes, it is supposed to happen? Be careful not to hurt your face!

  • I swear I think I saw you at royal music in RO Mi, do you take lessons with John Rutherford. Probably not but just checking.

  • wow dude your like the only non-professional euphonium better than me in youtube that ive seen so far ,all the other euphonium players ive seen in youtube ( not counting the professional ones) suck ass

  • It doesn't really matter if they "suck ass." At least they're posting videos, haha. You should too, if you're so good :D

    Thanks!

  • i probably will lol

youre fucking good by the way

are you like in college or something

  • I am 24. I was in college. I earned my bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. I did play my horn a lot, tough. Still do.

  • Wow, you demonstrate some awesome range. What is the range in this song?

  • High D Flat. Low E flat.

  • High D Flat as in 5 ledger lines above the staff?

  • Yar.

  • Sounds a little loud,,,But still glorious :D !

  • hey there^^ really nice playing indeed! did you get all three tracks by listening or do you have a midi mapper to learn it?

    regards from germany

  • how fun! (i'll comment on here instead of facebook because i'm cool like that!)
