I cannot fathom how it is that United Staters, especially those in Tejas, Nuevo México, Arizona, Alta California, Nevada, La Florida, Colorado, and Utah can be so up in arms about people coming to "their" country illegally when they are in México illegally. If she doesn't like what's going on in Tejas, then Rebecca Forest should LEAVE MÉXICO and go back to her own country in Europe! We should not become the first and only country in the world with open borders i.e. no one is an illegal immigrant because it's not illegal to cross the border without documentation. Working to maintain and protect our "closed" border is working to ensure that our country remains like every other country in the world re its borders, including Mexico

@vincenizzle When I said I didn't hear racism in the speech that's what I meant. The wind was blowing. Maybe some racist comments were made but I did NOT HEAR any. If you try hard to find negativity you'll find it everywhere and anywhere. Our own people continue to screw each other over more than Anglos ever did. As for Blacks, more blacks have been killed by blacks in the last year than by the Klan in the last 100. THAT'S what has to change. Blaming forces outside ourselves won't work.

It is a fact that Ron Kirk lost to John Cornyn for the Senate seat because white Democrats in the non-metro areas voted for Cornyn. Does that make the Democratic Party racist?

Um, one of the speakers was George Rodriguez, Pres. of San Antonio Tea Party...presumably he didn't hold this exact view. This was a rally against illegal immigration, not a Tea Party event. Best to not take three minutes and trash every Tea Party movement supporter. This is hardly an indictment on the whole of the Tea Party, as much as you want to make it so.
