Oh and I forgot to ention how many covers I did of Final Fantasy. I did songs from all ten, but I mostly did OWA, Birth of a God, Those Chosen by the Planet, Glad in Dark, Battle Scene 2 (we did the original, not the Black Mages one, it was too slow for us), Otherworld, and Maybe I'm a Lion. My top five FFs are VII, IV, II, X, and VIII. I like all of them, I just prefer those five. My favorite characters are Sephiroth, Kain, Jecht, Squall (I look like him), and Zack.
Good job at this cover. I like it, FFIV is underratd and great. Kain was badass and I remember playng a medley cover of "Suspicion" and "Cry in Sorrow" with personal improvistation and an extended guitar solo at the end of "Cry in Sorrow" that I did that led into the improvised piece. It was my way of making a tribute to Kain Highwind, the Legendary Dragoon. Anyways, nice cover, I'd like to hear more.
@duskcrawler Thank you very much. I was thinking about doing some improvisation stuff with next FF titles but I think many listeners don't like that, they want to listen to the original. Maybe I'll do a normal and a improvisation or jazz version some day.
And yes, FF IV is underrated. It has a good story for the early 1990s and has a great gameplay! I'm currently recording a new cover of a FF IX song (my favourite FF beside FF VI).
@CountShadow Lol, I never did improvistations, mostly because it does not compare to originals. I only improvised for Kain Highwind, because I think he deserved something abit more longer, so me and my band, at the time, wrote a 5 minute epic with"Suspicion" and "Cry in Sorrow" in the piece. I bet you'd like it. It has the same melancholic tone as the two tones, just with guitars playing a solo. I thin Kain, himself would approve. Anyways, good luck, I hope you do well on your covers.
