The idea of a united humanity may be far fetched, but Halo shows what is true. Halo shows that, if in the face of danger, even the most war like species can come together and fight and die to save everyone else. Its sometimes overlooked at how divided we are, and even more overlooked at how we can come together.

Heck by the time Humanity start exploring the greater galaxy we're probably still be divided, until we meet some thing that requires humanity to actually unite, aka possible human extinction scenarios or violent alien contact.

@Methyll if we can stabilize the population on earth then im sure we would be thinking to the stars, and this year we will hit 7 billion people on earth. so someone get started on those damn naval space cruiser plans because i dont want to be here when the shit hits the fan. it also wouldn't hurt if someone took about 300 5 year olds and enrolled them into the military and gave them super soldier abilities, and it woudn't hurt to call them spartans either.
