Anvil sucks, the drummer can't keep time, the singer is like a caricature of the worst of 80's rock singers, dude's guitar sounds like a car with squeaky brakes and the dude doing their sound really let them down. just click 1:17 sounds like shit.

I tried to fair with Anvil after I saw the movie. As a metal kid fro the 80s (grew up with big4) I admit that I only vaguely remembered them. Trying to judge from a neutral perspective, regardless of their love and devotion to their "career" and music, none of their songs really sticks to my mind or stands out. The guys they played at the festival with, Scorps, Jovi, etc. all managed to produce some EPIC tunes that still stand out today. Anvil ? Sorry, not up there with those legends.

Anvil could always play. There problem was that lips couldn't sing and their lyrics were shit on most songs. this is of course a classic, but all of their best stuff is instrumental. Try White Rhino to see them at their best.
