@HouseInVisus And I love it for that. I didn't know you could save her either, but damn I gave it my all. It followed the tradition of Deus Ex perfectly. I never knew you could save Paul against overwhelming odds either. Sometimes its better for good decisions not to be forced upon you, that's the mark of a great game.
@jadencore I tried too, but it didn't work out. The other thing I didn't like was that it wasn't clear that you wouldn't be able to come back to areas to complete side quests. Other than that it was ok, I liked the characters, but one play through was enough for me.
@jadencore Agreed. It's brilliant that way. And don't forget that you can lose your pilot in the first one too, if you don't realise "Hey, uh, there's a guy in here acting suspicious and there appears to be a dead mechanic behind those barrels. You might want to check for a bomb" xD
The hardest part is making sure those two guys near the mech don't die in the explosion. I tried Gassing them but they still get too close. I'll try getting behind em and punching and tossing em before destroying the mech. Instead, I could gas the second floor of the structure on Malik's right.
finally! after about 12 tries, i managed to do it physically. i took everyone out with my bare hands. thank god i had enough candy. stun gun is just not for me.
Since there aren't any alarms to set off in this section can you still be seen and get the Foxiest of the Hounds achievement/trophy? Because the radar went Hostile! even though you were cloaked.
haha I had to drag the soldier away from the robot to protect him as well, I felt ridiculous doing it in the middle of a gigantic battle, but also strangely zen at the same time :)
@TheBioshow I'm not totally sure, but I believe there is an EMP grenade in a secret area just to the left of where you spawn, inside a concrete pipe, if you need to, draw the bots attention with a few bullets, then find it and take it out.
This was the only fight the whole game I used the stun gun. I used the tranq rifle for everything else...the problem with the stun gun is that you have to put yourself at risk of detection to use it, unlike the tranq rifle, but when no one is gunning for you it doesn't matter anyway.
if the robot explosion kills someone, they DO count as your kills and screw up your pacifist achievement/trophy. I learned that the hard way on second playthrough.
Keep in mind that the last time you can buy grenades is back in detroit. dont go to sarif building as you cant go back to detroit city after that.

the explosions DO count as kills sadly.

Thanks for this.
@AERoVALKYRiE
Nope. You can kill everything non-organic and still get the pacifist achievement.
MrBarry1024 4 months ago
i believe killin robot with emp will not achieve pacifist

i was lucky enough to not have to drag the bodies too...if you wait for a few seconds, they walk away from the bot on their own

this is arguably the hardest part in the game for me. i just cant seem to move around properly

I've seen a few places mention that the explosion from the Security Bot doesn't negate the pacifist achievement.

no idea you could actually save her, so will be doing this on my replay thank you

@CptDeathwatch I haven't gone for that achievement, so I don't know. But an enemy going hostile doesn't count as an alarm.

Wow......now i got the idea how to beat this on hard, but how to beat this without having grenades?

@TheBioshow you can also fire the robot with a revolver with piercing armor upgrade, i think.

I NEED A STUN GUN
TheDeadlyXins 5 months ago
how do u get a stun gun?
TheDeadlyXins 5 months ago
it would have been nice if the stun gun could have the laser upgrade!!
TheUbdiGubdi 5 months ago
@TheUbdiGubdi Its a really close range weapon, and you can turn the crosshair on without penalty anyway. Laser sight would have been useless on it.

I have a question, when malik comes in jear the end and kills all those soldiers, do they count towards your kills?
jasanimans 6 months ago
@jasanimans No. Its only if its a result of your actions. Killing someone with a robot, letting someone die in an explosion. Stuff like that.
jadencore 5 months ago
impressive.

jadencore 6 months ago
So killing the robot is ok? I read that even killing robots fucks Pacifist Achievement?
Kareeda1 6 months ago
@Kareeda1 Yeah, robots are fine. They aren't living after all, plus there's no way to shut it down in that area without destroying it.
Watch out in the tutorial though, because if you kill any of those guys as pre-augmented Jensen, say bye-bye to your achievement. Like I did.
jadencore 6 months ago
@Kareeda1 nope is not ok

you dont get it if the guy falls of the ledge and dies at :45
