Oh, this is so bad. I can play a lot better than that. I'm kidding! Actually, I have been practicing this for the last two months and still haven't got it down. I'm having trouble with that cadenza. Why are some people blessed with a barrel of talent, and others just a thimble-full?
lol in the choral society concert, our four soloists each had their own opera aria to sing. and After it they receieved applaused stayed up there for two whol,e minutes, walked back to the pew then went back out and receive one more minute of applause.
;-) No proszę, jednak udało mi się przełamać milczenie... ;-) Pierwszy rodak się odezwał... ;-) Co prawda dopiero po 7 miesiącach, ale jednak było warto czekać... ;-) Jak to mówią: za długie czekanie dobre śniadanie... ;-)
Hmm...is the teacher Russian? I detect some Russian style playing here. GREAT JOB!!! What a young talent. Very good dance rhythm; just don't rush so much through the trills. Check out the Stephen Hough recording when you get a chance. I actually didn't like Paderewski's own recording of this piece, but it's probably due to the old recording quality. Hough's version will knock your socks off.
Try to find a copy of the old movie "Moonlight Sonata" which featured Ignace Jan Paderewski in a concert recital...he played his 'Minuet,' and I think this young man might get a kick out of seeing how much his performance matched the Composer's....right down to the same timing !

I have to say, the run leading up to the cadenza was amazing, as was the cadenza itself!

first of all paderewski is not Russian so the teacher who teaches this class would be Polish

I thought he was great, definitely going to be good if he keeps playing, however, i dont like the sound of that particular piano, too sharp tone.
He's fast =)
