I have been in the logging and sawmill business most of my life,currently .

a tree is a plant, just like the tomatoe plant in your garden, if it is not harvested when

it reaches maturity it becomes a hazard to the rest of the forrest. causing fires

and a waste to humanity. i know many of you that watch this show think that the

forest is being exploited but the next time you look for toilet paper and there is none then you will see why trees should be harvested at maturity
