Many countries changed their relationship because of censorship. In North America, they're cousins. They also cut out the kissing scenes for the censored countries.
@FallenHeart26 Sailor Moon can often be very moving, but that's what makes the show so good, right. Episode 197-200 are on up there in the episodes I like, they ended the series very well!
I think was around episode 199 or 200 but I clearly remember this scene because it was so good. Definitely my top favorites and displays a clear example of how dramatic Sailor Moon can get.

In S/Infinity they acted like huge twats, ignoring the other senshi, forcing tasks upon Setsuna and wanting to kill Hotaru until all their bullshit was proven wrong as they got their asses kicked.
Then they just went along and did the very same thing, ignored the other senshi, killed Setsuna and Hotaru and getting their asses whipped.
Their relationship is the most beautiful relationship ever, I thank them for teaching me the loyalty, trust, & hope I have. Always, even in death, they are my heroes. You can't find any characters in modern day shows that teach you as much Love as they do here. (or any show that teaches ANYTHING for that matter)
You think in the time after their failed attempt and before they died, they could've attacked again with the bracelets, Sailor Moon and the Star lights could've helped?
I still hate that they killed all of them for nothing. They didn't tell any of them, And had no idea if it would hit galaxia or not. stupid. they deserve to go to hell. planet power. wouldn't that work? Along with the power of the starlights.really? I lost my respect.

@hollyhock18x7 You are absolutely right! This is the only anime I've seen where its central theme is that "The Power of Love" will conquer everything in the end. Even the most hardened of hearts (Sailormoon's enemies) yielded to Sailormoon's Love. When I think about it, it really is patterned after the Gospel message that God's Love will conquer and envelope everything in the end so that everyone will be absorbed in God's love. I love this anime!!

Also, how are gay rights and civil rights different? Gay people have died from people against gay rights just how minorities have died from people against civil rights.

@Yci They all die at the end of every arc - it's just the level of emotion and drama Sailor Moon gets into when finalizing a story arc before moving to the next where they're back alive one way or another only to all die again at the end of the next arc and so on. It's what gives the show that intense drama and emotion and leaves you desperate to see the next episode, and the next, and onward. You have to love the "Magical Girl" genre!
@Yci Yea, this is the final story arc and I think episode 199, so in episode 200 they'll come back. Sailor Moon must defeat the enemy who possessing Sailor Galaxy, the strongest sailor in existence, and after freeing her all the people including Tuxedo Mask and the Sailor Stars Princess come back alive along with the favorite Uranus and Neptune lol.
@Yci Neptune in particular is my top favorite though I do like Sailor Saturn, Sailor Chibi Moon, and Sailor Pluto (Mainly because Sailor Pluto is so different than the other sailor soldiers, very quiet, reserved, and respectful)
@barcakid101 there is no english dub of this season, only up until season 4 they dubbed it. If DIC did dub this however, it would've been too hard to explain to a child due to fact of the dying, the starlights gender change (why they changed from male to female) and it would've possibly been cheesie too (knowing DIC) just watch it in Jap with english subs.
I loved it minus one thing: WHY DIDN'T THEY AT LEAST KISS! I mean, the animator could have put them closer together, and surely they could have kissed. I know in America, this was supposed to be a kid show, but I think it would be nice to see a real, true kiss, in place of photoshopping and fanart.

If only death could be as beautiful as this. and if death only came because of good intentions....but no this world is falling deeper and deeper into darkness. unlike the world of anime, there is no Sailor Moon to save us.

The only reason that they say they're cousins in the English version is because the company that stuck the English voices over the anime made the homophobic decision to censor any reference to their lesbian relationship, so they changed them to cousins. They also changed the gender of Zoicite from male to female because he was in a gay relationship they didn't like

The betraying part of Uranus n Neptune also appear in manga, but they are controlled by Galaxia. I hate sailor star's arc. It focus more on Starlight rather than the sailor war itself. The Sailor Senshi seems weak ! They almost can defeat the monster of the week. Sailor Moon power is questionable. Sailor Galaxia has no character unlike in manga, she is just evil. I hate it. The Animamates are stupid and weak, Lead Crow n Tin Nyanko is strong but has no scene to prove it.

Sailor moon series was most of the time funny and with a beautiful message of love and friendship, but when it comes to final fights OMG...very cruel, i cried the first time when i saw this, and i feel the same way everytime that i watch it, the death of the sailors is very dramatic, i remeber watching this with my Best friend and i coul see his ayes very crystalline, i think he just held it back, i couldn't i cried, fortunatelly they come up to life again :)

@Just999Me darkness is an illusion.. just like this "word is falling" thing. if you remember sailor moon and what she stood for you'd know that there's that light of hope in everyone's heart. Despite that being said... with a new age comes new rules, and i for one now believe that in order to truly see your eyes must be open to light and dark. I'll be saving myself, thanks to inspiration granted by a fictionnal character.

@annabell1617 You're pretty ignorant and idiotic. In the English version they're practically promoting lesbian incest because they were made cousins. Their relationship is beautiful and wholesome and they love each other. They have one of the strongest relationships I've seen in anime, manga, or other movies and shows. I think they're even better than Usagi and Mamoru, but Haruka and Michiru are together until the very end and are in love. Love shines just as brightly, whether FM MM or FF.

@annabell1617 Uranus and Neptune ARE lesbians. They're lesbians in both the anime and the manga and they are not related in any way. The only reason that they say they're cousins in the English version is because the company that stuck the English voices over the anime made the homophobic decision to censor any reference to their lesbian relationship, so they changed them to cousins. They also changed the gender of Zoicite from male to female because he was in a gay relationship they didn't like

@Zoujen Only because it's the only one that had an imnpact on me. I mean, yeah, all the other deaths were sad, and I sniffled a little when the inner scouts died. But for some reason, this one left more of an impact.

The betraying part of Uranus n Neptune also appear in manga, but they are controlled by Galaxia. I hate sailor star's arc. It focus more on Starlight rather than the sailor war itself. The Sailor Senshi seems weak ! They almost can defeat the monster of the week. Sailor Moon power is questionable. Sailor Galaxia has no character unlike in manga, she is just evil. I hate it. The Animamates are stupid and weak, Lead Crow n Tin Nyanko is strong but has no scene to prove it.

When I first saw this I thought it would really suck if they didn't reach and touch each others hand before they die even more since I love these two so much one of my fav couple and characters in all of anime also becuz I was tearing the FUCKING whole time my heart relax a little when the and least touch each others hand before they died cuz most anime like revolutionary girl utena utena barly even reach anthy they only touch a little bit and was mad as hell so I'm glad that part happen

Sailor moon series was most of the time funny and with a beautiful message of love and friendship, but when it comes to final fights OMG...very cruel, i cried the first time when i saw this, and i feel the same way everytime that i watch it, the death of the sailors is very dramatic, i remeber watching this with my Best friend and i coul see his ayes very crystalline, i think he just held it back, i couldn't i cried, fortunatelly they come up to life again :)
