  • Thanks for the replies, will ball juggling help improve my disgraceful first touch? And my bambi-on-ice style dribbling? The biggest problem is I take so long to get the ball under control, my options once I have managed to are limited to taking the defender on (always lose it) or passing back to whichever silly bastard passed to me. I play wide defense because my tackling and marking and speed are all good, is there a position I'd be better suited to? One which sees less of the ball maybe, haha

  • @hhumpo21 - Yes juggling will improve your touch and regardless of your position you need to develop these skills. Juggling to improve first touch, dribbling to improve dribbling, talk to yourself positively to improve your confidence. Have you read the free training guide yet? If not you need to go to my youtube channel and follow the featured video.

  • If we could do 25 kick ups on each foot we wouldn't need to improve our ball control! I can't do 5.

  • @hhumpo21 - Yes you would. Whatever level you are at, you need to work to become better. If you can get 5, next week I want you to be able to get 10. Just practice a little bit everyday. You can do this!

  • @hhumpo21 dude, i can do 100 kick ups on 1 foot, but my ball control is not good ((::

  • I really don't master juggling... I would say i have deasent ball controll on the ground, and my best quality is by far my first touch, and I seldom can't get control over passes coming to me, no matter if they are high or low. Still, for some reason I can't get the hang on juggling, my record musy be maximum 15 touches. Obviously i have worked less on my juggling technique than my first.touvh, but I just can't juggle.. :( Also i'm a little bit bow-legged, i wonder if this has anything to say?

  • @humanbody2 - It just comes down to the amount of time you've spent and your desire to improve. This is an extremely important skill to master and one that all players should work to improve. Go to my channel search How To Juggle A Football or Juggling Tutorial for beginners and start with those - I want you to beat your record every day. Can you do that? I know you can do that, but will you?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials - I have watched your tutorials and practised a bit, but my mainproblem is that i give the ball to much backspin.. In addition i stuggle with kicking the ball straight upwards in the first place, so I have to take a touch with my breast inbetween every touch with my foot.. I wonder if i lock my ancle in a to small angle, or is it just that my contact-point is wrong?

  • @humanbody2 - Yes too much back spin and your hitting the ball too much on the back side. Try to hit more on the bottom. Did you watch that tutorial like I mentioned?

  • what's the best and fastest way to improve your passing and control from highballs and controlling passes?

  • @stevinho98 - Juggling. Kick the ball up in the air and practice controlling it without letting it hit the ground. But playing long balls and receiving passes with teammates is something you should always do if you have a partner to play with. Or kicking balls against a wall, making them bounce back to you, controlling and repeating. Do those ideas help?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials yea thanks man im gonna start doing that

  • @stevinho98 - Realize the time to start in now! Tomorrow never comes. You have to act and start chasing your goals now! You with me?

  • If i believe? Haha. Of course man i'm willing to do what ever it takes, and that starts with believing in yourself potential and what you can do.

  • @komystark - Exactly. Otherwise you are wasting your time. You got this! Keep pushing. What are your goals for this year?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Yh man i got this! My goals of the year is to become a pro player. I think it is always better to think big and have a positive mentality .

  • @komystark - Definitely think big. But I think that is a long term goal 4 or 5 year. How old are you?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials I am 17. I train twice a day and work really hard so i know it's going to work out.And your advice has help me a lot over the past weeks.

  • if i could do all this i wouldnt need to practice ball control

  • @biblekid2 - IF you could do all of htis you would keep practicing ball control because it is so important to keep improving no matter how good you are. Have you picked up the Free Training Guide from my website? Follow the featured video on my channel.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Hey man awsome Training Guide very Inspirational thanks

Great videos also! Your'e the BEST!

  • @komystark - You read the training guide. Im stoked. Tell me what did you find most valuable about it. And would you recommend it to other players?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials I think the whole training is valuable. If a player is doing personal training in his yard this should be the first thing he/she start off with.

I would recommend this to any player even some coaches.

  • @komystark - Thanks for the great feedback. Tell me more about your progress. Tell me about your mentality. What do you want to achieve in this game?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials I have improved on my ball control and first touch incredibly by doing these training. Well my mentality is hard work as your training guide have 'only the dictionary have success before work!" Well of course i want to receive success at a pro level. NOTHING LESS

  • @komystark - Great stuff! Keep pushing forward! I know you can do this you just have to believe in yourself and work hard everyday! Do you believe?

  • yes it does thanks

  • @soccerboss98 - No problem. Have you picked up the Free Training Guide yet? Go to my website, fill out the form, and follow the steps. Where you from?

  • Do you have any tips to improve my balance so i can actually Start juggling

  • @soccerboss98 - I dont think balance is your main priority. Go to my channel and search How To Juggle A Soccer Ball Tutorial - start there with basic techniques and move your way up. Does that help?

  • i understand that keepy ups will improve your overall control, but do you know any drills that would improve it in a game like situation? Like improving control with a man on your back, when turning etc?

  • @Soccermad92 - These drills are important to develop the touch so you can use it in the game. Send me a message and I will send you links to a few different videos to help you out. In the mean time work in your training sessions and games to always attack new open space with your 1st touch. Rather than stopping the ball dead in front of you. Does that help?

  • this is so bloody frustrating I can't even do one is there any technique for complete beginners cause I keep practising everyday but nothing really seems to improve. man it's frustrating

    any advice ?

  • @HajrudinPranjga - Rule number 1 don't get frustrated. Go to my channel and search Soccer Juggling Tips and How To Juggle A Soccer Ball - there are a few videos and tutorials. Does that help? Let me know.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials hey dude now I can do 5. man it's a big improvement for me. thanks again :)

  • @HajrudinPranjga - Good stuff. I want you to be able to do 10 by the end of next week. Can you do that? I know you can. But will you?

  • my record is 1323 still training everyday to get over 2000 :D

  • @football17freestylen - Amazing. I love to hear that. Keep going for more everyday! Thanks for the comment. Any tips for people struggling with juggling?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials yh: when you juggle, do not have too much back spin. hits the ball between the instep and toes, try to get the ball to go around up to knee high. and you need lots of epractise everyday here is a good tutorial who helped me alot:

    /watch?v=8lw7MnMwPO4

  • my record is 6 :)) and i have been playing football for 1 year now.. i never really thought i'd need it to improve my skills but now i'll practice lol

  • @anjpogi - Good stuff. If your really serious about improving go to my channel and watch the featured video. Thanks for the comment.

  • my record is 261. but i don't believe in records, honestly. as long as you can hit past 50, it's all about body and leg stamina hitting past 100, 200, 500, 800, etc

  • @Grounderz - I wouldnt say 50 I would say 500 but I guess that should be your goal to improve leg stamina and more importantly concentration.

  • Comment removed

  • My record is 174. Still training everyday

  • @KC16SG - Good stuff. Once you can get to 500 everyday you can move onto more advanced juggling techinques. Keep pushing yourself. Good stuff.

  • what happened to your soccer career?

  • What is Juggling helping

  • @Thenewbeat2011 - Ball Control / Ball Master. What is your record?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials I think 10 i really suck at it

  • @TheSoccerEssentials My recod is only 10 i really sad about that

  • Hey dude I just want to say thanks, I still cant juggle but I improved on both feet, anyway I looked at alot of videos and just clicked a random one to say thanks for helping me, it took me like 5 weeks to improve in ball control, and I'm definatly glad Im subscribed to you, keep doing what your doing!

  • @EstupedMexicanz - Hey really glad to hear that. Keep training and looking to improve every single day. Over time you will be a master at juggling and playing Soccer. Be sure to check out The Ultimate Soccer Training Guide - Soccer Success Secrets, link in the description box above.

  • i see a lot of videos of you How to improve soccer ball control but i don't know which video to start first . i'm a beginner

  • @RondoTheMVP - Ok First you should go to my channel and search for a video called - How To Juggle A Soccer Ball - Soccer Juggling Tutorial

  • @TheSoccerEssentials can i practice with barefeet ??? or have to wear shoes

  • @RondoTheMVP - You can practice with bare feet but if you are playing your games in shoes you will want to become comfortable control the ball in your soccer cleats.

  • Thanks for the great video. I haven't played soccer in a long time, but this video inspires me to implement these drills for fun while playing other sports.

  • @chefwannabe1 - Thats the right attitude!

  • @chefwannabe1 - Thats the right attitude!

  • just thought id fill you in :) i got it hitting in the right place! enjoy it even more now.

although i have another question: will having good ball control help you dribble? vice-versa?

  • @hunkyjelly - Yes and it will help with your first touch - which is the most important - you still need to practice your dribbling as well though

  • @hunkyjelly - Yes and it will help with your first touch - which is the most important - you still need to practice your dribbling as well though

  • also o notice that i tend to flex my foot upwards/ should i keep them relaxed?

  • @hunkyjelly - You want to have curled toes to force backspin on the ball but you don't want your foot so tight that your cutting off circulation. Do you know what I mean?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials yeah. thanks :) i did it again today and really focused, seems to be working

  • @hunkyjelly - Glad to hear. Stick with it!

  • hello socceressentials, i started juggling in february this year and couldn't even do 2, then i stopped again in may and june to strengthen my legs after an injury in 2010. and my record so far is 70.

the thing im frustrated about is i can't seem to hit the ball in the right place on my feet, i keep hitting it with my toes :/ any suggestions, thanks

    p.s keep the vids coming

  • Respond to this video... -1) Lock your ankle

    2) Slightly lift your whole leg instead of trying to flick your ankle.

    3) Really focus on being quick on your reactions.

    4) Practice.

Tough technique. Takes time. But very effective in developing delicate "touch" in both feet.

    Hope that helps.

  • Thanks for sharing! I suppose these ball control skills also apply to futsal? Indoor soccer? And how often do you need to practice?

  • @Chinnie91 - You can practice as much or as a little as you like. It's up to you. I would recommend every single day.

  • what are the important things any club need in any player

  • I cant juggle at all Its so hard :( Do I need to know? I play defense

  • @EstupedMexicanz - Yep you definitely need to know. It will improve your Ball Control. If you dont work to improve your ball mastery and control you will just be another defender whos big, fast, and can kick the ball far.

Just start with a record even if it's 2 and beat it each day. Tomorrow get 3. Next day get 4. You'll be surprised how quick you pick it up with consistent effort.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Okay thanks. But one more question Im a really good defence at slide tackling and stuff, but like you said ill just be another, but when my teammates pass the ball back to me I get a little nervous and kick it as quick as i can, how do i fix this, i need more self confidence

  • @EstupedMexicanz - Just remind yourself to play calm. In the beginning you may make a few mistakes but you have to learn to receive the ball, make a first touch into positive space, and make an accurate pass. You can combine with your wingers, play into the central midfielder, dribble up the line, or clip a ball over the top to the striker. Obviously if your under a lot of pressure its ok to kick the ball up into space for your forward to run onto. But try to play simple soccer

  • can i ask you a question what did the clubs needs in the

    player

  • @xXMoHa96Xx - Sorry can you reword your question I dont really know what you are asking?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials I think he's asking what qualities clubs want to see in players.

  • @stratchild - Desire to Learn. Technical Skill. Heart. The ability to be coached. Understanding of the game. Physicality. Positive communication with teammates. A person with a Good head on their shoulders and heart in their chest. Pace. Power. And a bit of a cutthroat edge if you know what I mean.

  • some of my friends pick on me cause I can do the inside foot juggling. They say it's cause I'm short but I always tell them it's just skill, that's why I'm a 10th grade, 16 year old varsity starting player and they're still learning how to shoot a free kick. lol keep it up man, I was looking for acceleration and speed tips and found yours, I'll be trying them out and see how they work for me :D

  • @LilDiceMusic - Glad to hear. PS - don't care about what others thing about you. You'll have a much easier and more successful life. All that matters in the end is what you think of yourself. Keep training!

  • hey,i'm 22 years old and i was really fast and i had a really strong left foot and good shooting accuracy, but i broke my leg a year ago and now i cant get back my speed or even shot power and accuracy, please reply me with some profissional ideas =)

  • @sha2rawy89 - You need to strengthen your leg again. Do you do rehabilitation exercises any weight training and stretching?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials thanks for the respond =) yeah ive done that at the gym my muscles are strong again but ive done lots of jogging with weights and i cant get back my speed or stamina no matter what i do ,its really depressing u know

  • @sha2rawy89 - Speed. You need to train with agility and speed drills. Different sprints in running patterns. Do you ever do anything like that? As well as plyometric exercises.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials thanks alot =) ill look up ur vids for these kinds of training and ill let u know the results ,again thanks alot for the great information =)

  • @sha2rawy89 - No problem . I do it for people like you who want to get better at Soccer!

  • Thank you so much! I went from having a 5 juggle record to being able to juggle 80+ times just from practicing over the summer and these videos helped tons on improving my all around game!

  • @AmazingJoe24 - Hey really glad to hear that. But don't stop there. Keep improving and not just juggling and ball control but all different areas of your game. Keep up the great work and keep me posted on your progress.

  • hmm...i always try not to mess up ,and maybe thats why i mess up..

    thanks a lot..

could you do a video on bicycle kicks?? pls ..

no video on whole youtube teaches that..

  • Thanks.Apart from skill and strength exercises, how many matches should I play per week?? And how much should I jog per day??

I always lose my cool while playing matches. I think I'm pretty good skill wise. But I can't perform in matches..

How should I keep my composure???

How sholud I remain calm with the ball at my feet??

  • @ilikezizu - Positive self talk. Are you saying positive things to yourself whne the ball is coming to you... or are you saying "O S****, I better not mess this up!" - if thats the case your already planning to fail. Think positive things, when I get this ball Im going to pass it here, or im going to dribble into this space, im going to play quickly and sharply. That sort of thing. Play as many matches as you can, especailly when your young. You dont have to jog more than 30min a day

  • Very nice videos ,I have seen many of them. They have helped me a lot but I wonder what to do,and how often should I do it. Would you pls help me with a weekly schedule..

I will follow it very strictly, just help me .

  • @ilikezizu - You can work on ball skills, every day. Strength and Speed every second day. Flexiblity every day. This is a great way to start for beginners who are serious about improving their skills.

  • Hey you are very good. I gotta practice my juggling but I dont know how to. I can only do around 10 right now. Any suggestions?

  • @timtim0226 - Practice. Practice. Practice. It wont happen over night. Try to juggle left, right, left, right. Set a record - if its 10. Tomorrow you have to get 11. Next day 12, and so on. Keep moving forward. Practice for as long as it takes to beat your record.

  • Dude first I wanna say you are a very skilled football player..how did you get there? Seriously. Anyway, as much as possible the (not everyday) I try to practice ball control and dribbling, whenever I do the exercises the ball keep flying away. And in a game, I get the ball, first touch, then i try to shoot but I hit it in the wrong place and it goes off target.

Could you please tell me on how to do the keep ups and how to improve my finishing and YES my endurance and stamina.

  • @TheCovola - Practice Practice Practice. You can't expect to be able to do anything the 1st time. If you want to become better quickly you need to practice your finishing and ball control every day. No execuses. Focus on placement rather than power with your shooting. Once you have improved your accuracy you can start to improve your power.

Keep ups try to hit the ball on the bottom with curled toes so the ball spins back towards you. Locked ankles, straight legs, and curled toes

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Thanks for the tips man...but what do you mean by "locked ankles"?

  • i can only get 2 touches only :( lol

  • dude music is too good... epic... name?

  • @ckaivu - Not to sure. Keep searching EPic mUsic.

  • This looks awesome, this is one work out I'll definitely do more than once.

  • @Xaiden666 - Do it everyday!

  • Respond to this video... Do it!

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Could you suggest me a good football - prefer Adidas or Nike ( no money issues )

I am a def and want to try on skills ..pls help

  • Nice Keep Ups, I used to go on a half time for Arsenal FC to do skills to entertain the crows. Check out my videos for Soccer Skills Done During Competetive Matches,

  • @hydedogg2 - Sweet man. Great stuff.

  • this shit is useless on the field next to walter samuel

  • when i do regular keep ups, the ball keeps rolling backwards, bounces too high, or it flies away from me. Any tips? :D

  • @SupaLock - locked ankles and curled toes, backspin is what your after. You want to aim for about knee height. Light on your toes and ready to react. I could give you tips but really it's all about practice. Juggle 10 minutes everyday for the next month then let me know how your skills are!

  • @TheSoccerEssentials well ive been training for months every day like 3 hours but no results, I mean when ever I kick the ball up it goes crazy, where should I juggle on my toes or laces?

  • @AQWraghd99 - both if that makes sense you want to hit the ball with your laces but with curled toes so your toes basically touch the back of the ball. You can start with bounce juggles. Hit it with your right let the ball bounce (stay light on your toes) then hit it with your left foot. Simply try to keep the ball close to you.

  • Hahah love the epic music xD

  • @Ryodisis - Haha ya it can make any video look good.

  • Comment removed

  • i put lots of time in to soccer, and im really trying to focus on control this month, Whats are some tips on the head keep ups, cause i cant seem to get that. thanks!

  • @bastida09 - Make sure your looking straight up at the ceiling. Hit the ball with your forhead to the middle of the ball. Not the top of your head. Make sure your knees are slightly bent and your in an athletic stance. Head the ball and move your feet to make sure your directly under it the next time the ball drops.

  • mini touches are really tough

    pls give some tips

  • @THESHAWNPS - 1) Lock your ankle

    2) Slightly lift your whole leg instead of trying to flick your ankle.

    3) Really focus on being quick on your reactions.

    4) Practice.

Tough technique. Takes time. But very effective in developing delicate "touch" in both feet.

    Hope that helps.

  • I suscribed you bro, your videos are very helpful :D!

    keep 'em coming! thankz!

  • @5kYz3r - No Problem. Thanks for showing the support. I will keep the videos coming!

  • @TheSoccerEssentials i wanna be a pro but i one probaly standing out i got talent but i dont show it and when drible through the how team i will be a ball hugg shall be a ball hug just bee unseen in a football match

  • @Hawker7910 - I appreciate your feedback. You can be just as skillful as me, but it will take tons of practice. The reason my technical skills are better than 98% of the population is simply because I have put in countless hours of practice on my own time. I have lived my life with a ball at my foot and will continue to do so.

Never stop improving. That is the key to success.

  • What do people mean when they say lock your ankle.

  • @400ize 0 1) Lock your ankle

    2) Slightly lift your whole leg instead of trying to flick your ankle.

    3) Really focus on being quick on your reactions.

    4) Practice.

Tough technique. Takes time. But very effective in developing delicate "touch" in both feet.

    Hope that helps.

  • Nice!! Very helpful! Thanks ;D

  • how do you do mini touches? those are impossible

  • @cramerj303 - - 1) Lock your ankle

    2) Slightly lift your whole leg instead of trying to flick your ankle.

    3) Really focus on being quick on your reactions.

  • Hi soccer essentials. Im 21 from fresno ca, and i had my first league match of my career last sunday and i didnt do that great, same day after the match i found these turorials at random. so I did every single 1 of these training videos plus running and fitness and proper diet, for the next week every morning and todays game which was my 2nd cap i did great! Much improved touch and all around game, i even had a good shot a goal. So thank you.

  • @Lvdno1 - That is too cool. Love to hear you found the videos helpful. Keep up with your training and there will be much more good to come in your Football career.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Yea these training videos are great! I'm going to keep up with this and the physical training. I'm looking forward to my third cap. But only thing is, Are there any Drills, Techniques, or Anything to improve your weak foot?

  • @Lvdno1 - Every drill can be used to improve your weak foot. You should always practice with both feet. If you look at every one of my drills I always use both feet. You need to do the same. A one footed player is very limited.

  • i cant even do 5

  • @SonyCamry - Well you have some practice to do. Do this workout every day for the next month. Then tell me what you can do.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Ok ill try, btw i have watched your other videos and i ive been doing some of your excersices - ive already notices differences and imrpovements in my ball control, thanks heaps man! (subbed) and liked

  • great video.thank youc!

  • @DinAlaska - No Problem. Be sure to subscribe to the Channel and check out more videos. Let me know if there is a specific video you would like me to make to help improve your game.

  • do yu think this will help me out

  • @CanuckFan96 - Definitely. But it's all about consistency , you can't do it once and expect to see improvements. Do it everyday and you will see massive improvements in your touch and ball control.

    Keep training.

  • Great video

  • can u make a video on how to improve your balance if possible

  • @nigeldadon9 - Sounds like a great idea. I have a bunch of exercises in mind. Stay posted and I'll have one up in the next month or so.

  • Help plz I have been practicing juggling for like really long time and my record is 83 but now i cant do more than 25 or smth like that. any tips ?

  • @pedepoisslilla - I think your situation is more of a mental one. Your probably getting frustrated because you used to be able to do more. That's totally common, but getting upset about it isn't going to help you at all.

Get back to the basic. Focus on meeting your foot (locked ankle, curled toes) to the center of the ball. You want to get good back spin on the ball so it comes back to you and be light on your toes so you can react to the ball. Hope this helps.

  • wHAT ABOUT low juggle or mino

  • @evanbournehighfly - 1) Lock your ankle

    2) Slightly lift your whole leg instead of trying to flick your ankle.

    3) Really focus on being quick on your reactions.

    4) Practice.

Tough technique. Takes time. But very effective in developing delicate "touch" in both feet.

  • i cant do head keep ups? anyhelp

  • @evanbournehighfly - 1) Concentrate on hitting the ball in the center of your forehead.

    2) Bend your knees and start in an athletic stance.

    3) Look up straight at the ceiling and try to hit the ball in a straight line forward.

    4) Be quick to react if the ball moves side to side, shuffle your feet and get under it.

    5) Practice - you can't expect to be able to do it right away. Keep going.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials helpful and thanks

  • @evanbournehighfly 1) Concentrate on hitting the ball in the center of your forehead.

Keep going.

  • i can do all of that except the head one

  • @KinGGinKProduction - Well that's a good start. Work on the headers. Your goal should be to complete each exercise in succession without dropping the ball for the whole workout. Now that's ball control.

  • O they are coming don't worry about that.

  • Nice u should do more of these

  • Thanks 4 making this video, it shows u like helping people!!! Subbed 2 u :]. U should also make a freestyling tutorial like how to do around the world etc!!
