i live in Poole and work full-time ,and yes it is a beautiful place which i certainly don't take for granted, but it is spoiled by the influx of dole scroungers cluttering the place up and inbred single mums of 18!, because it seems if you aren't paying for it,it doesn't matter ( is this just a coastal phenomena?)

I come from Poole and now live in Portsmouth so all the people who still live in Poole but moan about it should take a reality check, it's still not a bad place to live!!! Hamworthy is not a shit hole compared to places like Somers town and Bucklands in Pompey. I've also had the 'pleasure' of living in SE London too. Don't take things for granted.

I live in Poole and while it has gone down hill with the sudden influx of foreigners and over crowing of scum, I am lucky to live in a town with such history.

i used to live in poole, but then i moved to lincolnshire. i prefer it up here. i agree what ubmilitant said about it is ok fro holidays but when you live there you tend to notice the bad things rather than when you are on holiday you dont.

@ubmilitant What complete garbage! Violent crime has exploded here? They kept that quiet then! Yes there are undesirable areas and undesirable people: LIKE EVERYWHERE! But the vast majority of this area is very pleasant to live in. Canford Heath WAS bad years ago but today it is a good, low crime place to live. Even the likes of Turlin Moor and West howe have improved hugely from their bad old days.

i agree with you that canford heath has got better, but you are buying into the usual media trends, as a resident of turlin moor i can tell you it has only got worse, in 2 years i have personally witnessed 3 stabbings had my car stolen, been jumped, had several houses around me burnt down, been threatened at knife point and other horrible things, everywhere in the country has bad areas thats a fact, poole has nicer areas than most. but it also has terrible areas just like anywhere else

you named west howe turlin moor and canford heath, what about alderney, bourne estate, trinidad estate which technically are one of the most deprived wards in the country, what about old town estate, upton heath estate, waterloo estate etc dont be blind if you had been through the experiences i have and been around the sort of things i have you would have a different view of poole as a whole

@ubmilitant Poole is a beautiful place to live so i have no idea what you don't like about it. Obviously this video is a spoof and designed to show it as ugly but with the beautiful harbour, quay, beaches and Purbecks, you'd be hard pushed to find anywhere with so much to offer.

altho poole harbour, the quay etc are beautiful, poole is surrounded and full of rough unpleasant estates, which i have lived in and around since i moved down here, unfortunetly the council and the media do there best to cover up anything that happens, which as forced a curtain of lies infront of the public. statistically the living quality for 12 out of 18 wards in poole is considered poor and deprived, Hamworthy west, Alderney and newtown are in the 10% most deprived areas in the country
