  • Though I like this movement, 3:42 to 4:20 was my favorite part of it. This particular performance has so much warmth in sound; I like how it slowed down a few times (4:05 to 4:07, 4:09 to 4:11 and 4:14 to 4:16) to make it a bit more dramatic. :)

  • This is one of my favorite violin concerts and a very special one. Yes, many tend to make this piece too grave, but he plays as it should be (in my mind, of course) - bright like a sun beam in darkness, aridity of life (contrasted by the orchestra).

  • Beautiful playing! Gotta love Szeryng!

  • i think it's too slow, but anyway i like it

  • for me, any faster would be too fast for this movement but thats just my stupid opinion

  • @rareviolintreasures No, you're right! it is the slower movement of this entire masterpiece so it has to be as slow as possible but keeping something musicaly acceptable.

It is a very good tempo and maybe too fast ;-) lol

I mean the contrast between each movement has to be important, not too much and nor too little

  • @ianpaice91

I like the tempo. It is tragic. And Szeryng sound amazing as always. Real singing. Fantastic

  • Szeryng has so wonderful tone!Thank you very much!
