Well the masamune is a legendary weapon in final fantasy games and in most final fantasy games the ultimate weapon of a certain character is called masamune.

but sepiroth is also the only one that can weild it perfectly.

Masamune is also given to a sword if it has amazing craftman ship in japan.

If he was a soul reaper his sword would have the same status as the captain commanders sword so just imagine what he could do.

Sephy and Byakuya would be more fitting because they both spam rape in their respective fighting games. Sephiroth spam rapes in Dissidia Final Fantasy and Byakuya spam rapes in Bleach Heat The Soul 3 through 6 (basically ever since bankai forms were brought to the game)
