  • Have a hard time believing this.... I tried to quite done and the wds did not subside even after 57 days.... Couldn't stand it any longer so I went to see a sub doc... Is this really genuine? No wds after a week?

  • @Drwurth There are some post-withdrawal symptoms but on a much milder scale than I'd ever experienced. Smaller follow up doses of iboga can help alleviate even that though. It's not 100% effective but there are many, many testimonials of people helped out by this substance. I won't deny that willpower forms a part of the success of your treatment but there has also been a lot of scientific research done which explains how ibogaine works to block the withdrawal pains.

  • @davidgrahamscott What dose of methadone where you on when you started this ioga treatment?

  • @782Matty I was on about 30mls or so. Its a good amount to cut down to if you are trying this.

  • @davidgrahamscott Did you ever go back to methadone or opiates after your iboga treatment?

  • @782Matty Had a minor hiccup a couple of years ago if I'm honest...had a serious of awful things happen and I went on a binge for a week. Knocked that on the head pretty quick before it turned into a major problem.

  • @davidgrahamscott they say relapse is not a sign of failure, just a part of the process in recovery. I think thats true but there will always be times to use that as an excuse to use. in my opinion, thee most important thing is to never go on another run to were u have to kick again. obviously easier said then done but true.

  • @ods1ODS yes..wise words indeed.

  • @Drwurth I've heard from several people that ibogaine helps soooo much compaiped to quiting cold turkey or wiening themselfs off of methadone, but it illegal in the U.S. (where i am) so i have to go threw withdrawal from 5 years on methadone...the worst part seems to be over for me.. i still have withdrawal symptoms still can't sleep.. but im hoping it will quit soon...

  • dude that's amazing, i've only ever smoked weed but you have for sure put me off anything else seeing what it can do to you.

    kudos

  • what abaut relapsing did u haved or they dont apear after iboga treatment ???i¸m 3 year free but when they came i have terible need

  • @rifetf yES THEY Can come back...the cravings. Ibogaine is referred to as an addiction interrupter. Many stay off for 6 months at least. That can be enough time to start getting your life together. Its not a cure and not 100% efficient.

  • ''Sir Indeed!?'' I am a woman! gave me a chuckle tho. Remember your tv prog, and it was very gd, as you said to your Mum, ''It was not that great, no''- yes, tis great at the beginning, but as years roll by, it does indeed become much more humdrum. What courage you had. More courage than me [at the moment at least] Methadone is a brute to quit- tried in S of France, and just ended up on paregorique and codeine. However, it Can be done, as older friends quit after 30 yrs...Good luck!

  • I have tripped on [strong]Acid while suffering methadone withdrawal[ the early stages] and M'done seemed a hard and mechanical, robotic substance under acid.. but i resumed m'done even while tripping, so for me, acid didn't work, but I watched this film when it aired, and it was Really interesting, even tho I normally avoid ''drug'' programmes. The guy seemed honest and not at all ''up himself'', alas, i still have to quit ''the green meanie''.. after 30 yrs.

  • @Oakleaf700 Thank you sir...I am the man in the film!!

  • I believe really serious that the process of change your mind(of ANY kind, not necessary as a result of using so called "hallucinogens";it could be caused by some special "practices" as well)could be the "breakpoint"in the treatment of addictions and another diseases. If something could help at all,it must definitely change our sick minds and "redirecting" it on another tracks.

  • What's interesting with Iboga is that everyone has very similar hallucinations.

  • that looks soo scary.. Ive always had horrible experience with hallucinogens Id be so scared that id be horrifically sick and not be able to tell what was real and what wasnt.. I give you serious props for going through it!

  • wow u are brave

  • my mother took ibogaine to get off of heroin here in oregon and ibogaine killed her. i never understood how this happened. she didnt know that iboga could killed her.

  • There is Hope for the Hopeless. Reformers Unanimous is a faith-based addictions program. We have 770 chapters across the United States and an 82% success rate. Check our Channel out @Ruinternational

  • I have talked to early LSD researchers who claimed that they had a high success rate. Two of them have passed away, but I can see that if you can learn to navigate your mind away from the discomfort, you stand a chance. LSD is said to "rewire" the brain, but I don't know about that. I can also see where Ibogaine can probably do the similar thing. Good thing the man in the video has pulled it through for several months.

  • Thank you my friend..I am the man in the film and its been a few years since I did that treatment. I am still doing well. Best wishes, David.

  • @davidgrahamscott dude i'm stuck on suboxone...how did u get involved with this treatment and has it worked? i don't want to be on this shit but it's been 3 years now, 2 years of methadone, and 10 years of heroin...can you direct me to something that will help me?! the good old trainspotting and dee dee ramone fantasy is dead and now i'm just a fucking zombie...no fun, no fun...

  • @maciverandy It's like everything man..it ain't 100% effective! But it does have a fair degree of success and really helped me. Maybe you could try it though. It's illegal in US if that's where you are but you could go to treatment centres in Mexico or costa Rica. Just Google ibogaine and you'll find info.

  • i have to say KUDOS to you dude. thats a hell of a lot to go through and you did it with your dignity intact. go get em

  • I have severe OCD ("Pure-O" type). I've read a few reports that for addicts who also have obsessive-compulsive symptoms, Ibogaine treatment seems to also help with their OC tendencies as well as their addiction. Any insight into this?

    Thanks.

  • I kicked the habit after 25 years of which 20 years on methadone... still taking buprenorphine, but busy getting rid of that too.... About methadon, it's worse then heroin, we all know...

    Thanks for you documentairy.

  • I never take drugs in my entire life! But I was judged for an ex-addicted , he told a mutual friend that I was an addicted because my nickname. I don't know about drugs, their complicated names or how they work...what I know now is that ppl judge others from their own conditions.

I am not judging, I just wanted to shere this... who demands compasion should be compasive and respectful of other ppl.

  • Sun is a setting in the west

Angels watching over you and the Lord

Sleep you child take your rest

    Angels watching over you

    All night all day

Oh David boy, the Angels are calling

    Hush, hush, hushshabye birdie David

    (:>

  • That's lovely

  • Crowley describes this horror in -diary of a drug fiend-

Very well done film, I wish I was there with ya, I have been with a few of my friends through this....It sounds vile but real nutmeg can get ya through...

    Well done, and frightening!!!!!!

  • I tried powdered nutmeg many many years ago and had the worst day of my life. Horrible hallucinations and vomiting. I'd say it was much worse than taking ibogaine.

  • I her this drug parades your character defects in front of you in an endless loop begging you to change yourself

  • If you're talking about ibogaine then yes that can happen but not for everyone.

  • it sounds like an intersting treatment as a person who has had trouble with substance abuse in the past...i hear its had reasonable success

  • As a hardcore addict of heroin and synthetic opiates for over 20 years, and having experienced the *true* horrors of withdrawals, all sorts of rehabs and treatments....I really wish you knew how silly that statement sounds. All I need is "real nutmeg" to get me through it? Silly me....I needn't have spent thousands on wasted rehabs after all. I should have gone down the spice market instead.

  • Im sorry about what you have been through!

Pardon my lack of further description, Please dont think that what I said is some easy cure all......

.I mean it helps, but I think the biggest aid is having a human body there to help NO MATTER WHAT!

Someone who is not going to run away when the recovering person gets extremely violent, vomits, deficates themself etc.

I truly feel for you! I myself have never tried heroin or crack etc... But I have seen some wonderful people destroyed by it.

  • Even if this video is awesome, I will remove it from favorites because is pretty disturbing. Pa!

  • This video is awesome, really! But whats he's doing! I use pot, a lot. Marijuana I think is harmless. What David is doing here is heavy staff. I hope ur clean now, think green! Good luck!

  • I'm crying now, is painful to watch, but is a real thing! U r brave n awesome!

  • U are an HERO! Teaching Extremly danger world: DRUGS! But please be careful! U are so cute n' young to die! Please, be n' hero, but live 4 us, the ppl who admire u!

  • hahaha, I have no idea what this means, but cool commen.

  • hi David i hear you there re lingering i am at 14mg each 1mg is like ripping teeth

  • wow couldn't you come down 1mg at a time ? i am on methadone and that looked really freaky, i think id be to scared to do that..... does that stuff linger in your system? what if your still effected by it 7months on?.......

  • Tried coming down like that and it felt like a slow lingering death. I believe it can linger in your system but in a fairly positive way. There's a lot of info on ibogaine if you search for it. Good luck!!

  • have you watched the whole doco? detox or die...its great

  • Can I get more info on the treatment? Name and more?

  • i a family member who did this treatment recently and i am amazed at how well he is doing and i would recommend this to anyone with an addiction- one thing to add about this, my cousin who was in mexico for the treatment met a women from new zeland who had HEP C and after her treatment not only did she now have any withdral at all but she also was tested again for HEP C and the results were negative, talk about a god given second chance in life!

  • That's amazing! I have heard something similar before. Good luck to them all!

  • RE-Wired....yes

im trying to ween, but may need to see the Ibogaine Gods

  • ok ?

  • Raven, your comment is pointless. So is this one. He made a COMMENT.

It is possible to obtain raw ibogaine legally. You can purchase the iboga root dried and powdered. Using some simple solvents can leach out the ibogaine is a relatively pure amount. Calcutaling the dosage would be harder. Anyone whom is interesteed: Google iboga root. maya-ethnobotanicals . com is a good source.

  • OMG, David, I hope you are well

  • bit much for me this documentary but it is well put together

  • amazing.
