i cant stand tossers who say dumb shit like , dont take these drugs without supervision or dont take it to get high . im not a real shaman and niether are any of you . i have never needed or wanted a sitter or some asshole in a white coat taking notes . it can seem like a religious experience but we dont have the language to describe or understand the experience fully . call me a shaman or a drug abuser , i dont give a damn either way .
alex gray i like his art its like my music . i got the same trips as him. its not just a trip its a relief some thing that you learn with visions. a lesson.
i hope 1 day some pepele can say this 2 the world its a relief but the real 1 some peple say they are a new profeet like jezus tey are richt! evry boddy thats spiritual. get messenges there must chance a lot here on earth but no boddy can say it in human words.
with all that extra space where your ego used to be, the universe will gladly supply you with new abilities and such, thats why when people get to certain levels on hallucinogens they are able to do things they couldnt before, because when you get rid of fear and ego[which will happen on drugs sometimesbecause of the letting go and falling into pure love]the universe or god, whatever, opens up its knowledge to you now that you are at a level of trust not to misuse it,you dont need drugs 4 this
losing it can be gaining it,its the ego that makes the difference, lose the ego, thats the ticket, just be everything that is love,if your afraid and identify yourself with anything that seperates you from anything or anyone then you may meet problems.just know that everything negative is not a choice you wish to make, instead focus on the positive, and dont act like your any better than people who still act 'bad'cause, theyr just u being bad so u can know yourself asgood, isnt that nice of them?
I understand that feeling totally. I've done it too. I'm on Paxil now so I can't do drugs. I just hope you're careful Chris. It's a strong drug. I can only say for myself, I've felt close to completely crazy (seriously) on pot. I can't fathom doing anything stronger and not going psycho.
Definitely man. Although I've gone further on to try shrooms and acid a few times, it always astounds me how deep weed can take me - there has been a few times that I have been quite close to losing it completely as well.
Which peculiar considering every time I've tripped on LSD I felt quite calm (even throughout all the confusion), because it feels obviously drug induced, weed on the other hand is less tangible.
Although I know if I was ever to have a bad trip (which is pretty much inevitable) it would break me far worse than weed ever could.
You're right to be cautious, psychedelics are powerful things.
"Although I know if I was ever to have a bad trip (which is pretty much inevitable) it would break me far worse than weed ever could." Why would you even say that? If you deem that it is inevitable, well, then, go figure.Set and Setting? I dont exactly know how you mean a bad trip, ego death a bad thing?Really, thats all a bad trip is, if you dont realize that, it can take all sorts of turns, but if you know that its just ego loss, you'll be more likely to be able to surrender to it with trust.

Yeah, I think you may be right - although its still a fine line to tread - even if you are very careful about set and setting. The more times you trip, it will be more likely that you will stumble across a bad one. There are times when the mind faulters. Ofcourse this might just be my own insecurities speaking :)
I think that whats sad about LSD is that people thinks that its like... some party toy or something i mean, it can be great to party with lsd but in another context it can be such an awesome tool for inner discovery which i think is way more important than any nice party...
I think thats why they think that when you are not having fun at all its a bad trip, but for me there is no bad trip... of course its not always nice to look into the eyes of the demons of one's head.
@Rockdrigo0 i think a lot of people have a hard time with the unfamiliarity of certain states of mind on hallucingenics. there are certainly areas of the mind one explores on a trip that can be interpreted as frightening or unpleasant. there is certainly a degree of fortitude that must exist when one enters such states. i used to have a lot of entity contact on salvia that was, at times, very uncomfortable. its certainly one of those things where fear of lands without maps can overtake the soul
@Rockdrigo0 Yeah I realized after I posted that all I really did was to restate what you said. I didn't add much. But yes, it can be pretty unpleasant, it's a good thing I've had little trouble staying in postive territory with my past few excursions into inner space...
@Rockdrigo0 Oh I completely understand that! Psychedelics can be somewhat unpredictable at times, I'm never entirely sure what to expect when I take one, even if I'm an experienced user of the drug in question. There are so many subconscious factors that effect the trip, and it can be hard to adjust to new states of mind that one has not experienced before, even after many trips. I guess that's part of what makes these plants and chemicals so wonderful!
My problem is not knowing it's only a trip, it's the feelings involved, how they escalate. I'm worried that I will experience some kind of painful psychotic break. I have no idea really but the idea is terrifying to me.
I'm afraid because of the pain involved in a psychotic episode. It's like how when you're a kid and you do dangerous things until you get hurt and then you become more cautious. I like the way you worded that though EddiRamone.
I've only had visions like that off certain large ammounts of LSD. It's like other people say, you don't actually physically see things with your eyes but you slip out into another dimension.
When I first experienced it I thought I had gone completely insane, I knew nothing of the acid culture and Alex Grey. When I saw his video of the chaple of scared mirrors... my jaw completely dropped, I've never seen anything like it. It perfectly captured those visions, really bizarre but heart-warming.
There is a human awakening going on. We are realizing the errors of living in a world with war profiteers, and working for people who charge interest on the use of money. See google video "Money as Debt". Humanity is unshackling its chains, and moving on to more interesting futures.
i read an interview where as i can remember alex talks about seeing the universal mind lattice on acid. I think it was from a book Conversations on the Edge of the Apocalypse. Funny, but last time i did acid i found myself in a Cube, like from the film Cube.
Is that supposed to represent what someone feels like on LSD? 'Cause as far as visuals go, that's WAY off... atleast for me, maybe it's different for everybody.
I wish I could recreate what I see on LSD, it is quite amazing and we have him to thank for such a wonderful drug.
if you really study the visual effects of psychedelics like LSD, you tend to notice that all it is doing is making your line of sight shift side-to-side drastically and sometimes alters how bright/dark a light is. I think all the crazy visuals we get is just our brain being overly imagitive as our view constantly shifts and our perception of light distort.
Don't know why that got marked down... but that sounds somewhat accurate...
I know from taking LSA that you can experience a realm of consciousness similar to LSD without the visuals, and yes, I can tell you right now even without the visuals LSD would normally bring, LSA is incredibly powerful...
I thought for a while I lost my mind, but, it was still overall an incredibly enlightening experience.
haha its a shortcut.

I'd like to know who animates Alex Grey's art for him. I'm sure he has a lot to do with it, not sure if he is a techno-geek himself.
It looks brilliant moving, I'd love to see some high quality videos of it.

I was having the same. I started to having some psychosis after pots, so I had to quit.
With acid is different as long as you know its only trip. Stop smoking, believe me it is gonna be only worst and worst.
