hahaha. This is fantastic. Christians should adopt traditional Arca-virgaha/idol worship. It is far more satisfying and helps with remembrance, association of God.
@paulagloria I would but - and don't take this personally - you have been either scammed or the 'saint' himself is a bit delusional... There is no Jesus mantra or anything vedic about Jesus Christ. Besides, even if there WAS such a connection between your miracle master and Jesus, it is inadvisable to serve him simply because he works 'miracles.' The real masters never display tricks - and, yes, they are tricks even if they're grand. For the sake of your factual advancement, I suggest you ...
@paulagloria well, I never WANTED to sound arrogant... If I have to be completely frank, I'm not sure if my assessment of your master is even half right because - as you say - I have not experienced his works. And you're right too. Whatever I said, I did so by the sound of it... But, hey, best of luck and I hope you find whatever you are seeking.
@paulagloria either stick to Vedic tradition or Christian faith. The vedas state that those who are led by false gurus, incarnations, saints, etc. will also follow them to hell because in spite of noticing all the glaring signs of their falsehood they did not reform their ways or give up their association. Spirituality is of the most importance. Don't you think you should do diligent research before accepting a guru? Do you really hope to achieve God realization from a non-realized soul?
@RanjitMorey are you saying that jesus is a false guru? Knowledge is not really knowledge until you have proven it for yourself. Putting into practice what I learned from this master about Jesus and other things is what convinced me to serve him as you have all of us by leaving rarely heard comments on subjects few venture into seriously
@paulagloria About idols - they are called as Arca Vigrahas. When the devotee invokes the Lord with intense devotional feelings, The Lord enters the idol and makes it spiritual by His inconceivable powers. Such an idol becomes a spiritual manifestation of the Lord. When you fully believe this, and with staunch determination, serve this vigraha(form), you will benefit from factually associating with the Lord. Obviously, the temple should be maintained impeccably pure. No shoes, etc. etc.
@modernguy1 Jesus is NOT mentioned in the vedas. Whatever verses you find are the interpolations of the BRITISH SCHOLARS. JESUS is not in ANY way related to Vedic history. Of course, some advanced yogis may tell you otherwise, but most of the times, the yogis' amplified minds receive visions of God according to a character they choose. That Yogananda saw Sri Krsna shouldn't mean he actually saw Him. Sri Krsna's real spiritual form is visible only after culmination of bhakti sadhana.
@bedp1 why dude? the world is gonna' keep turning weather you like it the way it is or not, don't spend a second of this life being angry at it, it serves no purpose
2.. Thus Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism came to be at least not conflicting religions, and their deities or personages are venerated by all Hindus. Buddha is taken as the ninth avatara of Vishnu in Hinduism. Similar thing can happen with Christ, and Christianity will become one day acceptable by a section of people embracing it, but only as a branch of Hinduism. As science and religion/ spirituality complement to understand and live with nature, such religious absorptions become inevitable.
In India, religious disharmony and disturbances were wisely avoided on the basis of the dictum that depending on the standpoint, the view obtained differs, and standpoints can be one of a set of many. Using this dictum, Hinduism essentially woven around Vedic tenets of universal consciousness and the infinite manifestation of this UC in different forms, absorbed most of the alternative religions.
um... didnt jesus have darker skin? i know most people idealized him as a white man but factually... he was a man with dark skin... so i dont think thats jesus,
There is many written about that time in history, I read "Het evangelie van Isis" from Lauri Fransen lately, which gives you a good inside in it. I guess there has been written books in English too. Tomorrow I'm gonna buy a new book "Van Sophia tot Maria", that is also a book about the "banning" of the Goddess by the God.
My inner knowing sez also that it is like that... ;)
LOL, people have difficult enough time remembering exactly where they were 10 years ago. And yet many of the worlds christians would purport to know Jesus' whereabouts 2000 years ago. The notion is as silly as one religious belief system being more 'right' than another.
The blind will lead the blind, the wisdom of fools will capture many an ear, and ignorance will flourish, until arrogance of mind is destroyed.
Please do not use the word IDOL it is an abusive term used by Xtians to denigrate our arca-vigrahas. Use the term ICOn instead.
