  • Those fags who dont like killing dolphins and whales are the same fags who see no problem killing cows for a big fat juicey cheeseburger. Fuck you. Ive never had whale or dolphine before but Im open to trying it. Like it or not.

  • definetly low rank actors posing as yakuza thugs

  • japón cuenta con una de las cocinas más importantes del mundo

  • LOL... soon, another 15000+ japs will be sushi to the offspring of whales and dolphins who have been sushis to the Japs....

The only difference is, these 15000+ japs will be "cooked" this time BEFORE they sink to the bottom of the Pacific.

Isn't this IRONIC ? or is this just plain KARMA ? Look into your OWN history of the past 200+ years, and you will see the seeds of Karma THERE.

Enjoy ! .... I mean that to the Dolphins & Whales..... next MONTH !!

  • Whale is super delicious. Try it some time, then see if you're for, or against, whaling.

  • if u noticed - NOT ONE FAT JAPANESE PERSON is noticed in this video

canada and usa = pigs lol

  • 8:15 I find that hilarious, a Yakuza who trust government certification? He seemed to miss the point that any rival gang can simply bribe the chef.

  • I think I like those yakuza.

  • Great program.

LOL at Ugly Betty street ad at the and of the video... xD

  • Hahah.... now the whales and dolphins are dining on the corps of Japs in the Pacific, there are at least 15000+ corps to feed the crabs and shrimps then the whales and dolphins will dine on the shrimps & crabs! The cycle completes. Karma !

  • Fuck Japanese, they blame Chinese for eating pandas!!!!!

  • she is flirting at the end.. lol

  • I love it when societies follow a strict hierarchy so there is never any confusion about what to do or who you are, as long as no one controls people's thoughts or opinion. Japan is just a terrific example country, rich in their distinctive culture, not selling themselves to mass immigration, perfect yet evolving through a mix of well proven traditions and "cool" fresh new groundbreaking ideas. And although some claim it to be a sexist nation, women actually seem happier there than in the west.

  • Fauziah Ibrahim has a tattoo on her ankle ?

Hmmm . . . that is why she is able to do these interviews.

  • the bitch is talking to the people like they're idiots...

  • The food halal for the female presenter??

  • @lmatthew no need its fish, also not all of al jazeera's presenter's are muslim

  • mmm whale meat yummy

  • I'm an animal lover!~

    They're delicious. :)

  • @SushiMaster82 lmao

  • saccit is an insane stalker. ive seen many stalkers but this one, my friends is a complete stalker. he's like masking tape. Never knows when to come off and stop being a fucking parasite. It somehow amuses me to think there are folks like this STILL around the world.

  • He's comment is crazy.

  • Osaka jin isn't Japanese.

    saaccitt is insane net stoker.

  • @saaccitt

No the human race itself has an inferiority complex mr know it all.

Dont you feel stupid spending hours trying to analyze me and all?

If you have time for all this bull, get a job, make some offsprings, educate them and do some good for japan. its struggling from its low birthrate and a decrease in the number of children.

  • Yakuza are plentiful in Kobe. Most people believe Osaka is the Yakuza headquarters because of movies like "Black Rain." Wrong....it's Kobe. Also, some bath houses, such as Spa World in Osaka, will not admit you if you have tattoos, because tattoos are associated with Yakuza. Most Yakuza will not mess with you, but don't mess with them. They are plentiful on the street and they all wear black suits.

  • i miss eating bento from 7-11 japan.

  • You don't mess with a guy that had tattoos that big.

  • Is whale meet nasty? I wanna try it >.>

  • @TokyoAro it tastes like an oil slick, its bad. dolphin is worse with higher mercury content

  • I need to try that whale meat restaurant. Hell yeah!

  • yakuza man are HOT!!!!! ,expecially when they show-off their body tattoos SO HOT!!!

  • @vernatron - You won't be thinking that after getting involved with them. They are cold-hearted and will destroy your life with no thought. There's nothing hot about stealing money from old people who don't know better. There's nothing hot about (assuming you're a woman), your husband having a baby with another woman, then forcing YOU to raise the child. There's nothing hot about suddenly having your "friends" or even "family" take out life insurance on you. Or how about your dead pet dog?

  • I wanna chill with these yakuza guys :D

  • Yakuza

  • Are they real yakuzas? I don't think they bother taking an interview for some foreign tv station. Their showing-off-tatoo part is just plain absurd. But nonetheless, I agree that foods in Osaka are pretty good. They look strange to other Japanese people who live outside that area (especially for Easterners).

  • BENTO sure beats lunchables! LOL

  • Does anyone else find it strange that they just casually filmed the Japanese Yakuza walking on the street and dinning.

  • maybe they're just actors ... but if they're not, yes, it's really really strange

  • In Japan the Japanese have a close relationship with the Yakuza. The Japanese government also has an indirect relationship with the Yakuza. This is because Japanese society is tight knit. So this is why you can find the Yakuza easily and they don't mind being filmed. Because everybody knows who they are. You can look at Japanese (and most North Eastern societies) as one big family, so to speak. Group over individual, it's hard to explain to foreigners sorry :)

  • Its not strange, the Yakuza are nice people if you don't piss them off.

Just try not to start a problem with them

  • @WIDR101 no it's not illegal to be part of the yakuza so they show it openly

  • to all those who say "let's not eat whales. eat something else"...all i can say is "hypocritical much"?. seriously. your line of reasoning is stupid as hell. who are you to judge and say that this type of animal is cute and cuddly looking, so therefore it shoudln't be eaten. why exempt the whale and not cows, prawns, shrimps, and pigs? stop the ethnocentric attitude.

  • It might have something to do with the fact that they are slowly going extinct... just an idea.

  • I don' t know if you breed whales but as far as I know no one does while we breed hundreds of thousands of cows, prawns, shrimps and pigs..

  • You're right. It's not like Whales are endangered or anything. Oh wait.

  • LMFAO.

  • rabbits are cute, same with cats, dogs, chickens, chicks.. and people eat them, we eat everything and i dont see why people care so much, i mean.. whales, sure they are going extinct but nobody has checked the whole ocean, who knows, there could be a pack of 1 million living in the bermuda triangle, but no1 goes ther :P

  • @heomak because they are facing extinction

  • @heomak It's because of the environmental impact that whales have against the ecosystem, without them, many fish that are eaten largely by whales, would be in huge abundance.. that would affect the ecosystem. So we need to keep a balance, right now.. their numbers a declining.. I'm not for or against whaling.. I just think.. why bother to get politcal, just leave the extremist and activists to do what they do best (Y)

  • @heomak its not for the ethnocentric attitude :S its ´cus the prawns, cows, shrimps, etc, are easier to breeding that a whale :L they have just 1 or 2 in a really loooong periods so if u make the count, while u eat them they cant have enough time to reproduce themselves, and u end whit an other species :L i love Japanese culture and people but we need to think beyond us...

  • well if Cows started to stop producing and if there are not many numbers of them do u think any one will like u eating beef then?!?!?!!? im pretty sure if there was alot of whales no one would say shit

  • What's wrong with her talking about whale meat? It was a part of traditional Japanese food culture. Stop judging with your American standards. When I go to Japan for my vacation this summer I'm gonna order up a couple extra plates of Willy just cause it's delicious.

  • I'm Japanese. I can't see what she wants to emphasis to viewers the most, Japanese food ?,whale issue ? ppl out of work ?, Yakuza ? She finished the report with good food, right price, served first. These things are nothing to do with jobloss ppl or yakuza.

  • I agree, the report should've been kept mainly on food and the variety offered in Osaka.

  • That's quite right !

  • Ich hab jetzt einen gewaltigen Hunger mmmmjam jam jam!!!

  • 72oz Whale Steak, only in TEXAS!!

  • i think whale meat is a little over the line , no offence to anyone but i think whales should be left alone

  • well i guess you gotta consider peoples culture. im pretty sure indians wanna get all of us for eating cows eh?

  • does it ever say what the journalist's name is? i dont think it did in the first nor second sequel.

  • and no REAL gangster would appear on TV and talk about it, not even John Gotti..

  • i thought gun laws in japan were really tough... I highly doubt someone would set a gun out in the open like that.. Unless its a toy guy :)

  • since when did criminals care about the law

  • Send the girl home, she has no clue what she's talking about.

  • stupid. go home girl.

  • SHe is soooooooo stupid hahahah

  • small portions

  • another TV show from the West trying to take an impression on Japanese society....EPIC FAIL!

  • she has mastered the art of making ppl laugh

  • this woman is so clueless i want to slap her

  • Comment removed

  • Man some major probs with this vid, actually the only 100% truth in this is the homeless problem esp in Tenojii and shisaibashi. BTW Yakuza are nothing more then illegal businessmen not gangsters here. The part of guns is so BS couldn't stop laughing

  • the only place on earth where people won't notice a gun laying around is on a battlefield next to a dead body.

  • this is yakuza real?

  • lol! animals are just food, yeah cats and dogs are just food to me.I would stuff your dog with thyme, mixed herbs and olive oil , eat it and wash it down with soem good French wine. I would ick those fingers clean after that. you think some animals deserve to be protected and others not?how about you stop eating beef, or fine italian ham ? how about you stop eating prawns and fish ?

  • @cannoir

You make a wonderful point! I am a vegan, personally, but I feel that if people are going to eat animals, they don't need to discriminate. An animal is an animal is an animal. Either they're all precious or none of them are.

  • its interesting

and i'm going 2 osaka this febuary and can't wait!!!

  • Not a bad report, but living here, I can tell you that there are few things missing, especially for a show called 'STREET Food'.

The one thing that annoyed me the most, though, was the Chinese or East-Asian music playing, I don't know: one thing I do know, it was not Japanese music... They could have been more authentic.

  • Not much else to be expected from Western Culture, friend.

  • Well, it's not exactly Western Culture, it's from Al-Jazeera, and the reporter is Indian...

  • you are japanese and you know more. but, if you allow me, let me say that i guess you are missing an important point. street food usually has no nationality. street food is diverse and should be. may be they chose the non-japanese music on purpose.

  • Well, I'm not Japanese, and most of the program was at indoor restaurants, not at street stalls.

But my last comment was about the the music, actually; sorry, I didn't make myself clear before.

  • xashaiar,

"street food" in japan, and in particular Osaka, means things like "takoyaki",,,which is unequivocably Japanese, , not "without nationality & diverse" as you seem to suggest.

Vieuxsage is correct. Aljazeera did a terrible job of editing the piece with music that is anything but Japanese.

  • 11:21...they passed the red light....they must've been rollin with the yakuza

  • hmmmmmmmmm i want to try Whale meat

  • I think maybe this is the most boring Street Food episode. There's too many unnecessary animations, but the story is kinda plain...

  • Wow I really want to try this

  • I love Whale Burgers haha

  • Kill more Wales! feed the population. everyoneone benefits

  • "whale meat is something that really belongs to the Japanese culture." oh really? how many Japanese people really eat whale meat? not very many! and besides that, just because it's part of your culture doesn't mean it shouldn't or can't change. culture is changing all the time. let's save the whales and eat something else!

  • Whales eating sardines? O.o????

  • They all look delicious but I'll pass on the Fugu.
