  • Anyone notice how similar Mark Mamil and John DiMaggio's Joker laughs are? Only thing different is that DiMaggio does the gravely cackle and skips out on the malevolent giggle in the beginning.

  • now why couldn't they have got Hammil to do Live ACtion ones more often?...

  • You left out the 1997 "The New Batman Adventures" Joker. Why?

  • @StudPuppetsInc I said in one of the earliest comments that I forgot him.

  • the joker from (the batman animated series)

did hedie when he went in the water..cause ya know what hes like

  • @MrKakuzukun No he didn't. Just watch The Batman VS Dracula :)

  • @CobraCommanderNLD

    oh okay ^^

    thanks

its just he seemed to have died ya know but then again...

  • Cesar Romero - Classic.

    Jack Nicholson - Another classic.

Mark Hamill - Best animated Joker.

Kevin Michael Richardson - Great voice, but horrible design.

Heath Ledger - Best Joker ever.

John DiMaggio - Best animated version since Hamill.

Jeff Bennett - Not bad. Just okay.

  • @alecbama1 Good thing about Jeff Bennett was that he did Johnny Bravo! Other than that, yeah....And John DiMaggio did amazing! Freaking Marcus Fenix!

  • What about the Arkham Asylum Joker?

  • @arbknight12 I think someone didnt ready the discription.

"This video's purpose is to show every incarnation of the Joker that has appeared on television and theaters.

    NOT VIDEO GAMES!!!!"

    ;-)

  • i loved the dcau jokers , my fave =)

  • all jokers are best jokers.

    you cannot compare them.

the 60's joker was just as crazy for them and the 90 joker was to us

  • Best Jokers

    #1 Mark Hamill

    #2 John Dimaggio

    #3 Heath Ledger

  • @SonicTheHedgehog0222 My list is the opposite:

    #1 Heath Ledger

    #2 John Dimaggio

    #3 Mark Hamill

  • 0:42 Robin's legs... Looks like the girls ones :|

  • the brave and the bold one sucks

  • @ScarFan93 Gotta love your generation who can't give constructive critisism why you don't like something.

  • @CobraCommanderNLD it sucks because that incarnation talks down to all the previous incarnations, taking something so dark and twisted as hammill's joker (and micheal richardson's) and lowering its standards to the days of adam west (which were fun but childish). plus he just looks retarded

  • @cartoonviolencerocks See, at least that is somewhat constructive critisism.

To be fair though, they specifically said that they would do a series based on the silly "silver age" to honor it and after that a darker show again.

Also, Hammil's Joker wasn't twisted in the series, only in the animated movies & justice league series.

  • @CobraCommanderNLD The joker was pretty damn crazy and twisted in Batman TAS

  • @caketakeshh He was crazy, loony toons crazy. But he didn't go really "twisted/dark" until the animated movies and his cameos in Static Shock/Justice League.

  • @CobraCommanderNLD That Batman was ever more twisted as he came closer to killing Batman than anyone.

  • @marnerbroman I never said "The Batman" version wasn't twisted. Only commented on an earlier reply that BTAS Joker didn't go completely 100% twisted till the movies/JLU/Static Shock.

  • Mark Hamill was the best Joker voice actor.

  • and my 3rd favorite joker kevin michael richardson

  • my favorite jokers are 1st mark hamill 2nd heath leager

  • For all those who say that Heath Ledger was the best Joker ever, I say he was the best for that incarnation of the role. Who could watch Cesar Romero and not say he was amazing, or Jack Nicholson and be completely chilled by the performance. Warner Brothers and DC have always been extremely adept in choosing the perfect actor for the way the Joker is to be portrayed.

  • The second joker is bloody terrifying.

  • For voices, my favorite is Mark Hamill; but you need to hear some of the other characters he voiced to fully appreciate just how great a voice actor he is. For live action, I like TDK Joker best (Jack Nicholson did an awesome job too, but Heath Ledger's Joker was just better written in my opinion.). All that aside, my all-time favorite Joker is the one in the Arkham Asylum video game (voiced by Mark Hamill); even if you don't want to play the game, just look for a video about it on youtube.

  • Mark Hamill is the best Joker of them all.

R.I.P Heath Ledger. You were awesome in Dark Knight.

  • kyakakakaXD~"what happened? your balls drop off?" pfft love that line~XD

  • Mark

    Jack

    Heath.

  • mark hamill will forever be the joker, nuff said

  • Ceaser-First Actor to ever play Larry-First Voice Actor to do his voice Jack-First Actor to play him the movie Frank-Not much to say Hamill-Best Voice Actor Kevin-First African Voice Actor Heath-Second Actor to play him the movie and best known for his knife gimmick and his " Why so serious?" quote Jeff-First Voice Actor to play him and the red hood Stuart-Not much to say DiMaggio-Second Voice Actor to play him and the red hood and Brent-First Voice Actor to play in DC Multiverse
  • jack-heath-mark-ceaser-michael

  • mark hamill, heath leager, jack nicohlason, ceaser romero are my favorite jokers in that order

  • @MrMegamasterplan2 Totally agree :)

  • here's top ten 1. Mark Hamil DCAU 2. The Batman 3. Heath Ledger 4.Young Justice 5.Brave and Bold 6.Jack Nicholson 7.Under the Red Hood 8.Superfriends 9. Ceasar Romero/60s Joker 10.comics joker
  • THE batman joker is the best... beside mark hamil of course in cartoons

  • My favorites are Mark Hamill and Jeff Bennett.

  • can't spell mark hamil without arkham

  • My favourites: Mark Hamil, Jack Nicholson, the Young Justice one

  • Never seen Birds of prey before.(i remember that is also was an episode of Batman series)

What is the story all about and is it any good?

  • @GoliathAngelus Best to look it up @ wikipedia, because it is too much to say within the youtube character limit.

  • @GoliathAngelus Basically, what if Batman and Cat-Woman hook it up and have a daughter who develops meta-human powers of agility? Then, team her up with a few other super-powered meta-humans including Oracle, the former Bat-Girl.

  • young justice joker was awesome

  • @CurseDaDetective His potrayel was good, but his voice wasn't. In my opinion ofcourse.

  • dont comment bad on this but is that the voice actor for shere khan in the jungle book just guessing

  • @Patrick13z Nope

  • There has been some shocking Jokers

  • Mark Hamil will always be the best animated Joker

  • Hamill's voice was definitely the best, followed by Heath Ledgers but the other voice that I found really good was actually Kevin Richardson's from the cartoon series 'The Batman'. Just my opinion though.

  • @ArmageddonShadow Me too.

  • at 1:22 I didnt hear Adam West I heard "Mayor West"

  • out of all of them i think hamill was the best joker but ledger and the joker from under the red hood were incredible jokers too.

  • @RowlandJosh Joker was voiced by John Dimaggio in that one. He's voiced a lot of characters like Bender, Jake the Dog, etc.

  • i think i saw Harley at 3:05

  • Nice compilation :D

  • The best version 2:42

  • you forgot tnba Joker <3

  • @rcatstott Or you could read one of my earlier comment responces where I already said I forgot that one.

  • @CobraCommanderNLD oh my bad sorry -hands you a cookie- ^^

  • Woah....

  • 1. Mark Hamill

    2. Heath Ledger

    3.John Dimaggio

    4.Jack Nicholson

  • Dude, you forgot the Joker that appeared on Scooby Doo

  • @TheStriker316 Dude, look at one of the earlier comments. The Batman Brave & the Bold episode with Scooby Doo wasn't available when this video was made.

  • @CobraCommanderNLD It wasn't a Batman: Brave & The Bold Episode. It was 2 episodes of Scooby Doo episode where they met Batman & Robin and faced The Joker and Penguin. I have them on DVD.

  • @TheStriker316 Thats because it was the same voice actor/version of the joker as the one in Batman and Robin the boy wonder.

  • @CobraCommanderNLD Oh OK. I didn't realize that

  • 6:18 seriously?

  • is tht mask of the phantom at 2:48

  • @LangYar Yes, yes it is.

  • Mark Hamill will FOREVER be my FAVORITE Joker!!!!

  • Dimaggio is my new favourite. He was just too good in Under The Hood.

  • Cesar Romero - 8/10.

    Larry Storch - 7/10

    Jack Nicholson - 10/10

    Mark Hamill - 10/10

Kevin Richardson - 8/10. He gave him tons of personality, you gotta give him that.

    Heath Ledger - 9/10.

Jeff Bennett - 9/10. Romero version but better

    James Patrick Stuart - 7/10

    Joe Dimaggio - 9/10

  • I am probably not the first one to say this but, you forgot the joker in the tnba. Or was it deliberate because mark hamill did the voice for that one too?

  • @MrKguy97 I said in an earlier comment I forgot it.

  • 1:30 Batman sounds like Mayor Adam West from Family Guy. LMAO

  • @sevlow49 Because it is Adam West........

  • @CobraCommanderNLD Lmfao I didn't know that!

  • @CobraCommanderNLD Has Family guy ever parodied Batman with him? Can't recall.

  • Also what episode did the Joker scene from Batman: The Brave And The Bold come from?

  • @MisteryMitchG Which scene, since I put 2 scenes of that show in it.

  • @CobraCommanderNLD Sorry. I should've been specific. The one where Batman was narrating to Joker of what would happen if Joker didn't have Batman.

  • @MisteryMitchG That would be Season 2 Episode 19 Emperor Joker.

  • @CobraCommanderNLD Cool. Thanks.

  • @CobraCommanderNLD what about the second one

  • Batman's my all-time favorite hero and the Joker needless to say is one of his greatest foes, no matter what the incarnation. Live-action wise, I like Heath Ledger's and Jack Nicholson's Jokers equally. I like Mark Hamill's animated Joker the best without a doubt. Didn't like too much that Joker in The Batman had dreads.

  • my favorite and best all time: Mark Hamill, thumbs up if u agree.

  • Each Joker exists like an idea of their age. The first were silly and full of jokes. Nicholson was the first dark revival, showing off Joker's mean, murderous streak. Hamill cemented Joker's iconic and terrifying laugh. Heath added in the twisted, anti-philosophy to Batman, and Robert's performance is like a new Hamill, also showing off a murderous impulse.

  • Mark Hamill is the best

  • Heath sucks

  • @zokpool Wow somebody did not get the joke.

  • Mark Hamill will ALWAYS be the best Joker.

  • 6:47

Did Batman just shed a tear? That better have been the rain.

  • @Wierdperson31 I wouldn't be suprised, seeing how the modern Batman (not including the live action movies) has Batman with his "no killing rule". In a later scene he feals kinda responsible for the Joker's dead, so.....

  • @CobraCommanderNLD batman has always had a no killing rule and the original batman with adam west was more of a comedy

  • @2sickFORu No, Batman doesn't always have the "no killing rule".

In the very old "Detective Comics" where Batman was introduced, he showed NO REMORSE for killing or maiming criminals.

  • Hamil, Westerson, and Romero had the best laughs overall.

  • heath ledger enough said

  • Is it sad I almost knew all of the lines in this video. . . The birds of prey was a lil bit of a shock, but impressve, nonetheless. Sounded almost like Hamil. But. . . Impressive video. Good work.

  • @blackcajun09 It is Mark Hamill, well at least his voice but not the guy in the costume.

  • Cesar Romero: Meh.

    Larry Richardson: Ew.

    Frank Welker: Ugh.

    Jack Nicholson: Getting better.

Mark Hamill: The Joker that all future incarnations sought to emulate.

K.M. Richardson: A good example of a more physical Joker.

    Heath Ledger: Creepy and well-done.

Jeff Bennett: Halfway between Romero and Hamill.

James Patrick Stuart: Whaaaaaaaaaat. Also, stupid outfit.

John DiMaggio: Mix Ledger's and Hamill's Jokers, and let simmer for 10-15 years. Serve hot with cold-forged crowbar.

  • @JanusHoW I read that Stuart is alternate Joker called the Jester the costume but I do admit the voice is terrible.

  • Comment removed

  • Larry Storch starred on F Troop. James Patrick Stewart was a main character in Andy Richtor Controls the Universe.

  • I cant decide which joker I like better Mark Hamill or Heath Ledger

  • Ledger says do you want to see a magic trick and makes the pencils stand up by itself. I thought that was actually pretty cool, then he makes it disappear, even better.

  • I know the first Jokers are the "original" ones, but I prefer MUCH MORE the Joker of the animated series (Animated DC Universe) except the crappy one of "brave and bold"

  • @puregamer2951 Read the video discription and thy shall know.

  • I gotta say, I love The Batman's Joker. It's really refreshing to see and hear a new take on the character.

  • ba-ba-da-bababa-da-da-da!

  • batman brave and the bold voice actor is shit!

  • Favorite Joker, Live action- Jack Nicholson. I can't pick a favorite animated Joker, but I can tell you my least favorite, the one from "The Batman." Doesn't even look like the Joker. (I thought he looked too much like Blanka from the Street Fighter video game.)

  • @pyrogyra72 But his voice is fucking scary and crazy!

  • @pyrogyra72 Live action I side with Heath, but Jack was funnier.

I completely agree with you on The Batman. Good lord, that is not The Joker.

I go with m Arkham ill. I love his voice as The Joker.

  • Mark hamill best voice jack nicholson best movie joker

  • Best Joker by far is Heath Ledger. No one will ever match him.

I do have to say that Mark Hamill's Joker, particularly in Mask of the Phantasm, is probably an underrated number 2.

  • favorite jokers: "that red hood movie" joker, "the batman" joker, and

    "return of the joker" joker

    which one is yur favorite?

  • And didn't jeff bennet do johnny bravo too?

  • Ledger. Romero. Hamil. No specific order.

  • that last joker (not the vampire joker) had the funniest joke

"be a good boy, finish your homework, and be in bed by 9" c'mon doesn't anyone think that was funny ---- wait wait ok that joke vs deadpools "it's me deadpool i shot you"

comment this if you think thats an awesome idea

  • @CobraCommanderNLD Good point, plus I actually think that he would do the Joker again for at least one more thing, but he has officially announced that Arkham City will be the last time he plays the Joker unless he decides otherwise.

  • In my opinion

Best live action Joker = Heath Ledger

He was funny, crazy and terrifying all at the same time

Best voice actor Joker - Mark Hamill/John DiMaggio

Hamill was hilarious in the series and both hilarious and scary in Arkham Asylum

DiMaggio was very funny and almost felt as scary as Ledger and since Arkham City will be the last time Mark Hamill plays the Joker, I would love it if DiMaggio became the successor to Hamill.

  • @RatchetHeartsZ1 I doubt it will be his last,

    1. He does the Joker voice in the MMORPG "DC Universe", so he must reprise his role when/if an expansion pack is released.

    2. If he doesn't get a lot of work, he would be glad to reprise his role. You have to earn your food, rent etc somehow ;)

  • @CobraCommanderNLD Please do one these videos for shockwave.

  • @prime465 Sure, but I should wait till at least the not so great TF3 is on DVD ;o

Or else people are gonna complain that I forgot that version.

  • @RatchetHeartsZ1 I agree, but I favor Hamill over Ledger overall. If anyone could fill Hamill's shoes it's probably DiMaggio. He still managed to be almost funny in his awful, grotesquely threatening way. Ledger showed Joker in a tragic, frightening light. He was phenomenal in that respect. If he had captured the humor behind the character, the boisterous, giggly face to contrast his dangerous temperament, he'd have been absolutely perfect.

  • I think the perfect version of the Joker would have been the visual character design of Joker from "The Batman" with the voice of Mark Hamill from the 90's animated series

  • Last part: "Batsy...*crunch*... you comple me"

    Me: e.e

  • @ODST4553 It's *lick*, actually.

  • @omniversedefenders my reaction stays the same e.e

  • @ODST4553 Never said anything about that, but okay.

  • @omniversedefenders i ment that its still creepy nether way

  • Heath Ledger and Mark Hamill were the best Jokers. You can't spell Arkham without mARK HAMill.

  • @kellemarine Oh yeah, that's fine.

  • For Larry Storch look up Corporal Agarn from "F Troop.

  • hmm from silly to deadly i like it

  • Markh Hamill, KMR, And Johnny Di. Thats ll I have to say.

  • The Mark Hamil Joker is THE BEST JOKER EVER

  • Ledger=Most disturbing and overall greatest joker, but ya gotta love the hamil voice!!

  • Call me biased- but Hamill forever!

  • @videogamester07 This video was made before the USA release of that episode. And seeing how the UK version was distributed on the internet after the video was created, it wasn't included.

  • 6:48 to 7:11 Joker gets what was coming to him.

  • My Favorite version is the one from "The Batman", as that was the first version I ever saw.

  • Gotta make one for two faceXD

  • Jack and Mark <3

  • 1:30 is dat Adam West? as batman kinda sounds like him

  • @UrfrontLawnfilms: yes...that clip is from the 1985 Super Friends series, "Galactic Guardians". Adam did the voice of Batman on that series as well as 1984's "The Legendary Super Powers Show". He took over the role from Olan Soule who voiced the character from the late '60s through 1983.

  • @UrfrontLawnfilms yes it is

  • Am I the only one who thinks the Joker from second clip sounds quite drunk, particularly toward the end?

  • Comment removed

  • u missed The New Batman/Superman Adventure's Joker. He was my favorite until Under the Red Hood came around. The joker from Batman Beyond and Justice League comes in 3rd :P.

  • @BlackvilleGrave33 Look at my own comment from 3 weeks ago, where I already stated that I forgot that one.

  • you forgot lennie weinrib, John Kassir, corey burton, and Michael richard dobson, and michael kean, no offense.

  • @chango000000 Trollin much? Non of them ever did the Joker.

  • @00:53 ...ys robin got girl shoes on?

  • @Doodlesandsquiggles I guess with the fact that he's not wearing pants i'm not surprised

  • whats the song that starts at 10:12 ? i have been trying to figure that song out for a while now

  • @horseloversomuch950 That's basically the Joker's theme in Batman TAS.

  • 9min in crisis on two earths the guy in that clip is not the joker thats the Jester hes the jokers other earths verson of the joker but the jester was good

  • @X2Cfan2C I know it is the Jester, but it is still an INCARNATION of the Joker.

  • This was damn good, Great job Cobracommander

  • Suddenly remembered that I forgot the New Batman Adventures Joker look....

The one without the red lips and black eyes....

  • Jose Romero, Jack Nicholson, and Heath Ledger all did well as the Joker.

  • @MDthornton83 when did the football manager play the Joker?

  • @anselmburke Don't know.

  • @anselmburke John Dimaggio, Not JOE dimaggio.

  • @MDthornton83 You mean Cesar Romero.
