  • Train not Derail

  • :'(

  • Dam, i though i was going to read about snowplows.

  • You got a vid showing lifting an engine back on the rails?

  • lol

  • @BC1Dan Just like you.

  • @shamgate

I like how you removed your comment.

It's ok son..it's ok. Homosexuality is a natural thing........according to liberals.

You call me a kid, yet you're the one telling Chuck Norris Jokes.

    Ok

  • @BC1Dan because you bothered to respond, son

  • @shamgate

    I love you too

  • @BC1Dan you need to love your shrink...

  • @shamgate

Don't talk like that honey. I thought we made progress after going to our Marriage Counseling classes

  • @BC1Dan You are mos-def GAY. I can't change what you are kid, sorry.

P.S. Tell your mom I'll be over later, after I leave your sister's house.

  • @shamgate

Alright. I'm most definitely down for Three ways. I enjoyed you sucking my dick last time, maybe this time you can lick my balls, yes?

  • @BC1Dan Don't even try it you fruit ball. I'm not a fairy tale like yourself, that's why you always have fever blisters. Go play hide the bananna with your man-friend.

P.S. I'm on my way to your moms house, she better have my money. Damn kid, your sister is a real freak - not complaining tho, she my main moneymaker.

  • @shamgate

    Baby don't be like that

  • Damage report?

  • No, we usually stay ahead of them protecting the x-ings.

  • wow how long does a train conductor have to wait unto he get's help? Like hours or something?

  • PREVENTABLE MISHAP:

Why did someone not clean the flangeways at the grade crossing?

Most likely the ice in the groove between inside of rail and roadway could not be pushed further inward (away from the railhead) because the raised street area is right there.

You would have to ride over that slowly so the wheel flanges would not ride up on the ice. Or manually clear the flangeways.

  • i bet i now the words that was going through his head wen this happend

  • what the hell is big/powerful enough to get a big ass train back on the tracks....god?....maybe god miracled them outta there...man what a pain

  • Too fast?

  • All you have to say is one word, whops.

  • well theres a problem

  • It must have taken a while to get that train back up on the track.

  • where you guys located at? My guess is Colorado. How do you get those derailment messes cleaned up? do you get set them back on the tracks or what?

  • @itube141 no they stay there forever. Nobody likes snow anyways.

  • LOOK AT MY VIDEO Dude's Car Gets Owned By Snowplow !!!

  • @rubiksmagicsolver098 I bet your junk has a lot of shit on it..... brown popsicle.

  • @HelloHansSolo Hush little child. Let the adults watch their videos and go to bed.

  • @Myfaceisonfirenow your a twit

  • That would give plenty of time to write ones name in the snow.

  • Whoops.

  • Mr. Plow, that's my name, that name again is Mr. Plow

  • Comment removed

  • How often does this happen?

  • @tainterlakeisgreen There was to much ice on the x-ing. Has just happened once with the plows we got. Thanks

  • @railroad33 just back it up....

  • did the Driver get into trouble was he following SOP policy/ proceedure?

  • ehehhehhe

  • Did you get out to help the engineers?

  • EPIC FAIL!!!!!

  • ahaha that would be an epic end for a sucked up shift on the rails :D

  • you know the funny thing, google streetview has the plow still sitting there, left to rust away with the green grass...

  • What made it jump the tracks?

    We need some new vids.

  • @thedodger1234 If you look at 7 seconds in, looks like a crossing there. More than likely packed ice in the flange way of the road crossing. Wheel flange rides up, over the rail head and off she comes!

  • listen to that turbo purr

  • damn

  • and the train was still on

  • that gonna take some fixing...

  • As if cleaning up a derailed train wasn't hard enough without the snow.

  • Money loss, what can`t happen !

  • Call AAA.

  • lmao thats what my gma said when she saw this rofl

  • i think this guy was just havein a bad day lol

  • in the Soviet Union (I read that in an old book) they had ATOMIC trains. Yes that's right: trains that were driven by a forceful atomic machine, like in a submarine. It could never fail, and would never derail!

  • @prilstrudel What Book?

  • @TheDoctorL

it's an old East German book (I'm German), it's called "Our world of tomorrow" ("Unsere Welt von morgen"), I bought it for 1 Euro at a flea market.

  • derailing can still happen even though it'satomic powered engine..

  • @Vercinger

let's hope NOT! imagine a nuclear explosion on the way to work.

  • seriously, how can the fact that it's a atomic powered engine prevent it from derailing?

Just because the torque or horsepowers might be greater doesn't mean that a fault in the tracks or something being in the way can prevent it from derailing..

  • hmm, sounds reasonable.

  • I'm glad we came to an understanding :)

  • and I'm glad you answered this way. the other day, when I said to a guy: "Hm, maybe you're right", he called me a pussy and a wimp.

  • Haha.. He must have been a sad and pathetic person :)

  • wtf are you talking about kid....

  • And if it did, you could always go get it back by following the hot glowing tunnel downwards.

  • @Kratax

    LOL

  • What happened?

Why not explain under (more info)?

Flangeways at grade crossing were filled with ice?

Is there no way to lower wedges which would clear the flangeways?

How about sharp flanges to cut ice?

Looks like grade crossings need to be redesigned with flangeways deep all the way to the ties and areas below where ice can be moved.

    Like this: T \---------------/ T

Or have some kind of rubbery material to fill the flangeway which is compressed when the flanges run over it.

  • It looks like they removed more then just snow on that one, it looks like it removed bit of the track.

  • This badass train is clearly the only one who dares to do the hard parts :)

  • @Kruggy0

    you know the old question:

"How does the snow plough driver get to work?"

  • ur right lol

  • llol, they just got it unstuck from a drift now this? LOLL

  • This is why trains need forward snowblowers.

  • Ivé been following the video´s with this train and i must say that i am still impressed. How did they get it back on the tracks?

  • They had to get a couple of sidebooms with tracks, lift the engine and with the locomotive that was on the tracks , they tied a cable to it and slowly pulled it back on the tracks.

  • I think the saddest thing about this ordeal is that big black line across - Santa Fe. Its not ice, its Karma :D

  • Comment removed

  • Rockguitarist, that was a douche response to my post. If you read carefully, I said it was sad that there was a big black line across the ATSF engine and it wasn't the ice that derailed the plow, it was the revenge off SANTA FE lol. Come on dude, I live in NM! ATSF, blue, yellow, warbonnets, kodachrome and the black with Zebra Stripe scheme. My favorite RR of all times. Then the Dirty SP for their unwashed power!

  • i know, lol. i was trying to be extremely random there. and that looks like a shadow across the Santa Fe from the handrail. i wasnt trying to get personal

  • Ok..I read through all the comments (yeah I have nothing better to do.. at 3AM) my question is..Why is it that these engines can't use antifreeze and, therefore, can't be shut down during freezing weather? Does this pertain to all rail engines? I know antifreeze/coolant prevents freezing as well as aids in heat dispersion by preventing boiling under normal circumstances.well..in a car at least.. ;-)

I am basically a noob at the technicalities of railroads and would really like to know.. Thanks!

  • @BrunsAce Can't use antifreeze because unlike car or truck engines which are cast in one solid block, locomotive prime movers are built up from individual piston assemblies. There are so many joints in the water jackets that there's no way to keep the coolant from leaking into the crankcase. Plain water boils off harmlessly, but ethylene glycol destroys bearings.

  • Snow and ice DEFEAT steel as ever(((

  • hahahahahahaha i wi$h awll trainz wuld do thiz

  • Now why would you wish for all trains to derail? Carz (Cars) rule huh? Let's see a car, any car, haul several thousand tons of freight! Guess you like traffic jams and air pollution, because there would be ALOT more semi's on the road if it weren't for the rails..More semi's= more accidents as well..( not dissing the truck drivers here..Just the many other idiotic drivers on the road..)

  • um..wow..that reply made no sense at all..do us all a favor, dude..lay off the crack..

  • i know right

  • Comment removed

  • (this is BrunsAce on my other account) Yes I saw that one. Quite impressive! So what does that have to do with this??

  • Comment removed

  • are you sure? then many of the goods you purchase on a regular basis would be 10 times the price.

  • Comment removed

  • snow plow is too light!!!

  • Yah, they should add some more sand/concrete blocks

  • Oh my god, the derailed those nice tunnel motors!

  • They'll be just fine.

  • is it me or does that snow plow look like it has split in two peices

  • ur right it does look like that

  • It is not split in two. It just looks that way.

  • That sucks

  • love your vids. Can you post one of cleaning up a mess like that? Thanks againfor the cool vids.

  • Oh boy!

  • Sooo...how do they clean up that mess?

  • Manbearpig

  • A Shovel

  • Bring in Hulchers. Side boom tractors that lift the units up and move them back on the tracks.

  • hulchers is out there? there yard(or one of there yards i guess) used to be next to ours out here in fontana CA, i thought they just did local stuff.

  • And how exactly do you put it back on the tracks? Ok boys on 3 one two three.....aaaahhhhhh, dang I just shit my pants!

  • Hey I go by that every weekend in Kanarado lol im 13 miles west of there lol

  • o snap

  • ooops

  • ya know, that plow needs to weigh as much as the engine, otehrwise it will just buckle with multiple engines behind it. kinda like pushing a rope

  • wasn't me im always crashing on sims well used to anyway

  • im not cleanin' that up >8P

  • Saw the other video and thought it was a bumpy ride... guess it really was too bumpy...

  • snow plow fail

  • hahahahahahaha

  • I guess this answers my question on your other video.

  • I'm glad you got your answer and thanks for watching.

  • Hope you guys got some good overtime for this derailment.

  • It took us 2 days to get the track opened up again. Not much for O.T. though.

  • oops..

  • that the end of the snowplow they was using?

  • Why is there a Santa Fe and Southern Pacific locomotive, aren't these rival companies now?

  • Companies lease locomotives to each other quite frequently, not an uncommon occurance.

  • These were leased Units to the Kyle Railroad. Thanks

  • Southern Pacific was bought by Union Pacific and Santa Fe was bought by BNSF

    (Burlington Northern Santa Fe)

  • DUDE! that's trippy.

  • Now I have greater respect for heavy machinery. Bet that was a stressful day at work! I would like to thank "railroad33" and all the others who keep this nation running.

  • Thank you for viewing my videos.

  • well, anyone with eyes can see that the plow tipped over... was there a build up of snow on one side causeing an off balance, or was there an obstruction underneath causing the car (plow) to tip?

  • LOl the plow is over 85% obscured by snow......you want a close of up the pile of snow infront of the locomotives? Sombody must have had a rough sleep not being able to see the pile of wreckage...well mostly a pile of snow up close. I live in Canada, i'll send you a snowball to gaze at, I even have an HO scale plow that I can smash with a hammer for you. :)

  • I fix airplanes for a living, sounds like you need a real job instead of critisizing others. sounds like all you have are insults and are incapable of discriminating with real reason. You are a typical dickhead, you answered your own low brow comment with the first 2 words to your reply to me. Now why don't you get off the computer at work... probably a gas station or a mc donalds, and flip those burgers over before they burn.

  • Thanks for your comment, but I guess some Idiots will always be Idiots (pshinspections)!

  • yeah, your right. Its Ignorant to insult someone for no reason, that really pisses me off. He just needed to be put into his place.

  • Yeah, don't listen to him, because this is an excellent video. 5/5 stars for capturing this on video!

  • Duh, looks like the plow hit some snow and it derailed, Idiot!!

  • How do they get em back on track?

  • You get 2 sideboom tractors & lift up on the locomotive. Tie a cable to the locomotive thats still on the tracks and slowly pull the locomotive back on the tracks.

  • i know how much that going to suck trying to get that thing back on the rail..

  • but why is the trainegnine still running?

  • Because they can't shut them down, or they would have to drain all the water out of the engines to prevent them from freezing up. Also, it's too difficult to shut them down, & then try to restart in those conditions if they sat dormant for too long. Basically, they have to stay running due to cost, & timetable concerns.

  • Thanks for posting the comment.

  • Yep.

  • Thanks for answearing.

    This make sence

  • No prob.

  • the other reason why most of EMD and GE engines do have water for the coolant only Cat or EMD H series can able use antifrezze and BTW they hold over 300 gallons of water and they do have cold tempture sensor to dump the water if get colder than 34°F when the engine is off postion. { it kinda pain in the butt to refill the water after it dumped out }

  • Yep. They'll dump out if the valves aren't frozen though. LOL. Pan Am Rail usually leaves the APU's running at a minimum if they need to be shut down for some reason during the colder weather. Otherwise, they're getting drained if they sit too long.

  • Snow 1

    Train 0

  • This was right at the Kansas and Colorado state line next to Interstate 70.

  • Looks like a lot of work to clean up that mess.

  • nicee footy man

  • Who asked you?

  • so this is the train in ur snowplow mp435.5 vid? DOH and just as I thought that train was rippin the snow a new one it goes and derails on me haha

  • EPIC FAIL! how do they get the to the train thats off the tracks with out moveing any of the cars (they cant)...

  • Also, because these engines can't use antifreeze, so they use straight water, which in this weather will freeze quite easily causing major damage to the engine.

  • So what happens when the engine gets turned off overnight. Surely they would freeze then??

  • They don't. Under such conditions they're left idling overnight.

  • So they can be left running for weeks at a time???

  • Probably not--the railroad would want them pulling trains as much as possible. If they had to be idle for that long, they'd be drained of any fluids that could freeze before storing them in such conditions.

  • alot of people showed up, and nice saying madmax678

  • so the driver can keep warm, would you relly want to turn the engine off in -2??

  • is that why the engine is still running?
