now that's the reallll thing...too often I see jazz become as off a page as a Mozart concerto--that also was written to be alive!! not in slow suicide of I'm doing what "it says" but playing what the heart says in response to a few notes (or alot in the famous quote re: Marriage of Figaro..!)
