Acting like god and guns have anything to do with each other is one of the worst things about religion. Basically using it to your advantage for an agenda that god never stood for. Excellent song, but if you do this yourself your a bit pathetic.

@MillerCrosses it was the revolutionary war. one of the complaints cited in the declaration of independence was religious oppression,also known as lack of religious freedom.and i have no agenda. swords and shields? we dont promote their use anymore because they were replaced with something more effective. if there were no guns then im sure swords and shields would be much more popular.

I'm merely talking about the relationship between god and guns, which only exists in the minds of men. And also it's funny how we never learn from our mistakes but we'll inforce remembering the past we get to keep something like guns.

@MillerCrosses this song is not using the bible to promote an agenda. it says you cant take them away. these are 2 freedoms protected under the constitution. i understand your point, but it is misdirected. the song says you cant take our freedoms. and names 2 specifically, but does not use 1 to promote the other. nor does it claim a relationship between the 2, other than the fact that no one can take either away from a free man.

@MrTdawg75 I think it does though, simply by them putting the two together they suggesting that they are related and basically that god would want everyone to have guns. They shouldn't even be mentioned together, guns can only be used to hurt, destroy and kill, the idea of god is used for hope. Except by people who use it for an agenda (and I mean much worse things than this song when I say that don't get me wrong). Also I must add, guns as a human right can be a dangerous idea.

@MrTdawg75 I also must add that the bible says a lot of things, it contradicts itself badly, and to pick and choose what you believe is a human right but one that must be admitted to(I disagree with what it say as about gay people as well). God didn't tell anyone to arm themselves and use him as a reason, the bible was written by men, and anyone who can read knows what god and jesus stood for(Jesus wasn't packing when he visited lepers). Please don't shoot someone in the face for god.

Now muslim extremists will as we've seen time and time again but the Bible never preaches to shoot someone for God. The thing about guns: because our forefathers were armed with guns, they could fight for their belief to worship God when another people said they couldn't and attacked them. I'm glad they had guns and I'm glad the American population does. No one could come here and take us.

I live in Massachusetts and my teacher once said "When you think of the Confederate flag, it mainly means racism", I then cut her off by throwing my hand in the air and she called me to talk and I said "Your not entirely correct, the confederate flag means southern pride and rebellion not necessarily racism.
