It's weird, this film is obviously dated and completely inaccurate in terms of what hacking was (or how hackers were mind you) but it's a film that encapsulates a brief era in technology and pop culture. A pre-digitalism nostalgia that I find so comforting and enjoyable. The soundtrack was just fucking great and the very idea of some underground world of cyber-dwelling hackers with ultra rad aliases that partied at early 90s underground clubs is something I just find quaintly cool.

It's the digital fantasy of every coder, builder, gamer~ some of this was real too, the 90s did have some of the best underground raves and there was a subculture of people both technically intelligent or not who lived their dual lives.
