  • Great video man! I learned a lot from this.

  • THANKS!! This video was a big help!!!!

  • If theres no power feeding through the aftermarket player, which areas would i need to look as i had a look at the fuse and its intact? no current is going through it.

  • I got the same problem my radio doesn't turn on for years then the climate control stays 75 degrees all the time they said it's $600 dollars to fix it... They said I need to buy a new computer attach to the radio I said what the fuck computer attach to a radio" sounds stupid... I'm planning to cut the whole face of it then put touch screen DVD or nav... Need advise pls and thanks

  • Try disconnect the power for the radio or just unplug the battery for couple of minutes, if it did not fix the problem then you need to have your CD Player repaired.

  • @HiTechElectronic is this a sedan or coupe or is the set up the same in both?

  • i get a cd error fo

  • The problem is in your radio and you only need to send your radio for repair not the A/C panel. Please visit our website to get the quote.

  • Hi, My radio and AC controls on the center panel are not working. The radio works if I use the wheel controls. I read online and it seems it's a common issue on 2003/2004 G35's. The integrated board (AC and radio) gets damaged. Do you guys repair the board? If so, then how much?

  • Your CD Changer is broken and wont accept the discs. You need to have it replaced or repaired.

  • Dose anyone know why my g35 won't let me insert a cd?

  • The problem is either the radio or your amplifier. You could send it to us for repair or take it to your local service center.

  • Radio is acting funny, sometimes just static plays for the radio then if I switch to cd it sounds distorted. My car is a real pain the ass. 03 g35

  • Thank you very much man

  • Just charge your battery or get a jump.

  • You do not need to replace either of them. Just have your radio repaired and that would take care of both problems.

  • @HiTechElectronic I cannot move the gear back from Park because it is stuck. Is there any other way I can take off the console? Or the circular plate under the gear? I need to access the shift lock button to try and put the car in reverse/neutral. (Battery has died)

  • @HiTechElectronic my a/c goes full blast with no control and radio doesnt work, so if I replace both of them will the problem be fixed FOR SURE?

  • I don't understand the designers / engineers that built this car... this is excessively complicated and time consuming. The need to take apart so many things just begs for trouble... anyway, nice DIY video.

  • Thank you so much for making a DIY video!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

    I bought my G35 04, with a bad CD player, i use the tape (tape 2 mp3)

but im scared that the unit might give out anyday.

  • takes forever.

  • what oo you do if your cd player is jame & want eject cds. i have a g35 smart car my cigarette lighter is in a different spot. It seems that infinti wants to charge $700 for a replacement radio. saying it cant be repaired. I dont want to spend no money on buying a new radio or installing a differrent one it has to be a way to un jame the cd changer. Infinti made a mistake putting that cd change in the radio ..

  • Hey help I removed my cd player and dropped it of at the shop but as I was driving back the heater turned on full blow. How do I turn it off??

  • A/C can not be controlled if the radio does not function at all or if it has been removed. Normally A/C stays on one setting.

  • Problem is in the CD section of your radio and it can be repaired. If you decide to replace the radio with the after market unit, you need to replace your A/C control with the after market unit as well.

  • QUESTION : I was told that there is a common problem with the radio units for the 04 g35's....the driver side speaker occasionally cuts out and then comes back on. This usually happens in CD mode, rarely in AM/FM mode....have you heard of this problem? A tech told me it is a problem within the radio itself. Would replacing the stock radio with an aftermarket radio fix the issue and will my AC unit still work? Thank you for any information you can provide...Semper Fi

  • @justlooking1115 did u get a answer for this? i was wondering the same thing

  • The problem is the radio but if you want to replace it with an after market radio, then you need to change the A/C control unit as well. The easiest and cheapest way is to have your radio repaired.

  • Comment removed

  • @justlooking1115 : I have the exact same problem...were you able to fix yours?

  • I think I'll take mine to a audio place... I did my Mazda Millenia by myself. It was so easy. With the G takes SO MUCH MORE.

  • great vid man!! keep up the good work and hope you stay busy! thanks!

  • great video now i know what panels not to just yank on. found a new unit on ebay for $50 but if i dont luck out next time hopefully there is no next time ill prob send it out to u guys

  • why dont you take the wheels off your car while you're at it!

  • great video! thanks buddy!

  • The G35 & 350Z have totally different Radio & A/C system.

  • g35 and 350Z all have the same problem with the radio and the AC system, i advice every1 to take the car to an electrician get it fixed from the start even if the AC is still working and radio-cd is not

dnt 4get to get a guaranty paper from ur electrician

  • Wow! did not know I had all that work to look foward too.

  • so after I removed my radio I had to give my car a jump to get it started, not sure what happened... plugged the radio back in and still the same issue , the car will sometimes start but then stall after 2 sec , and then sometimes i have to jump it>>> what happened??? i went and had my battery tested and my battery is still good.. please help???

  • Your radio has nothing to do with your car starting problem. You need to take your car to your mechanic.

  • @HiTechElectronic he deff has an electrical problem check your fuses before taking tit to the mechanic!!

  • @HiTechElectronic Actually it could be. IF you removed the battery, the engine might need to relearn the idle.

BTW, thanks for the vid. I was comfused when i got to the glove box. LOL.

  • Thanks guys, pretty simple and straightforward.

  • Question: I have a "power supply" issue, with no radio working, no control over the AC. (AC is stuck on full blast, ice cold!)

Once the head unit is removed, can the vehicle still be driven? Will the a/c continue to blow on the "stuck" setting? or will the entire climate control system not work until teh radio is reconnected?

    Thanks!

  • You could drive the car without the radio but A/C unit would be stuck on full blast.

  • My CD changer won't eject disc #6. It makes this skipping noise that repeats 4 times, then the noise stops and the screen says CD ERROR FO. I have had many problems with this bose radio, some other problems before this were some of my cd's magically disappearing when all 6 cd slots were loaded with discs. To fix that problem, I simply ejected each disc one by one until I recovered all 6 discs. Another problem I had was the cd player freezing on track 7. Now my cd won't come out. Any suggestions?

  • You need to have your CD changer repaired. If you could not find any service center locally then you could ship it to us for repair.

  • OMG. Thats a lot of work for something simple, Fucck That.

  • I had CD problems myself on my 04 G Coupe where the CD gets stuck, all i did to fix this problem was held down the Eject button for under a min and the CD came out, happen to me twice and worked for me both times. I was having the same error message just like everyone else, try holding down the Eject button for a while see if it works for you like it did for me.

  • I Have an 04 G35 Sedan And I Just bought A Pioneer Double din unit And i understand that as soon as i Take out my Stock stereo the A/C Controller Will not work I also but the Metra Stereo Kit But i do not like the Buttons it comes with it looks to Ghetto So i was thinking Can i Just take the Buttons of the AC not the Controller out of my Stock sterio and add them to my Metra Kit Im Just trying to Save Money Cause the JDM Kit Coast 400 and The Ac Controller is 140 Please rite back ASAP And Thanks

  • As far as I know they are different design and won't fit.

  • Buttons won't fit.

  • So whatever i said is possible right?

changing the dash kit and aftermarket radio will fix the ac/stereo freeze problem.

Thanks again for your professional advice.

I am going to use your video to remove the factory stereo.

  • That is right.

  • Look at

997604 - METRA 99-7604 Recessed DIN Mount Silver

I think it does retain the functionality of the ac.

  • That will do it but not just replacing the radio.

  • if you say I would need to buy a new stock radio or get mine fixed means the problem is with the radio so why won't installing a new radio fix the problem ?

  • After market radios do not work with your A/C panel. Only Stock radio would do that.

  • I have a 2003 G35 coupe, intermittently the ac/stereo freezes where the ac blows at full speed and stereo wont stop at high volume no matter what i do.

Do you think that if i put an aftermarket headunit, it fixes the problem?

  • Installing after market radio won't solve the problem. You need to buy a new original radio or have yours fixed.

  • hello any way you can do a vid on a mercedes c class 2002 up

  • In the near future. Thanks,
