Quite a few of them, the reason being cause it works best that way. Other places that support lifeforms, I'm sure evolution would favor the same. If these aren't being created by some outside force, then we are looking at the work of some of the greatest artists that have ever lived. And not one of big 'genuine" ones are being signed, spoken for, or profited from. Who are these people? And what is the purpose behind 30 years+ of constant pattern making all over the world? It's impossible for humans to make many of them. If you read up on the subject you will find examples if such. Circles that were enormous and intricate made on a night where it rained heavily the preceding day and the simple effort of a reporter, a cameraman, and the land owner, left a muddy trail, sinking over their ankles in mud. The cameraman recorded this and also panned back on the path they were traveling through the rapeseed that was a muddy trampled mess.
I thought that too, until i researched ancient monilithic structures and found that all of use the number "pi" as their basis for their locations on the globe and their measurements. You have to ask: do you really trust the information you've been shown, or has your desires interfered with the information? Humans are fully capable of misinterpreting our objective perspectives of reality, and being convinced of experiencing things which are an illusion. This is why, in science, we have tons of rigorous, recorded methods of measurement, and then excessive scrutiny from peer professionals.
Also, I'll tell you a little bit about science and the experimental method. A key aspect is how we interfere with measurements. There's two things about us that's important: first, we can think; second, we're physical beings. The former is important in this particular discussion, and the latter is lesser so and has more to do with quantum mechanics and the uncertainty principle. We can think, which means we can be biased.
I suppose it's the same way the average person who knows nothing about computers thinks about the internet. Unfortunately for conspiracy theorists, the amount of effort and brilliance into the science and engineering that went into the internet has been properly recorded. That's because the point of the internet wasn't to deceive people. Funnily enough, I rather think that's the point of people making crop circles.
How in the world would aliens know the english language, its intricate nature (I mean, even we don't understand it really), and also know what binary we use to make the letters in the alphabet? It would be more likely that aliens coded the binary in their own language, but then we wouldn't have been able to decode it all. So, it's highly likely this was made by a human. Clearly, binary is mysterious to people who don't know binary, so they think… oooo it's mystical.
Next, the message in the crop. First, you have to trust whoever made claim it's actually in binary, how did they know that? You have to also trust the person who decoded this binary message, which you haven't provided any evidence to back up. Next, it's in binary. How did the aliens code the binary? If you're talking about language, are you claiming the binary strings have been coded into the human alphabet, and then stringed together into the english language?
The scientists must have established this was a growth, and not a kind of break. You must also guarantee it came from the crop circle sight, which I don't see any record of. Next, why can't their be a scientific explanation of it? For example, after you break a certain breed of straw, it can build such a growth on it. I see no evidence of aliens here at all…
You can't trust people who want to believe, you need unbiased science. At the very least, it is equal to claim you buy it, or not. I find it hard to believe we have unbiased evidence here…
As for the bent straw with a growth, what's your point? First off, you make no scientific analysis of the picture. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and say you're basing your claims off of someone else's scientific analysis.
Second, you have one guy making a claim. That's one measurement. To gain statistical certainty, you need to do many, as in hundreds to millions of independent measurements. For example, in astronomy, you take many images of one star to analyze, and in particle physics you can produce millions of particles in fractions of seconds, each to manipulate. Third, it's arguable that the psychology of the measurement makers, in this case, have gotten in the way of their measurements.
There is no statical certainty in anything the videos claim. First, you have to trust this random guy. He could: a) be bullshitting for shits and kicks, b) not bullshitting but confused, c) have gotten bullshitted by the video guy, d) no bullshitting anywhere, etc. There is only one way for it to work, versus tones of ways it won't work. That doesn't mean it can't happen, but experimentally it has no statistical back up.
This crop circles continue to produce because other people are too easy to fool,, that's why others make fun of making these circles, so they can be revered as god-like, Fools!

If you don't think they're hoaxes, research how many "crop circles" have occured in a field that is bearing crop at the time. I highly doubt any. An "unknown cause," alien or whatever, isn't going to conveniently wait until the crop field is out of season and not bearing crops. There is no way humans could create these intricate, precise, huge crop circles in minutes or seconds, as many/most of these have been created. Just study how expulsion cavities are created in many of the stalks that would have required extreme heat to produce, and at nodes partially up the stalks. If someone hoaxes a crop circle they push the stalks entirely down and do not create expulsion cavities, or disturb the groundwater underneath the crop circles, or create residual detectable energies

It's impossible for humans to make many of them. If you read up on the subject you will find examples if such. Circles that were enormous and intricate made on a night where it rained heavily the preceding day and the simple effort of a reporter, a cameraman, and the land owner, left a muddy trail, sinking over their ankles in mud. Second, you have one guy making a claim. That's one measurement. To gain statistical certainty, you need to do many, as in hundreds to millions of independent measurements. For example, in astronomy, you take many images of one star to analyze, and in particle physics you can produce millions of particles in fractions of seconds, each to manipulate. If you don't think they're hoaxes, research how many "crop circles" have occured in a field that is bearing crop at the time. I highly doubt any. An "unknown cause," alien or whatever, isn't going to conveniently wait until the crop field is out of season and not bearing crops. Have you ever seen a crop circle, say in a corn field, and there is downed corn stalks with nice ears of corn laying all over the place? You have to be uneducated to believe in this pseudoscience. There is proof that crop circles are man made, from all the groups that have openly admitted to the public that they create them. They even demonstrated a few crop circles as they were being built. Unless we catch an "Alien" creating a crop circle then all the facts conclude that it's man made. In the end, these crop circles are just humans using the earth as a canvas to create beautiful abstract art.

There is no way humans could create these intricate, precise, huge crop circles in minutes or seconds, as many/most of these have been created. Just study how expulsion cavities are created in many of the stalks that would have required extreme heat to produce, and at nodes partially up the stalks. If someone hoaxes a crop circle they push the stalks entirely down and do not create expulsion cavities, or disturb the groundwater underneath the crop circles, or create residual detectable energies

crop circles are easy. just think of the cornfield like a grid. if you know which stalks to bend and which way to bend them, you can create crop circles like the ones you see in this video. think of it as looking at a piece of paper with dotted lines all across the paper. now erase each dot as desired to create an image within the lines. if your cornfield stalks match the dotted lines on paper, you will know which stalks to bend if each dot and its respective stalk is given a different number.

@my00z I didn't call you simplistic i said your generalisation's are simplisic. I have studied the phenomena for over 20 yrs , visited 100s over the years, majority were man made. This is not the place to come out with the evidence to dissprove a total hoax explanation, if you do some unbiased research on the subject you will find evidence of something that defies explanation. It doesn't require faith, but it does require honesty and an open mind.

@LemonGrassScented You can hire people who do this professionally, they'll put whatever pattern you like onto a field. That's not to say it couldn't be alien, but it is certainly within our ability to make these.
