  • @dfinethy1 do you know the address of how to get there, I've been trying to get up there but haven't been able too

  • i wish there were quarries that big around my house!

  • Omg my ouse is right next to this =O

  • is that the 40 ft or the 60 ft?

  • i been to these cliffs a few times recently and wanna know how high it actually is. we keep hearing from people that the one in this video is 90 and the one across the pond from it with the point is 110. but they r guarenteed wrong, do u have any idea?

  • was just there today for the life gaurd it was sick

  • @5555danman describe "life guard," as it might be relevant knowledge. Private Message please, your privacy is valued.

  • that guard at steel derick needs to be shot.

  • So the dude who owns Parker's pit almost shot us today, and at almost 9 PM the darn guard was STILL on duty in Steel Derrick and won't let us near the water but we hit up klondike, the 60, 40 and rope swings and some other quarries. Mad fun

  • you guys gotta get up to sebago lake in maine.....75-80 foot jump

  • @dougone79 right across from where they re jumpin is an 85ft jump

  • What are the real risks of getting busted? do you know of any other "legal" quarries in Rockport? We got kicked out of Steel Derrick:-(

  • @sihamb1 If you got kicked out yesterday (7/25) I saw that happen. Three cruisers, about 6 kids, and one wasted 45min drive for me. There are no "legal" quarries to jump, because they are all on state owned property, typically with posted "NO TRESPASSING" signs. Some state parks have them, but it is just as risky.

    Jump at your own risk!

  • @dfinethy1 the quarry in westford is now on some conservation land and you can go to it, i go there all the time and never got in trouble. The cops go to the school parking lot at around 4 to give tickets out to the cars but you can find other places to park

  • Hi would you help me?

Im investigating a house that was burned in Gloucester Masachussets in 1971

It was situated on Old Salems Road, behind a natural park or something like that.

Can you tell me if it was there really, because I

havent seen any photos of it on internet.

  • @ dfinethy1 hey, we're trying to figure out directions to this place from Boston. . .how do you get there?

  • You're ALL under arrest :)

  • is that big pit? I used to jump that one as a kid, been a long, long time though...

  • is tht steelderek?

  • I've been there several times. We made friends with one of the kids of the people who own the house you have to cut thru. He said we could use it as long as we didn't make a mess. One time we went and there were four naked old people swimming. Was pretty gross. We didn't wait around to see them get out.

  • Confirmed. Water is brown as all hell now. We opted to go to the rope swing nearby instead. I'll post a vid as soon as I get un-lazy and make one.

  • hell yea disgusting my arms looked red in the water how long ago did u make this video?? the rope swing part is getting dirty and it smells its too bad theres so many ppl that go now and they trash the place

  • Usually West Gloucester backwoods-types who drink Bud Light, unfortunately. Used to be such an awesome place to go hang out in the summah.

  • I have a place at the Heights on 114. How the h..l do I get to this quarry, please?

    Thanks.

    Are you all insane Irish?

  • Google it.

Look for the Klondike Reservoir in Gloucester. School st. I believe.

  • Thank you.

  • dude what the fuck happened to the water i went a cople weeks ago and the water looks like coffee???!!!!

  • how do i get to this quarry im in rhode island directions would be greatly appricated . . . idk bout the water lookin like coffee but w.e id still like to check it out for myself get back to me if you could thanks pCe

  • Couldn't tell you. I haven't been able to get up there this year. I would predict one of two things though...

    1. The amount of rain we got this summer provided for enough runoff to cloud the water.

    2. Someone recently dumped a car in there.

I could be wrong, but those are all I can think of.

  • @yaknbo

I just noticed that last bit, yes we are all very Irish haha. No gingers though.

  • @yaknbo

  • i never knew this place had a name, we always just called it bigpit

  • man jodie is FIT

  • I'M BRINGING A ZIP-LINE

  • wow thats amazing... is that a lake or ocean or what is it? nice vid tho 5/5

  • It's a granite quarry. they were carved out in the early part of last century. The granite was used all over the country. it was transported out on ships. They are very beautiful and great places to swim. I've been doing them since I was very young.

  • BADASSSSSSS =]

  • I was at the quarry last weekend (Feb 21, 2009) and the entire surface of the water was frozen solid....

  • That's pretty cool. I can't wait to get back there this summer for some more fun. Until then... snow. Gag me.

  • and isnt that in rockpoprt

  • thats sick.

    wat song is that

  • I live in gloucester, there is an 80 ft jump wayyyy down that path

  • Ive been to these quarries numerous times. One Time I brought a nylon 150 foot measuring tape. This cliff is 57 feet and if you swim across the way theres a cliff thats 63 feet. I'll soon post some vids of me throwing back flip 360's off of it.

  • It was measured with a nylon tape that day. 43' and 49'. I think if you swim around the "bend" so to speak, there are some over 50.

  • yay for this day :)

  • are these the same cliffs in milford

  • if im reading rhis correctly u say the cliff is 115ft?.... if so its only 60 ft and maybe 65 ft i jump this about once a week durring ummer

  • Nah, this one is 43' tops. The one at 1:15 is 50'(maybe). The 43' one was measured with a tape, and the shorter one you see the backflip from is roughly 25'. I plan on hitting Rockport before the summer's end for the 60-70ft there. Sorry for the confusion.

  • where is the one in rockport?

  • hey can u send me directions how to get there from pawtucket rhode island

  • hey man have u been to the cliffs in milford?if so are these 1's better?

and can u give me directions from pawt. RI

  • Start: Your House

    End: Hickory St. Gloucester, MA

From what I hear, the ones in milford are pretty haggered. Lots of broken glass and stuff in the water. This one is actually a reservoir for Gloucester, so it is kept pretty clean. I haven't been to milford though.

  • is the one at 115 in the same quarry as the rest

  • Yes, when standing at the first one, it is straight across.

  • i live in gloucester. but idk where is the quarry at 115

  • directions sent in a PM

  • this vid sux lol u noobs

  • (notice your lack of splash noobus maximus...)
