I really need your help. I'm an assassin too but I have given a lot of punts in the archery tree. But, it's not a problem if I decide now to grow my skill of Illusion, are you okay with that?

@Kevin172737 It works on all enemies that do not know you are there, if they hear to cast it they can spot you (get Quiet Casting from Illusion) or if they see you cast it or hear you walking. However as long as your movement is quiet just move around and they will lose you.

illusion is so fun. with invisibility and muffle and nothing invested in sneak, my mage can pretty much run circles around bandits and they wont notice me

for biginers to this build i suggest to lvl illusion 1st cus sneak is kind a hard to lvl when shit sees u so easely, just cast some invis or pasify and sneak ur ass to them, thats how im doin it anyways

You need the perk called Silent roll from Illusion, when you have it, when you are in sneak mode and press sprint button you do the roll.

@Drazzzhar Its actually a perk from sneaking and not illusion. I think you need 50 sneaking to unlock it.

With Darkbrotherhood gloves you 15x more, then you take the perk from sneak that makes daggers do 15x more damage. So 15x2 = 30x damage with sneak attacks on daggers.

@Drazzzhar Do you have any tips on earlier stealth class? Seems even when I back stab with a dagger it doesn't kill them. On harder bosses i try to widdle them down with the bow but they heal back up or come and instantly kill me lol. I'm level 10 and having a real tough time on master difficulty.

If you play master from the start, you need to get illusion to 75 and get Invisibility spell, or atleast illusion spell Muffle, get dark brotherhood gear and maybe do quest to get Mehrunes Razor its a good dagger. I suggest you go vampire to get 25% better sneaking and 25% less Illusion spell cost.

I love using Dual Daggers and rolling about, Jumping off buildings like Neo and slicing peoples heads off after a sneak attack criticial and using assassins blade! I wish I had a camera to film my gameplay. :( What level are you on? I'm on Lv 36. I wish I had more time to play it. I've played for 15 hours.

Thanks for the comment! I play a Nord, but it doesn't matter what race you play because races only have some certain skills better in the beginning of the game. You don't really need to spend points in Lockpicking, it is ridiculously easy in this game, because you can pick a master lock with any lockpick level. Are you on console or pc?

Because if are on pc you can use Fraps to record your gameplay.

@Drazzzhar Yeah, I second that. My dark elf got some bonus to his sneak and bow skill.But not a whole lot, I started a new file and created an Imperial. Sneak is ridicously easy to level up in Skyrim. They made it just like fallout but without the skill handicap; your free to try your fancy on any glorious skill lock. I have taken no perks for lockpicking and I'm on level 35 with my Imperial, my LP skill is at 73. My sneak is at 82 with only Silent Roll, Ass's blade and backstab.

Dude! Badass video! What race are you? I'm a sneak Dark Elf theif. My major skills are; Sneak, Lockpick, One-Handed, Archery, Smithing and enchanting. I love the stealth gameplay in this game! I loved sneaking in Oblivion, but I wasn't too fond about the lighting and darkness in the game. Especially in the plains of Oblivion.

@hellwolf882 Hmm actually the smoke effect comes from Sneak perk "Shadow Warrior". here's what it does. "Crouching stops combat for a moment and forces distant opponents to search for a target" Sorry for the mix up.

@Glord1118 yeah he is surpossedly using invis even tho i dont see the animation and he doesnt loose magicka sometimes, and why would he even take the nightingale invis if he has the spell... it all makes me very suspicious

Well I use the Nightingale stealth ability because I run out of magicka pretty fast. Now I have full Dragonscale armor enchanted with 100% Illusion spells cost reduced, so I can always use Invisibility or any other Illusion spell.

Aaah, thats because I have Shadow cloak of the nocturnal on, everytime I crouch I get invisibility, its a Power you can use once per day and it lasts for 2minutes ingame. You can see i put it on at 0:56.

I play a Nord (doesn't really matter what race you play) Firstly i took Assassin's Blade perk from Sneak path which makes your sneak attacks do 15x more damage, and I also got dark brotherhood cloves that doubles backstab damage, so those 2 combined its 30x more damage. The spell i use is called "Invisibility" from Illusion, you need illusion level 75 to buy it. Finally the roll is a perk called Silent Roll from Sneak path.

@Drazzzhar Ahh alright. That's pretty amazing that you can do this on Master. Also, I was a really good assassin in Oblivion but I never got into Illusion which I felt was right for the stealth classes. Any tips on how you can use illusion in your battles?

Haha in Oblivion I had enchanted armor with 100% Invisibility so I didn't use Illusion back then :P Hmm well before you go in to combat use Invisibility, sneak up and 1 shot the enemy, use Invisibility again, go to 2nd target rince and repeat till they are all dead. Sometimes when I get spotted and many enemies come together, I use the shout called Become Etheral, that makes me immune to damage for short period of time, so I can fall back and stealth again.

@Drazzzhar Haha I did the same in Oblivion. But yeah, how did you get up to 75 illusion in the first place? Cause I've seen people just spam 'Muffle' all the way up to some high levels. If there's not an easier or more fun way then I might just do that.
