    You are correct. This video IS teaching the spanish spoken in Spain, which is the pure, neutral "Mother Tongue". When you learn spanish this way (neutral) you can talk to, and be understood by spanish speaking people in all countries. The variations and different dialects can be figured out quickly.

  • Creo que esas forma de enseñar el idioma es dificil, soy de México y es mas facil y practico decir son las tres quince que de, pasa un cuarto de las de tres, eso viejo ya, obsoleto

  • the spanish talked in mexico is not the same talked in spain. there are some differences, maybe "menos" it's a "spain spanish" feature only

  • Correct...In spain the "vosotros" is widely used but it is rare in most other hispanic countries.

  • WE don't use "Menos" in Mexico either!

  • "Menos" is not used on my country (Panama) to express time, instead we use -x minutos "para las" hora-. We say "cinco para las tres", instead "son las tres menos cinco".

    Indeed we have a song "cinco para las doce, el año va a terminar..." We can translate as "5 to 12, a year is about to end"
