Actually a very good game, only problem I had with it was that it was too short and the boss fights were underwhelming. Otherwise it looked great for it's time and was one of the better beat 'em ups I played that wasn't a side scroller. It didn't rip off GoW or Ninja Gaiden because it came out around the same time, it was just well thought out design and so damn satisfying to play. One of Acclaim's best was one of their last.

@midgetking101 wow... yeah its for ps2... it came out like 7 years ago. And the gameplay was great. Maybe you dont remember what games used to look like 7 years ago. But this was pretty good and this is only showing the intro to the game. This is like a tutorial mode before you leave.

why is every gladiator like combos now like dynasty warriors n look so fake.

Colosseum road to freedom is the only one that looks and plays like a gladiator game. plus you can do achiles trademark move:P jump n stab awesom

Well if you're serious, you should look into Colosseum: Road to Freedom.. Most closely portrayed everything.. let you control everything. I've been looking high and low for a new game like that, Perhaps yours will be the first ;)

yea man im dead serious about it because no one has made a good gladiator game. im having trouble deciding how to write out the story and stuff idk if i should focus on one slave and have him be the baddest motehr fucker or have it like a mortal combat style where ur in a colosuem and fighting. let me get ur opionion man some ideas. if u want

@RTR9 lol I never got back to checking my inbox of comments, I think making things even makes a game more fun.. Realistic if you will. I think if I were to pick up a gladiator game where I'm just as good as everyone else (Physically), I wouldn't put it down :o I wish there'd be a game like the old gladiator, but with a lot more movement mechanics such as an actual roll, which could tie in more sick combos (Chopping someone from the ankles anyone?)

You cant customize your character, you just can change weapons, and no you dont fight always in arena, there is a long time where you will fight in heaven and hell or something

@h4lc0njr cant tell you for the other ones but after this you go in coloseum and then when you kill some more :D you go to some place and two kids who wear masks tell you a story and give you a hard very hard test....
