I didn't go outside at all that day, except briefly to take out the trash. The next day, both the Public and Catholic schools were closed (I am an educational assistant), and my eleven-year-old friend Emmett invited me to come over and play.
Man, I remember this day like it was yesturday. All the students stopped school and played games, and you wernt aloud to leave the school unless your parents came so me my brother and my friends brother and sisiters sneeked out a back door, crossed a field but had to wing it cause we couldn't see ANYTHING!
xD dayum i walked to superstore with my dad we had to crawl over the snow it got so deep xD fuck best day ever...i ran outside in a tanktop and sweats lol best day ever! xD but my mom and dad were pissed off xD
OMG, this was my 22nd birthday. And now one ill never forget thanks to this storm. ARGGGGG, well i was mad at the time, but now i got an unforgetable story. And yeah, it was bitchen cold, but i still made it out for celebrations...thanks again to those who made it out! Ill never forget :D
I froze my finger tips in this storm. I ran out of smokes so i decided to walk 6 blocks to the store. Saw my neighbor hung up on a snow bank and froze the tips trying to push him out. after that i continued to the store. my fingers were in major pain so I undid my jacket to warm them under my pits. Bad idea. I couldnt zip my jacket back up. When i got to the store it was closed. I almost started to cry. And I almost dug a hole in the drift to ride out the storm. thought I was gonna die.
they were not working around the clock. the idwyld highway was impassible for a day.....my street has never seen a snow plow. getting out there as soon as the blizzard stops is no good ppl are dead by then, they should have plows out as its falling, so people wernt stranded. the fucking state of california has a better snow removal budget than we do, it comes as a big suprise every year that it actually snows here. our money is insted spent on fuckin river landing bullshit.
hjbit are you seriously saying that? The city had crews working around the clock.
The major roads were being cleared as soon as the snow stopped coming down. Are you just upset your side-street was ignored in favour of busy streets or do you think they should have a snow plow for every street and cleanup should take 15 minutes?
PS. It is terrible to speak of competence while spelling the word 'incompetent' wrong.
i remember that storm some people had to stay at stores overnight and everyone went home from school early and i was so freaked out (the bright side is there was no school the next day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember this! I was scared to death because my dogs were outside, luckily my mo mcame home and let them in. When you walked outside, you could not see a thinmg! It was all white! It was really funny when my dog tried to go outsidee to pee. He ran to the doggy door then boucned back because there was so muc snow it blocked the door!
IT was all good i just did alot of baby maken all day long, now im a father to this day with a very smart cute baby girl.THANKS TO THE 2007 STORM.hope it hits again in a year or two,my baby need some one to hang out with,LMAO
man of course it snows, its not like we live in igloos, canada is a multicultural country, we didnt smash aboriginals heads against rocks because they wer differant like the US did.
lol that storm was awsome. my firend and i went to school in the afternoon that day and wouldnt come in because we were having so much fun and then the teachers got reaslly pissed off at us because we wouldnt listen! lol/ good times.
I was wondering what it would be like to be in a tall building during that storm. I'm surprised you could see the ground and other buildings. When I drove home from school, sometimes I couldn't see a car-length in front of me.

I think the white out would have been worse on the ground because of all the blowing snow. But the wind up here was crazy.

@jeb1985 Hmm.. Im not sure wich is worse... The crazy Winter storms SK has... or the intense rain we've been having lately.
