  • not on netflix unless it is the dvd of

    Wishbone Ash: The Live Broadcasts

  • ADVERTS FUCK OFF

  • one of the best piece,s of guitar work ever

  • Mark, You keep finding some awsome old bands. I rember Wishbone Ash sooo many years ago. Thanks for posting

  • Simply so beautiful..!!

  • fucking great show!!

  • So glad I saw W. ASH,at Reading,UK...in the 70's!!!!!creashonrebel

  • @Mangosunsplash

I wishbone that was me :-)

  • This was the first line-up I ever saw. Mark was perfect for the band. Good vocals and his playing is effortless.

  • Mark Birch on lead guitar.

    Great guitar player.

  • I was there

  • perfectly live gig of this song. this is the best constellation of ash, ever

  • Really good stuff.

  • Who's the guy playing guitar with Andy P. there.

I can't believe my ears, that's just so wonderfull what he is playing.

Wishbone Ash for sure one of the best bands of Rock history.......

  • The best music never gets to the top of the pile.

    Argus = masterpiece.

  • @doirevomba Argus has always been my all time favorite LP.

  • What Sabbath and ACDC could never do in a million years. Write a melody. W A forever.

  • @donnybrooklads lol, black sabbath has just as much melody as wishbone ash you dumbass. ac/dc is a great band as well. just because wishbone ash is also a great band, yet didnt attain as much fame as other bands dont mean the famous bands are better or worse. It just means they're more famous. stop measuring a bands worth based on their fame or lack thereof, and rather measure a bands worth on whether or not you like the god damned music they make. jesus piss

  • @Skjoldvall

sounds like you need to get your empty skull fixed from the head banging you wanker. You wouldn't know a melody if it got reamed up your smelly hairy ass where your brains are ya tool

  • @donnybrooklads aww the look at the little baby. angry because someone called him a dumbass when he was being one. grow up kid its gonna happen now and then might as well get used to it. ive a feeling youre gonna be a dumbass more often than others, though

  • @Skjoldvall You still wanking away in your mom's basement listening to low grade teeny rock. Nothing better to do that fart around on your computer all day. A lazy lout of the lowest order what you are. Next time you point your ugly gob in someone's direction be prepared for some headbutts you cowardly lowlife weasel. Back to your Aerosmith high school anthem shite

  • @donnybrooklads ahahahahhha

  • @donnybrooklads what on earth are you getting so anti black sabbath for? they were a completely different band, as are aerosmith for that matter. i love all these bands.

  • @Skjoldvall I love B.Sabbath...hOWEVER:WISHBONE ASH were Fu'in MILES AHEAD of them, they were an 'Enigma' ...and totally underrated!!!!!!Juist listen to 'ARGUS' :it knocks 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbbath to 'pieces'......(ALSO dude :IO've seen BOTH of these bands 'LIVE'!!!!XXXXCreashonrebel

    ..

  • @Skjoldvall I did see BOTH of these bands 'LIVE'....did you????!!!!!If n ot :YOU AIN'T GOT NO 'Measuring Stick'!!!!!!Get it lil' bro'?!XXXXAll the best....Creashonrebel...

  • love the simple solo,so right

  • very very very goood !

  • One of most melodic solos in sixty years of Rock & Roll.

  • very fkn cool

  • KICK ASS! WAH!

  • Got so stoned to these guys years ago and just while watching this had a small flashback....better get some gear

  • Absolute Eargasm!

  • May i say it's just an honor to respond highly to these great musian song writers; thank you.

  • very cool

  • Guitarist name?

  • @vertiz95 I don't know, but he's sexy :P

  • amazing

  • Im searching a song from Wishbone Ash, in which there is somewhat like an electronic voice imitating the sound of the guitar.

Someone know which song i mean?

  • @BesorgterSimsSpieler Insomnia?

  • @fletchers4

Someone finally gave me the tip: It was Rest in Peace.

But thank you anyway for your help. :)

  • the song you are looking for is 'Vas Dis'. It was orginaly released on the "Pilgrimage" CD and later on "Live in Geneva. Live in Geneva is one of the best live CDs you will ever hear.

  • @BesorgterSimsSpieler

I think you may be thinking of "Handy" off Wishbone album

  • ok

  • great

  • there is no music now and it sucks!

  • Ce n est pas Led Zep, mais c est excellent aussi....Je crois qu il n y a aucune comparaison possible....

  • @manwithtwobrains Allow me to elaborate. I first heard LZ whan I was a draftee doing AIT at Fort Gordon GA in 1970. A self-proclamed hippy from DC turned me on to Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Ten Years After. Up to then my idea of R&R was Neal Diamond. Nothing can compare to the first time I heard the Lemon Song (or Locomotive breath). Out of the army in 1971, first time I heard Steely Dan, Wishbone Ash, nothing can compare. All great but different. Now I'm 64; nothing has changed.

  • @manwithtwobrains Dude, to me the LZ experience has no comparison. Where the songs originated is irrelevant in that context. Feel free to disagree.

  • I love music....

  • this is so great that musicienne are capabele to make with the fourth such great music

  • 1:32

    :'(

  • mein lied.....der reine wahnsinn...schön das es die gelegenheit gibt...alles noch einmal von früher zuhören grins

  • Like Steely Dan, Led Zeppelin, and a few others Wishbone Ash defines its own genre. The quacky guitar yanked me back to the 70's in a flash.

  • That's it... I'm restringing my bass this evening.

  • Isn't it interesting what male pattern baldness does to your long hair freaky thing ???

  • awesome song

  • Is that Wisefield or Birch on the other guitar?

  • @DarthKalia Guess it must be Laurie Wisefield... always wearing long hair....

  • Comment removed

  • @DarthKalia

    It`s Birch

  • Comment removed

  • Just saw this amazing band for the first time. They don't make em' like this anymore.

  • Fantastic,good old days.

  • Is that Joe Crabtree drumming in this video?

  • THE BEST

  • Britain's number one twin guitar band... I dare to differ. As beautiful as this music is, a certain other band poos over them.

  • Definitely a masterpiece !!! I really miss the 70's ! Nowadays music really left creativity behind ...!

  • @olissime yes you're right mate. but it's the industry that kills creativity and it's upto us to decide what's good and what's bad to show them off. let's go back to the 70's and feel at home, what U reckon ? :-))

  • @olissime There's a nuance between today's music and today's known/popular/appreciated music! You just need to search a little bit and you will find many amazing underground bands. Yes there will never be as good music as in 70's but some like Fleet Foxes, The Clientele, Interpol, Animal Collective, MGMT (and much more) need to be more listened. Music has changed and we can't do nothing about it! Indie Rock is today's genre as Progressive Rock was back in the days.

  • I saw them live at the 19.January 2002 at Olsberg - Gasthof Schlueter - in Germany :) they were loud and very very very well :) just one yard away .... just great ....

  • yeah, just saw them 19. Jan. 2002 in Olsberg (Gasthof Schlueter ), they were great - and very loud ;) and very very well...

  • wishbone ash and camel are one of my all time favorite bands... and both are underrated.

  • THIS IS "AWESOME"!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrMegaFredzeppelin

Almost a progressive rock meets jazz type of sound-sure beats hip/hop!

  • Wow, they sound just as good here as they did in 1970; in fact, the vocals are better. I always thought that the vocals were their weak spot "back in the day."

  • Quem são os musicos nesta formação?

  • Quem o guitarrista da fender vermelha?

  • I was there and, yes, I do have the Tshirt - still! Great night, great band, great album.

  • what a band !!!!

  • i feel like wanna kill myself watching him playing the guitar

  • @intanfreya Hes not that bad.

  • @chanctonbury63 what i meant was...he is really superb...my dad fav band....

  • they were always better live....

saw the Live Dates tour and the There's the Rub... great great tour.......

  • Legęda i jak to mówił Piotr K. "Muzyka trafiająca do najgłębszych sfer uczuciowych człowieka"Mnie w dalszym ciągu powala.

  • Heyyyyyyyyyyy You Tube,,,,,i want to give ten stars!!!! stop the stupid, childish, thumb up shit...

  • great song, just incredible - Mark Birch smokes the blues leads on this - great version of this classic song.

  • great song, just incredible - Mark Birch smokes the blues leads on this - great version of this classic song.

  • ..beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of my favorite groups!!Been 35yrs since I saw them but still enjoy the music and harmony unlike much of the music today.

  • This is a pretty good version of the original... haven't heard it live for 40 YEARS!

  • Brilliant Band - Bath 1980 - Love this and 'The King Will Come'

  • I saw them at an open auditorium. There were about seven thousand of us. They introduced them and this guy I just passed a joint to takes a hit thanks me and walks up on stage. I was getting high with the lead guitarist! I also saw them close a show with Camel and Queen! They closed on "There's the Rub" Damn they were amazing live! One of the best bands I've ever seen.

  • @kookoo22ful best story ever. lol. congrats on that :)

  • Not all bands can play a song from the glory days with anything like the original fire but this sounds awesome, even compared to the original disk

  • Probably my favorite line up, post 'writing days'. Mark Birch is outstanding, both tones and playing.

  • I think it was sad for me and all the followers when Turner left the band, just like it happened to other few superb bands, but what was bad in this case ,unlike other bands, is that WBA where one of the first twin lead guitar bands . Later other bands did the same. But even if i loved the original ASH band, I have to admit that Laurie Wisefield is not a bad choice. Still miss the Powell-Turner duo.

  • WISHBONE ASH RULES !! WE NEED MORE SOUNDS LIKE THESE !!

  • Where`s The Brothers,,???

  • SLAAPVERWEKKEND

  • Thank You This is Great !!!! Takes me back when things were GREAT !!!!!....

  • YES,HE IS GOOD BUT WISHBONE HAS HAD SOME GOO-DUNS DON'T UNDERSELL ANY OF THE GREATS THAT HAVE BEEN THROUGH THESE GATES ,,MY FRIENDS.

  • Mark Birch on stratocaster ..... never ever has wishbone a better leadguitarist !!!!!

  • Seems like there is someone missing from this! Still great post! Thx.

  • Great rendition of that song! They showed they still had it together big time. Always one of my favorite songs from Wishbone Ash. I had their first album that had Phoenix on it and just about wore it out. The were written up as an English version of the Allman Brothers with harmonic leads in their songs.

  • yur mommas breathe smells like turkey'' lol

  • staro nepovratno,klassno

  • Andy Powell is playing the Flying V

  • @aussiepete56 Can i ask u somethink about Andy Powell? Is he relative with Gozy Powel?

  • @Aggelos13PAO

    No. He's no relation :)

  • @aussiepete56 Ah ok :P

  • what a great days

  • Great song. Lame crowd. :(

  • who are these 3?

  • Ted Turner should shove that flying V up his *** this is NOT Wishbone Ash

  • @garrington120 That's Andy Powell.

  • My dad saw me this video!I'm 23 yo and i didn't know this group...thanx dad for the intoduction!

  • Timeclass Classic . We wore out at least 10 eight Tracks of "Argus" w/this song on it. in the seventies. Hope fully I 'll still be Enjoying it in 20 more years as Much as I enjoyed that Remarkable rendition .

  • One of the greatest bands ever! They kick so much ass without having to crank it to 11 or scream like Cookie Monster. Amazing musicianship and brilliant songs!

  • That soft and melodic guitar tune is awesome.

  • DAMN THAT! They had a gig here, and didnt knew about that..

The king came, and I missed him.

  • Interesting Flowing Muzik!

  • great buddy'''

  • GREAT STUFF HERE INDEED!!!!!!!!

  • Somehow doesn't quite have the same edge as when I saw the ORIGINAL Live Dates Tour, think it may be the missing "ORANGE" Amps they used to use back then....

  • They are just awesome.

  • oooooh how nice...take me back to a gentler time...

  • oh how nice...take me back to a gentler time...

  • As much as I love and honor the British Invasion, you guys have to give props to Skynyrd, the "Bros", Little River Band, and Marshall Tucker Band for the awesomeness that is Wishbone Ash!

  • @Iluvbisquits fyi The Little River Band are actually from Australia

  • @aaronmonkeylover OK? Did I say they were from somewhere else?

  • @Iluvbisquits you put The Little River Band in the same group as all of those American Hill Billy Back Woods Boy groups from the 70s. Do the British have to invade to set things straight again?

  • @aaronmonkeylover The British Invasion was a reference to a significant time in the history of American radio(circa 1964-66). Roughly a decade later, American radio was blessed with the (significant) sounds of numerous bands that used harmony guitar as a staple off their sound, Wishbone Ash being one of them. Likewise, if you ever get a chance to meet Eric Clapton, I invite you to tell him that Duane Allman was an "American Hill Billy Back Woods Boy group" guitarist, see what he says...

  • Music from my misspent youth! I remember seeing the Ted Turner/Mart Turner/Andy Powell/Steve Upton version of the band in Vancouver back in 1972 or 1973. The opening act was the Climax Blues Band.

  • Beat that Bert Weedon!

  • they don't play music like they use to....even my kids are saying the same...

  • Out-fucking-standing!

    Thanx, eaglerock.

  • who is the leading guitarist in this one? Amazing...

  • @pawel636

    Laurie Wisefield

  • @captainkona Ted Turner played this on the original recording , and this is not Laurie , it's Mark Birch

  • William Dunker : on t'a reconnu :-))

  • Muito foda!

  • 1:32 epic

  • I miss those days.......

  • @Ellinas2007 You are correct......never again. The best of times..........

  • What happened with their bass player?

  • what a great band, their only problem being that they are perfectionists. which is their problem

  • the music is great,,,

  • @oulamkh no shit guys, free weed, freer woman, good fucking days, a job if you wanted one,, wtf ??

  • I guess old age takes its toll on the vocalchords, but the music still sounds great. Argus is definitely one of the albums I will always cherish.

  • Timeless! Their vocals is as poor as ever but the guitarr playing is great!

  • brilliant

  • First time ive ever heard of this group.and this is odd because its the kind of music i loveanother great band underrated this rocks i cant get enough of this guitar playing...YEA YEA YEAturn this shit up love the way it feels YEA.

    It's been a LONG time!

  • wishbone ash, that is a name i have not heard in a looong time.

  • Andy just keeps on rolling. I hope the band comes to Texas soon.

  • This may not be the original lineup, but it's good enough. Wonderful music done well. Gonna dig out Live Dates and dust off my turntable.

  • great band

  • Argus. One of the best LPs ever!!!

  • @kevinmarkellos yeah its great but the first album is the best in my opinion :-)

  • jeeeze...still kickin

  • The drummer makes it look so easy - and is so right there with just a basic drum kit! A great lineup.

  • who's the dude with the long hair??

  • @familyghosthaunting The Dude is Mark Birch;)

  • @familyghosthaunting Mark Birch

  • I hope they can come to Hong Kong for a concert.

  • IS THIS THE LINEUP OF TODAY ? IF IT IS I WILL FLY ANYWHERE TO SEE THEM WITH THIS SOUND , AND LINEUP. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS BRILLIANT
