  • I got this mask at evike for 9$ and didn't realize it protected so porley, it's a good thing all my friends have under 500fps airsoft guns.

  • @SWATairsoft0 No, it does not cover the ears.

  • that airsoft field lets AEGs fire at 549 fps mab sipers at 500 but not 540

  • Have you tried Airsoft Extreme?

  • I have those same goggles... :)

  • I have this exact mask. Very comfortable, kinda gets in the way when your aiming down through an Optic, so you'd have to hold your gun a bit sideways, have your head tilted more, or just shoulder it and watch your BB stream (if you have visible BB's) lol...I found this mask to have very poor breath ability. When I'm running, I breath pretty heavy so those tiny holes don't do much. I found myself lifting it up in a secure spot to breath. I drilled alot more holes in it which made it a bit better.

  • I bought this the other day everyone freaked out!!! So my new nickname on the field is "Hannibal"

  • ok i have a question ... can you wear the combo the iron face and flak jak googles with a backwards cap and still wear a radio system??

  • @KukyCrazy314

Only with the right com system.

  • So if this work with the Arena FlakJak goggles, will it work with the Anti-Fogging FlakJag Tactical Goggle? Thanks

  • @KillaWafflez

I do not have the new FlakJak goggles to try them together.

  • Hi. ive been looking at lower face protection to protect my teeth mainly..

i carry an assault vest with camel bak attached so i can have a drink, and a british army standard mk6 Kevlar combat helmet with chin strap which is x army

my concerns are can i get a mask that fits my lower half of my face but is comfortable with my chin strap of my helmet? and maybe one that i can lift up or detach to have a drink? wile walking back to the re-spawn point on the field??

    any suggestions? thanks rob x

  • @nursebank

I can get you most of what you are asking for with either the Hakkotsu Iron Face or the Heroshark. The Heroshark is what I wear with a PASGT helmet and ESS goggles. The only thing I can't do is easily lift it up for a drink. The advantage of the Haakotsu Iron Face is that it is really inexpensive.

  • i wanna know if i can use the mesh 2nd gen one with arena flak jaks

  • @MrSuperboss101

I am not familiar with the 2nd gen Hakkotsu Iron Face Mask.

  • Would you happen to know what color this is? Dark earth or OD green?

  • @Meow828282

The one in the video is OD. The also make black.

  • Does anyone know if you can paint this mask? I was looking into getting the black Iron Face and painting it red tiger.

  • @Madman33434

Post a picture on the Dr. Airsosft Facebook page after you do it and let us know how well it works.

  • Any one know if the x500 goggles on red wolf airsoft.com (no spaces obviusly.) will work with this?

  • holy shitake mushrooms that mask and googles are cool!

  • so does it fog goggles

  • @warriorr14

I did not have a problem with fogging. It seems to direct expired air down rather than up toward the goggles.

  • I would custom fit some pieces of that mask with the neoprene one to make it smaller and less blocky and annoying. I'll have to make due with only the neoprene mask since I have other ways of spending money also.. :d

  • where can you get the goggles that are mentioned in the video from?

  • @OliverPearl1995

    Evike.com has them in stock.

  • @auburnmedicalgroup no it isnt i order it 2 weeks ago wasnt in stock

  • Wow impressive! Out of the many many videos I watch and put audio script on, I laugh at it because it fails so badly, this is the only one which worked well, and it was perfect.

  • @LeeIsBoobs

That is because I transcribed it myself.

  • Does this mask cause you to fog up? One more thing, if I got a helmet, mask and goggles would it all fit on my head?

  • @Madraeus

Although there was a lot of moisture gathering on the inside and vent holes of this mask, the goggle fogging was not any worse. It fits fine with goggles and helmets.

  • This is a good mask but it's hard to breath with it on

  • id be quite tempted by this but it looks like a proper cheek weld with your weapon would be impossible.

  • @milkkart

I have reviews on some newer products which fit closer to the face and might be a better inexpensive solution.

  • @milkkart I actually have this half-face mask, and the cheek weld is not perfect, but definitely better than paintball masks.

  • would you be able to wear a mich helmet with this?

  • @chargers705

I have not tried it, but I expect that it should fit.

  • Would this mask be comfortable with standard safety glasses?

  • @gloogur36

Don't wear these with safety glasses. Get a pair of goggles that mroe adequately meets your satisfaction for safety so you don't have to wear the safety glasses.

  • @auburnmedicalgroup Oh okay, So you would recommend the flakjak goggles? Where can you find them?

  • @gloogur36

Several online airsoft retailers carry them. Look into ESS also. The ESS covers the vulnerable space where the nose is exposed in other goggles.

  • @auburnmedicalgroup What is the price? If it is over $30, I'm going to stick with safety glasses.

  • @gloogur36

There is risk of serious eye injury with safety glasses. What if someone catches you from the side, or if you are looking up or down right when you get hit?

  • @gloogur36 yeah they are like 15 buck go to evike!!!

  • with the flakjak goggles. a bb isn't gonna enter the gap right?

  • @AsianAvenueM

We had bb's get through, even with the Hakkotsu. There is a risk to not having a nose cover included on the goggles. That is why I am excited about an upcoming product with connected goggles and mask. I am hoping to get my hands on the new Bioval system available through Shorty USA. There should be a video in the coming months.

  • @auburnmedicalgroup well i plan on getting the flakjak and hakkotsu, is there anyway to help that gap? even with a peace of foam or somthing of that sort?

  • @AsianAvenueM

You already have foam in that space on the inside of the goggle. I recommend something hard over the front of the nose to cover that space. Maybe gluing some plastic across the space between the eyes of the goggles would work.

  • @auburnmedicalgroup wait so even with foam, the bb still goes in ? another peace of foam can't help cover that gap?

  • @AsianAvenueM

You can try adding another pice of foam to see what happens. You could strap the mask and goggles around a 10 to 12 inch diameter log to test it.

  • Can these be used for paintball games? They seem too flexible for .68 caliber paint rounds.

  • @vinspad0

I have not tried it with paintball. I would try it if I had time to play paintball.

  • is that od green?

  • @jboiiGOGO

Yes. It is supposed to be avaialbe in other colors, but I have only seen the olive.

  • That is a nice gun...

  • what is this made of?

  • @bboybiogrind

    flexible plastic

  • how much and where can I find one.

  • @ration10

They sell for about $10. Do a search to find an online retailer.

  • Do you think the Oakley Sand/Wind/Dusk goggles will stretch over the mask?

  • @thangy90

I expect they would. I don't have a pair of the Oakley's to try with the Hakkotsu.

  • Great video! Have you tested the flakjak goggles yet?

  • @TACSIM1

They have been tested. I hope to have the video posted in the next 2 weeks. They did well except for allowing bb's to pass between the nose and the goggle seal at the side of the nose.

  • @auburnmedicalgroup

does wearing the Iron Face prevent this from happening?

  • @TACSIM1

We were still able to get the bb's inside the mask even when using the goggles together with the face mask. Theoretially the mask may deflect the bb's so they may hit lateral to the eye instead of going straight in toward the eye.

  • @auburnmedicalgroup do you have a suggestion to solve this problem?

  • @Raneuvfire

My suggestion for protecting against bb's entering through exposure over the nose is to have a cover over the nose like the Cortex Clip by ESS. Their profile goggle is made with the clip covering the nose just for airsoft.

  • to bad a lot of fields wont let you use masks with out ear covers

  • I like the face mask alot. It does well in cqb and works well with my friends G&P Marine goggles and my Flakjackets, as you have said. The only thing I say that is it's downfall is that there isn't any ear protection. I took a bb to the ear and left it bleeding, I got shot around a few cm above the outer edge of the mask. But, I bought a helmet and it works really well with the mask, flakjacket goggles, and the hlemet on.

  • Nice, good protection and low profile. How is the breath ability?

  • I felt that breathing was unaffected. I like that you don't hear yourself talk and breath like you do with masks which cover the ears. There was quite a bit of condensation both inside the mask and out side of the airholes during gameplay, but it wasn't a problem.
