  • Why do you not lock out your knees? You bounce on your knees instead of locking them out. Any reason as to why? Just asking here.

  • was there an explosion at 0:35

  • Love this exercise!

  • wow not impressed... no offense but i can that

  • @mmaisback wow great. No offense but you sound like a douche who doesn't do anything.

  • @mmaisback That doesn't make sense. "I can that." WTF

  • two overhand grip?

  • this is easy. If you start below your knees than it's a whole lot different story.

  • @m5p944 it's not easy, but it's not meant to be hard or a stand-alone exercise. this is to help the lockout in a DL.

  • what a great way to wreck your back

  • Why are you wearing gloves? it's like wearing white socks with a black suit.

  • rack pulls make me real nervous cos you're using so much weight. impressive stuff here.

  • @IceStoneCold then you were never meant to be strong.

  • @OHWolves1694 wtf? all i meant was you can use a lot more weight than a standard deadlift, so upon first doing them it's far more weight than you're used to so it feels risky, naturally... if you didn't have any fear then you'll either kill yourself or feel no need to fight hard. then you'll NEVER BE strong.

  • @IceStoneCold if you're already strong, then there's no need to fear the weights that you'll use on an overload exercise, like a rack pull, a board press, or pin press. there is no need to fear the weight. yeah i'm afraid of injury, but i'm not afraid of performing the lift. if you're afraid of performing the lift, then you'll never be strong. if they make you nervous, then you're obviously intimidated by the weight. being intimidated by inanimate objects will ensure that you'll never be strong.

  • @OHWolves1694 ok i see where you're coming from, i thought you were just trying to insult me. but no it was actually the injury side of it that i meant though. but my mind set is always to own the weight, and not the other way round. good words though, thanks.

  • @IceStoneCold not a problem helping a fellow lifter.

  • Just curious bro...what's your deadlift at these days? Great pulls by the way...

  • gjdm

  • this involves the neck muscles and the feet

  • just curious, why rack pull instead of deadlift? i know he obv. does deadlift, so why the 1/2 motion? does it help with explosion for a clean or what? can someone help

  • its much more trap involvement.

  • To help with lockout of the deadlifts?

  • try doing ealy heavy 1/2 motions of ANY lift, and they will make your full lift stronger

  • helps with sticking points.

  • u can use a higher weight than ur deadlift and it can be used to mix up your workouts and help break through a deadlift pateau

  • it works the top end range to improve lock out when done properly also as you get closer to competition it teaches you to strain without panicking and giving up on the pull

  • @Jhinsonjr as for bodybuilder we use it to thicken the back, by starting at knee level it takes a lot of the ham and glutes out of the lift.

  • i wouldnt fully agree with that but thanks for the response. Lift Strong.

  • Good power bro...

  • Smokey if you do this right this should work everything from your hamstrings up to your traps on your back side. Your body has to work very hard to hold onto a weight so it doesn't rip your arms out of socket.

  • whst does this work? which muscle?

  • lower back , and a little bit of the legs

  • lower back upper back hamstring glutes

  • Man, I love rack pulls... I have pretty poor mobility so they help me improve over time by dropping the pins a little lower, or using a box etc.

    Mad lifts here... x_X

  • The weight really yanks down hard on the traps and shoulders when doing this exercise.

  • Are you belted up for this? If not, that's insane!

  • Nope, I don't wear a belt.

  • Don't really need a belt for this movement...

  • sure u do; if ur back rounds at all, u'r fucked

  • @tagacebu326 I've always been curious, because I don't wear a belt, does it help you lift more weight? or is it just for safety?

  • @nabhanda keeps your spine in line and keeps everything tight to prevent buckling

  • don't do this at home. It's dangerous for beginners ;)

  • nice
