Someone below was discussing subject of how tone is produced.

i think it is really both. Of course wood , strings and construction are crucial.

But at the same time 'technique' how the strings are set in to motion. the angle, force, where on the string (soundhole vs bridge) nail condition are ESSENTIAL!

I was paying Kottke's Fisherman last night, experimenting with where on the string I was playing.....my wife looked over in disbelief at the tonal variation. Pretty cool thing about nylon!

I would absolutely LOVE to find a tremolo version of this for the piano which has lots of running notes, fast moving internal cadences and deep infusing lower bass chords and richness. All of the piano versions I've heard of this sound quite simplistic and pedantic. The more notes in it the more you can speed up and then slow down. If any ideas where to find something like this please let me know.
