You're an idiot. Most of the problems stem from the infrastructure i.e: The trains hardware, signalling hardware, the tracks, all of this is the goverments responsibility, not Connex's.

While Connex is independently run, it can still only use what it's been given, which are French trains in Australian weather in an ailing system.

It's the responsibility of the Department Of Transport/ Infrastructure to fix it, not Connex's.

Connex just does staff and time tabling. They're a scapegoat.

Maybe there is a booby trap slide door that opens under your feet while your riding the train. When you make to much noise, or don't follow the rules. Connex workers can open up the trap, and you fall through the floor under the train lol.

As for this video I don't see how she could be under the train. All passengers need to be in the train, and this company needs to make sure people are safe. I don't think she crawled under the train for a free ride that would be stupid, but then again people do stupid things such as holding on to the side of the train.

If you look on all city loop subway stations, you'll see that there is an indent between the two tracks so that if someone does fall on the tracks, they can lay flat and the train will pass over their head, with at least a foot to clear. What I dont understand is why they didn't move the train along, and let her out.

You mean the gap between 2 separate sets of rail, or between the rail and platform? Not the gap directly between rail, which would be underneath a train.

If she's stuck down there she may have injuries, if she had a broken leg lying on track she'd lose it when the train moved.

It's not a simple situation, there are a lot of safety precausions involved. There are probably extenuating circumstances that we can't indentify from this video alone.

I find that a little strange and I don't like that rule, but that dude was just doing his job on behalf of Connex. One of the policies for amateur photography now on Metro's website says:

"18. This permit is NOT valid for photography at the City Loop Stations (Parliament, Flagstaff and Melbourne Central). Photography is NOT permitted at these stations."
