Ten best albums (No particular order, just when I think of them):
Tommy, Quadrophenia, Who's Next (Haven't heard the whole thing, but if it's all like Baba O'Riley, wow.), The Wall, Animals, Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of the Moon, The Pros and Cons of Hitchiking (Roger Waters), Radio KAOS (Roger Waters), A Night at the Opera (by Queen)
This is pretty good so far. I've been thinking about buying this album to add my concept albums collection, thanks for placing these clips up,it makes me look forward to it more.
I know a lot of people like buying albums for the sake of the liner notes and the feeling of the ''actual'' thing, but I could give you the songs via email if you want them. Just reply back if you want them...
Just the most Amazing Music, from the greatest band of all time. When I first heard The Who I was blown away. This Music is classical, it is from 1973 and sounds like it was written yesterday!

Even though I don't like Cut My Hair (or I'm One, for that matter) this album is amazing. The instrumentals even manage to sound powerful despite being the same themes as heard in the album.
Most people think so, but I've been doing this kinda thing for a lot of videos, and it has come so easy to me. I copy and paste the lyrics from a few trusted sites, so it makes it a bit easier. It also makes it less time consuming, since I've heard these songs over and over lol, so I know all the lyrics by heart!
Don't forget about Tommy, the world's first Rock Opera. If you've never heard of it, the story follows Tommy Walker a child who's physically disabled.
Yes, Tommy is great album but I think that Quadrophenia is more refined and Pete Townshend is at his best. On guitar and in composition. But Tommy is very innovative for the time.
I wish Pete would do a symphony version of this.

@WormYourHonor64 If you're in for concept albums - drop ANatO and listen to Queen II instead. Or even better - listen to Queen's whole catalog.
CentraCross 1 year ago
@CentraCross It's funny, cause I've been working on that. Queen is great, and I thank you for the suggestion.

@CentraCross I actually own ANATO. Thanks!

@pipco88 in fact, even now we use a weird mix of metric and imperial.
for example, whilst we do use kg for weight, when talking about a person it is still more common to use stone & lbs
similarly, whilst we use metres and cm, we still use feet and inches to talk about a person's height
also, we use miles and not km

my personal album of theirs, without a doubt, by a mega-mile...

Yeah 5 inches is 12.7 centimeters so it would be pretty weird sounding.

It was a style this album was about the war between Mods and Rockers. The Who actually were part of both group at different points in time.

Mod is a gang in England. The main character in this album was a Mod fighting with the Rockers, another gang in England.

I guess Quadrophenia might be the best Who-album. The music is so beautiful. The lyrics as well...
Thanks for making these great videos!

I think all the band members were at their best. I consider this album the pinacle of The Who's musical career

I totally agree with you. Quadrophenia is the best album ever!

I use to think so as well, but I have been listening to Who's Next a lot lately and I'm beginning to waiver. Both great albums though!!!
