i don't know if u already got the crab out. but when i was younger i had the same problem and solved it by taking a small mason jar, removing the central disc lid and replacing it with aluminum foil, then i put a small hole just big enough for the crab, in the foil, then submerged the jar at a slanted angle in the sand with some brine shrimp at the bottom. the crab crawled in at night, slid down the glass side and couldn't get out. Problem solved:)

hey did u upgrade the kighting? cus im not sure if xenia could live under 3 watts per gallon(the original 9 watt light) cus im gettib tht tank tomorrow and i was thinkin of adding low light corals.

HI what kind of equipment and filtreation u are using for your reef tank? how did u make your xenia coral grow so fast? does the filtreation helps for xenia to grow too?

Hey I have 2 Questions For you, cbarella:

1. Can you provide info on that top off system, and what I will need to make it?

2. do you put a sponge pre-filter on the Aquaclear 70 to slow down flow/ prevent inverts and fish from getting sucked up?

nice. it;s tough to keep a fish in a pico-- a little algae on the sides is not bad. tank still looks clean and corals look healthy its a great look.

I would not put a peppermint shrimp in a 3 gallon, so just let the rock crab live his life in your tank :) In case you were wondering your "other coral" is a Sinularia!!! Looks good, have fun!

Excellent. Your Xenia will eventually take over unless you prune it regularly.
