outside of miami vice, no show matched moonlighting's style, music symmetry, or cinematographical excellence...i really think this show captured the yuppie essence of the mid 1980s combined with the witty screwball repartee of 1940s comedies. the 80s to me may have been the last great decade of television
Charles Rocket was a great character actor. I like how he brings out the charming side of Richard Addison as he dances with Maddie and then goes into sleazebag mode when he is chatting with David. Perfect contrast. He will be missed.
Watching Charles Rocket in this scene is so nice. Finally he's getting the respect & recognition he should've had a long time ago.( shame he's no longer with us). I was a teenager when Moonlighting came out in the UK. I only got to watch 3 or 4 eps. Never saw this one. Thanks for putting it up
Yeah...this is one of my favorite eps too. It's one of those scenes where you stop everything and just reminence. You Da Man.
BTW...do you have the esp where Dave tails Maddie's dad with Papa Was A Rolling Stone??? Every time I'd do investigating stuff, I'd play Papa and pretend I'm David. God, if you can do this...you GOD!
OH MY GOD I can't tell you how I freaked out when I found this! "Brother" is one of my three favorite 'Moonlighting' eps easily, and that's one of my FAVORITE scenes. "If Only You Knew" came on the radio in my car last night and I got all nostalgic thinking about this scene. Oh man...this is awesome. Big thanks. Could you possibly post the scene with the rhyming? "What kind of clothes do you suppose would be worn by a man with a mole on his nose?"
It's me, some incarnations later...something made me think about this song, and I never hear it without remembering this scene. And here I am, all emotional again. I miss this show. RIP Chuck...

One of the best moments from the show Moonlighting.

I've never seen this scene with this song before. The version I've seen has "A Natural Women" by Aretha Franklin. This song is so much better.

CHARLES ROCKET! Man - it's nice to see him getting some respect on youtube. I tried to upload some SNL skits with him, but youtube got all pissy...
