@Xynthiaeu lol, yeah, it actually paid off being hacked, I got hacked once too. of course I was frustrated at the time, the douche sold all my gear and my PvP characters were deleted, because their gear couldn't be sold. So there I was, naked n all, I got my gear back some hours later + a shit load of money because the hacker put everything I had in the bank into the AH :P, which wasn't all that bad. I got all my other characters back later, but yeah, why hack someone anyway? Stupid.

@Fallerup When it comes to normal hackers (normal people not gold farmers), They do it because their account suck or because they want to steal your stuff, When it comes to chinese people its because they need more gold farming accs, I have two accounts, My first one got hacked but I got it back, Earned a gamecard + 3k gold now my second account got hacked, In ONE day the hacker managed to do the instance "The Botanica" 76 times, I should've waited to take the account back LOL

@landraider101 Two things here. Firstly, your fault for not securing your acct beforehand. Secondly, removing an authenticator for your account is easy if you call in and confirm you are the account holder by answering a few questions, (acct info, cd key, secret question). If you get hacked, and you catch it in time, Blizzard will still restore your acct with items and gold intact.

If you act like a fool, then everything that happens, you practically deserve.

The only things that can get you password is your mouth giveing it out a trogen or a keylogger trogen is a virus no matter what it will get you password and your new one makes sure do a scan and destroy it befor changing your password then report anthng missing to Gms happned to me got my stuff back and 7k g (gold seller hacked my account >:D)

no they dont. passowrds are stored in an encrypted database.

if you forget your pass or your account is hacked, all they can do is generate a new password for you (random letters / numbers) and email it to you. the MT in our guild was keylogged reccently, so i have 2nd hand experience with this.

BTW its really wierd seeing someone online, and having them tell you in MSN "dude im not online at the momment" -.-
